I really wish I could have kept these but they were a tad too short. I ordered a 39 based on reviews but I should have gone with the 40. They were really good quality so I returned and ordered a size up.

If you are familiar with Birkenstock Arizona these are as expected. Great arch support, super comfortable, well made and they look great. The Tabacco brown is a really nice medium brown leather that is soft leather but with structure. Love them.

Excellent sandal, very comfortable, just need to give it time to break in, breaking them in will hurt your feet, so just wear them a couple of hours a day until then.

Been wearing these since they arrived. The only downside is the leather strap color really doesn't go well with any for my dress socks, and can't replace those as I finally have them paired to my Bermuda shorts. I have not yet tried walking on water with these, but I expect they will be fine with for that based all the commentary these sandals have elicited form people passing by. Didn't know about that feature when I bought these but am excited to try!

Happy flatulent feet! So I’m a long time Birkie, but because the things last so unbelievably long, this is my third pair only in my life. The two pairs before these were not Arizonas. I’ve worn a Madrid and before this, a Milano. The Arizonas are a bit… peculiar on my feet. I have mega high arches. The kind of banana feet ballerinas would murder for. My footprint is actually detached (meaning my forefoot print and my heel print aren’t connected) and these shoes love to trap air between the footbed and my arches. Essentially, they fart when I walk. Not all the time, but enough. High arches like mine mean even shoes designed for “high arches” are going to victimize me in some way. So these shoes don’t lose points for this. I’m used to it. otherwise, as usual, Birks win again for no blisters, pain, blood, or anything else that tends to be par for the course for mega arched feet. But if you have feet like mine, just beware these are fart shoes. At least until you break them in.

Based on the reviews, I couldn’t decide whether to order narrow or regular. I got both and returned the regular. They were way too wide. I love Birks, they’re a classic that have stood the rest of time!

These fit true to size and the fit is the same as my previous original footbed size 38 from 5 years ago. The color of the leather is a beautiful light brown. I wanted the original footbed because I also have a pair with the soft footbed but 1) I don’t think the soft footbed is as supportortive, and 2) my foot gets hot in the soft footbed during the summer.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them! I had to return the first pair because they were too big. I also changed colors from tobacco to habana because the tobacco was lighter than expected. Customer service was awesome every time that I was in contact with them, both over the phone and email.

Great fit, comfy sandals and love the narrow width.

Perfect as usual for Birks

These are my houseshoes and summer bedroom slippers. I do wear a smaller size in summer when sockless. In winter I need a size up for my thick socks. They are the best for my tendency to metatarsalgia and plantar fasciitis. Birkenstocks are the best for my wide feet. The real leather and original firm footbed are better for my feet and hold up very well for years if taken care of.

I had my last Arizonas for over 5 years, I wore them through 2 pregnancies & A LOT of walking. I finally had to give in and pitch the old ones and buy a new pair bc they were totally worn down. I literally wear these for everything. I forgot that it takes a little bit to break them in, but it doesn’t take too long. Love these sandals.

The size I ordered was a 44, only to realise that I should have ordered a 43, which I think in my opinion would have fit fine. (The size 44 is not that bad but I would have prefer a 43)

My feet are a men's medium width and this is the first time wearing Birkenstock Narrow Arizona sandals. The fit is perfect without side-to-side foot movement. It's too bad so few shoe stores will stock the Narrow (Slim) width and try to convince everyone the Birkenstock Regular (Normal) width is best. On the inside of the Birkenstock box is a nifty foot sizing chart that measures your foot for both width and length.

I had a plantar fasciitis flare-up last year, and never want to go through that again! These will definitely help if I get another flare-up. The first thing I do when I get home from work is to put on my Arizona's! My last pair of Birks that I had 15 years ago lasted me 5 years, and never replaced them. I never realized how much I missed them and how good they made my feet feel!

I’m normally a size 7 but didn’t size down - I ordered the 38 like usual, in the Habana oiled leather. However, I ordered it in the narrow width. They fit great great! I love these sandals. Admittedly, they took a few days to break in, and I wondered if I made mistake ordering them. But after those first few days, my feet started to love them. I ordered them last summer and they’re pretty much all I wore when I wasn’t at work. I even took them as my only footwear when I traveled to CA for a wedding! I ordered another pair recently, in the Jade oiled leather, just for a second option.

I bought these sandals because I’m an avid runner but have bunions and my feet started hurting, even with tennis shoes on. They feel so good when I put them on and I get instant relief. I wear a 7-1/2 in running shoes and bought a 36 wide. I think they tend to run a little big and normally wouldn’t wear a 6. My foot is relatively short but wide and this size is perfect. Since they are unisex, I wanted them to be as small as possible so they wouldn’t look bulky but, of course, they needed to fit properly. I own several other pairs of Birkenstock’s another in 37 (mule style, suede) and those are ok since they are closed toe. I’m glad I went smaller on these. So happy with my purchase. The tobacco color is nice and I think will age well.

I received my order in just a few days and I loved the shoes. Unfortunately they were too big. I have 3 other pair of Birkenstock’s all size 37, but these were too big. Possibly an error in labeling...

Had to buy a size down.

Need to make more holes in the strap for a better fit. I wonder if you have any suggestions or contraption to make holes in strap. I had tried narrow size, but it was not better fit.

I bought two pairs of these shoes. The first pair I purchased in the regular medium width. While comfortable, they seemed a bit too roomy on my feet. After reading another review with the same issue, I ordered another pair in the Narrow width. They fit perfectly on my bare feet. This is likely due to the shoe being Unisex. I kept the medium width pair to wear with socks in cooler weather. I love these shoes! I've always wanted Birkenstocks, but never forked over the money. Why did I wait so long!!

Remember these are unisex sandals. They are built to accommodate feet of both men and women. That said, the 37 Narrow size fits me perfectly. I was skeptical about my size choices, but pleasantly surprised by the great fit! For reference, my normal shoe size is 6.5, but in running shoes I wear a 7-7.5. Based on previous reviews (thank you, previous reviewers), I went with the 6.0-6.5 size - 37. It was a good choice. I wouldn't want them any shorter, but I think the 38 would be slightly too long. As far as the Narrow width - I have never worn a Narrow shoe and consider my feet very normal in width. However, if I were a man, my feet would be considered narrow and slight. So, if you are a woman, I would try a Narrow width UNLESS your foot is slightly wider than usual. All of my toes have plenty of room in the sandals - I wouldn't want them any wider. The straps are definitely unisex - built for a chunkier/thicker foot. I set both of the straps on my sandals to the second to the last hole, and I believe I will have to tighten the buckle to the last hole once the leather stretches some. If I have to, I can punch holes to make them tighter as the leather wears. Overall I am very happy with my new Birkenstock sandals!
