I typically wear a size 37 but took a chance and ordered a size 36 and glad I did. The fit is perfect, love the look and feel. I will keep them. Minor issue, the pictures show the toe strap buckles as far as the second hole on the strap. The left shoe toe strap reaches the second hole but the right shoe toe strap will only go to the first hole. If I try to move it to the second hole it’s very tight and feels uncomfortable. Maybe over time the strap will loosen up, but it kind of bothers the OCD in me.

Perfect fit all around! Cute and stylish, looks good with many styles!

Would have kept these if I could slip them on without buckling every time- what a pain.

I love Birkenstock’s but am uncertain about this sandal. My normal size is a 41, I ordered a 40 in these, but they are still too big.

I ordered two sizes… The 38 seemed to be a better fit but the sides of the footbed were uncomfortable. The 39 was comfortable on the sides but overall seemed too big. Disappointing because they’re so cute. Looking for solutions for plantar fasciitis.

I had originally ordered a size 39 regular since I wear 8.5 W. They felt like they were 1 size to big so I exchanged it for a size 38 regular and it was a perfect fit. Cute sandles and very comfortable.

I have had my Yara's for about 2 years. They are my go to casual shoes in summer. I always wear a 38 in Birks and these are no exception. The fit is the same as all my other Birks (and I have about 5 pair). I love how leg-slimming and flattering the ankle strap is with capris, shorts, skirts and ankle pants. Wish they would come out with these in other colors besides black and brown.

I really wanted to love these. They look great, but the material for the straps was too uncomfortable, especially the strap that rests just below the toes. The toe straps don't typically bother me on shoes. I thought I could break them in some, but they made my feet ache where it was digging in.

I'm between an 8-1/2 and 9, and tried a 38 and 39. The 39 was too large, but the 38 fit well. Unfortunately, the leather between the toes really hurt my smaller toe on my left foot, while the right foot felt fine. I was bummed to have to return them.

I first ordered a size 39 because I wear 8-8 1/2 normally. The 39s were a little longer in the toe area and heel so I decided to replace them with a size 38 and I'm so glad I did. The 38s fit perfectly and i loved them so much I ordered a black pair too. They are awesome! Straps are long enough...leather feels a little stiff right now (does not hurt) but I know they will soften in time.

I want to love Birkenstocks because of how comfortable I hear they are, but they never fit me right. I guess my toes already too wide. So I ordered these as a last-ditch effort and because they’re cuter than any other Birkenstocks. ugh. So uncomfortable. The toe box actually fit me but the strap around the ankle feels like it tugs when I walk and the bumps in the footbed hit my foot in the wrong places. The sole has almost no flex - I don’t get it… these things are just plain uncomfortable! I’ve tried hard to convert to the Birkenstock cult but it just isn’t for me. Off to find a different comfort sandal…

Fit is great for my size 8M feet. The ankle strap was a killer. Rubbed on my skin, so I had to send them back. That being said, a friend of mine wears this sandal while standing on her feet most of the day. She finds the shoe extremely comfortable.

This is my second pair of these shoes and I love them! comfortable and able to walk a lot in them. strap seems to help so you don’t have to use your toes to keep them on. I do think you should size down of between sizes.

I had to return the first pair I ordered for a smaller size, and if they had half sizes I could have even used a half size smaller. I have feet issues, so the support these sandals offer is fantastic, and they are comfortable, and they look nicer than traditional Birkenstocks. But after a month of wear the left toe strap broke. I glued it back into the shoe with wood glue, but now it sticks up higher than it should. The truth is the toe straps don't really hold the shoes onto your feet, so the shoes are still comfortable, all the same I'm kinda bummed as it doesn't look as nice as it did before, and they aren't cheap sandals.

I love the look of the Yara, just wasn’t sure I wanted to have something around my ankle all the time. I also seem to be in between sizes- the 40 is too narrow but the 41 is too long in length. I’m trying another style to see what happens.

As a Birk wearer most of my life, i have to say the ankle strap is a very nice addition to the already awesome Birkenstock. Zappos- i thank you for your prompt and professional service!

It’s too big for me. Ii think I need a side less than 6.5.

This is a very cute sandal and super comfortable. I am on the fence about keeping it though. While I love the look of the ankle strap, one of the reasons that I like Birkenstock’s is because I can easily slide them on and off. While the strap is one of the things that I like about the shoe, it is also the reason that I don’t know if I will be keeping these sandals. The ankle strap may be too much of a “commitment” for me.

I love my new Yaras! I love the regular footbed as they support my flat feet. I’m able to walk a lot without pain. I used to have bunion and heel pain but not anymore. I got the Habana and I love the deep, rich brown color. The straps fit nicely and helps anchor my feet for easier walking. it looks cute and stylish also!

These shoes fit true to size and a bit narrower than my other birks which caused my arch to hit the edge of the shoe, which was unusual as I usually wear narrow or regular shoes. The biggest problem I have with these is the cross cross strap at the ankle. Somehow, this pinches the skin on my ankles while walking, and after wearing these out for a day they had drawn blood by repeated pinching creating a raw spot on my ankle. This pinching happens at the top of my ankle or on the sides, depending if I'm standing still flexing my ankle sideways or walking. I kept them hoping the leather would break in a bit and the pinching would stop, but with COVID I didn't have the chance to break them in and now I'm out of the return window. I love my other birks and am disappointed this cross cross strap does not work for me because it is a cute style and used on several birks strap sandal options.

I liked these shoes but the ankle strap was too tight! I do have fat ankles but generally don’t have this problem with other sandals

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I own these without the ankle strap. I wanted to try with the strap. I just didn’t like the look on me. I feel like the ankle strap should be the same width as the toe straps. If the ankle strap were thinner I think I would love them. Returned.

Cute shoe and the leather was nice and soft but this one was a full size larger than the Arizona (which I am keeping). Marked the same size on the box and on the shoe. What's up with that?

More grey than oiled black. Seemed like they would rub.
