I wore Birkenstock sandals for many years and hey were the only comfortable shoe I had. We moved and I needed something other than a sandal. I thought I had worn a 37, but after trying these on, I realize I need a 36. I think I may have ordered these once before because I seem to remember trying to get the straps to buckle. It is difficult for me to get around to the outside of my ankle to work with the buckle and I don't think the straps are long enough for my foot and ankle. The sandal is lovely to look at and I like the way the big toe fits into one slot and the rest of the foot fits into the opposite side. If I can't get this shoe, which is too large, buckled, a size down won't work either. Next summer I will look for another Birkenstock sandal, perhaps back to my old favorite, the Arizona.

I normally wear a 6 to 61/2 so that is what I ordered at first. It was way to big. Ordered the 5 to 51/2 and they fit perfectly! This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. They are comfortable and look to be well made. I am hoping they will last a long time!

This sandal is very cute. The leather around the ankle and toe was quite stiff but I think it would soften over time. I ordered one size smaller than my normal size and the length was about right. If half sizes were available, I would have ordered just a half size smaller than my normal size and I would have liked the fit better. My biggest problem with the sandal was the arch support. It seemed to hit in the wrong place for my foot, the arch support was too far forward on the shoe. I will need to send them back.

I'm really impressed with these. I've never been a Birkenstock girl but I liked this style a lot, so I gave em a try. I wear a size 7 in every shoe so I went with a 38, but they are a tad too big. However, I think if I went down a size they would be too small. The ankle strap is a little big; I have to wear it on the last hole, and the one near the toes doesn't have enough strap to actually tighten it. Overall, great arch support, very comfy, and they get lots of compliments!

I purchased these shoes several years ago and loved them. So, I decided to order a new pair as the others were looking a little too worn. The changes to the design are subtle but enough to make me wish I hadn't made the purchase. The leather all over feels cheaper (the footbed looked horrible after one time wearing them, dingy) and the straps are not as soft (as in high-quality leather). Then there was the issue of the placement of the buckle. The straps fit my ankle just fine but the buckle ends up being on the front of my leg. It lands right up against the cross strap in the front. The whole shoe feels clunky and unattractive. It's hard for me to believe that Birkenstock really needed to dumb down the quality to increase their profit margin. I'm unlikely to purchase of pair of their shoes again. Unfortunately.

I bought these to replace the Mayari style that I've been wearing for the past few years. These are very similar but have the addition of the ankle strap. The Mayaris that I've been wearing were a narrow size but I ordered the regular width from Zappos. I didn't see that there was a narrow option for this style. The shoes seem a little longer than my narrow width shoes but they actually seem to fit better. It took me a few weeks to get the Mayari style broken in but the Yaras were comfortable from the moment I took them out of the box. It's taken me a few days to get used to the ankle straps, though. I had them too tight on my first day of extended wear but they've given me no problems since I've started wearing them a little looser. I like that they're a little more secure on my foot with the ankle strap, but they're still loose enough to feel like comfy Birkenstocks. I bought the tobacco color and I was afraid that they would be too light but they are the perfect shade of brown. They look great with dresses, shorts, or pants. Truly a versatile shoe.

I usually wear 10-11, and bought 41 in this style and they fit perfectly. I was worried about the straps based on other reviews, and would say I have average to slightly larger ankles, and did not have an issue (I buckled it in the third hole). The toe on my left foot will need to break in a bit, but overall the fit is very comfortable. I purchased the tobacco and in my opinion the color is true on the website. I really like the lighter color that looks a bit worn in. I have attached pics from various angles in hopes of giving you an idea about the ankle straps. I would recommend these shoes, they are so cute and will be a great addition for summers in Texas!

The leather on this style felt stiff and the shoe looked clunky compared to the Lola style, which I ended up keeping.

These run large. Buy them in at least a half size under your actual shoe size.

The fit is perfect. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and I ordered the 39 and they fit perfectly! I ordered them one day and they were at my door the very next day. Zappos customer service is the best! These are stylish and comfortable. I’m sure I will be wearing them often. Totally happy with my purchase. Zappos ur the best!

Fit and size great. The only problem I have is with the ankle strap, not long enough for me. I have wider ankles and I wish that manufacurers could have some type of sizing for those of us who don't have smaller ankles. The strap fit my 11 year old daughter who wears a girls 4.5 but not in my size EU 41 (US 10). I have the Mayari and love them was hoping this would be a way to switch things up for summer but unfortunately it did not work out. Cute and I have the other

I normally order a 10 in regular shoes but for these I went down to a 9-9.5 (40) and they fit great! They’re also a great width. I have very wide feet and I’m so glad I finally spent the money to order birks. They’re very comfortable and have great support.

Shoes are so cute but... my feet ached after 20 minutes terribly. Not sure I have to get used to them but it’s odd feeling. They go back I guess. Bummer for the summer

I love the style and their very comfortable, which I expected since this is my 4th pair of Birks. However, I ordered the Tobacco color and find it unflattering and shows scuffs and scratched. I exchanging them for the brown pair.

Unfortunately I have thicker ankles than a normal person. The ties around the ankles got smaller or something as I have the same pair in another color and those fit nicely.

I’ve always worn a 40 in Birkenstock, but after reading the reviews that recommended going a size down and after using Zappos’ size estimator, I ordered a 39. I shouldn’t have...returning for a 40. I’d say these run pretty true to Birkenstock sizing if you’ve ever had other pairs. Cute shoe though, I’m excited to get the correct size!

These were returned mostly because I did not like the feel of the raised area just below the toes. I prefer a more flexible sandal. Upper right area of Right sandal had stained area of possibly clear glue... If comfortable to me, I would have kept the sandals though.

I am disappointed in the amount of time it took to get these. I ordered them on a Tuesday and they didn't get to me until the following Monday. I used to ordered shoes from here and they would be at my house the next day. That's why I ordered from you. If I wanted to wait 7 days for a pair of shoes I could get them anywhere. This has happened the last 2 times I ordered from here. You need to step up your game Zappos!!

These are really cute. I typically wear 8.5, but ordered a size down based on other reviews. The footbed was perfect. The ankle strap fit odd on my ankle though and when I took a step, the footbed fell off my foot. This would bother me if I was out and about, so they are going back.

My chiropractor told me to buy Birkenstocks for my feet and I thought these were the cutest of them all. Unfortunately, these are not for anyone with a wide foot. The sides were pinching and even walking around the house was not comfortable.

I wear a 7.5 and I purchased a full size smaller and they fit perfectly. I highly recommend purchasing a full size smaller

Order a full size smaller than your normal Birkenstock size. I was skeptical and did not follow advice from other reviews and I had to return them. They feel a little bit harder to break in but are insanely cute.

Definitely a whole size, if not a size and a half, larger than expected. Also, the ankle strap hits in front of the ankle—not on the outside of the ankle.

I usually where a 6.5 to 7 and size 37 fit perfect. I gave 4 stars on comfort because the leather is stiff and will need to be broken in. After a few wearings I think they will be good.

These shoes have great foot bed support. They feel slightly narrow for my foot, but once broken in, I don’t think this will be an issue.
