I consistently wear US size 10. The recommended size 43 was too large. I returned those for size 42 which is a good fit. It's my first pair of Birkenstocks and I like them but the style is pretty clunky compared with flip flops I've been wearing for a long time.

Have been wanting these sandals for a long long time. Currently 8 months pregnant and was finally able to justify because I need something that can just slip onto my feet without bending over. Have been wearing them around the house for the past 2 weeks to break them in. So comfortable and are molding to my footbed perfectly. I'm a size 11 women's and ordered both the soft footbed and regular footbed to see which was more comfortable. The soft footbed fit more narrow and had more cushion to start. I ultimately decided on the regular footbed because of other reviews suggesting they would last longer and conform to my foot better. Plus I believe I would have had to size up w/the soft footbed because they do run slightly shorter. Overall I am super pleased with my new sandals and look forward to living in them this summer!

My feet are a 7B with low arches. Following the calculations: add 31 to your size and the narrow fits A-B, I purchased a 38N. This didn’t work for me because my foot completely filled the width (see photo). Per the Birkenstock website, my foot measurements (240 mm length and 96mm width) is a 37R. This aligns with other reviewers’ recommendations. Crossing my fingers!

I hated the oiled look...they just looked dirty and worn. So I returned them. Too bad, because my favorite color is fuchsia and they fit really well.

I really wanted to like these sandals. I've had some off brand sandals that were this same style but they aren't as well made as these are. The problem I had with these is maybe more of an issue with me than the sandal. I have wide flat feet and these sandals weren't too narrow but they were a little too narrow for my liking. The bigger issue was that they have way too much arch support in my opinion as a person with flat feet. As I wore them they just dug into the middle of my foot causing more pain than comfort.

My daughter and I both ordered a pair of these shoes - they are supposed to look distressed, but one pair of the shoes literally looked like two different colors of shoes in the same box. If you like this look, I'd suggest ordering 2 pairs and hope that one will look like they match. Otherwise, this is the iconic Birkenstock - the footbed is a little stiff - if you like more give, consider the soft footbed.

I’m very dissatisfied with Zappos! Tried to buy a pair of Birkenstock and first time I received 2 left shoes and the second time I received the wrong size and model. Fulfillment process is broken and I now find Zappos unreliable.

I received my order today - shoes in a plastic bag, not a box. Very obviously FAKE Birkenstocks. Super easy to find information online on how to verify that your shoes are real Birks. These are clearly not. Sorry Zappos, I have loved you in the past but I'm not impressed.

Absolutely love Birkenstock and have worn them for years. For some reason though the sizing the past few years has not been consistent. I have always worn a size 40 but the same style in different colors I’ve had to size up. Same measurements and fit though which is weird. See photo: the black EVA is a size 40, green EVA is 41 and the oiled black leather are a 42 which is crazy! I’m just thankful for Zappos easy return policy.

I have the magenta ones and love the color however if you’re sweating or your feet get somewhat damp, the color from the leather stains your skin temporarily (a day or two). That happened the first time or two I wore them and hadn’t since but I also haven’t really been exposed to wetness on my feet since then while wearing them, so I’m not sure if the color is set in the material now or if they just haven’t been damp enough to bleed color. Extremely comfortable, but you may need to punch another hole in the leather strap to tighten them more.

I wear a 7.5 and originally purchased size 38, which is US size 7-7.5. They just didn't feel right and after some online research, I figured they were too small. My heel was right at the back and according to "experts" there's supposed to be a little room (a thumb width) for your heel to be properly seated in the heel cup, plus a bit of room at the toe because the shoes will eventually curl up at the ends. And I kinda like the idea of socks in the winter, too. I exchanged them for size 39 (US size 8) and those felt better all around, including at the arch that now seems more aligned with my foot. (BTW exchanges on Zappos are so easy; they send you the replacement immediately, so you can try on both sizes at once if you're on the fence.) I'm still messing with the straps and breaking in the soles, but so far pleased with the purchase. Our house is mostly tile, so I always wear shoes, and was just tired of wearing the same style of Vionic flip-flops after 10+ years. (Also a very good shoe, but there are only so many colors.)

On my second pair. This time, I opted for the old-fashioned footbed. My first pair was a soft footbed, and I cannot say I see any difference. As someone with a very high arch, these sandals are a savior! They are not the most stylish pair of shoes I owe, but for day to day stuff, i cannot complain. They get the job done, and my feet feel fully supported and not strained. I think it is a personal preference, but I opt for half-size bigger sandals as I like my feet "nestled". 

I usually wear a 7 and I ordered a 36 Narrow, which fits my feet and wide toes. Very comfortable right out of the box.

I ordered Narrow due to reviews. They were too small with the width narrowed. Toes were hanging over edge. I should have stuck with Regular width.

I’m a size US 7 and I ordered EU 38 R it fit perfect. Birkenstock Arizona oiled leather are the best fit and quality! They look so classic and bohemian! Love it! Stop thinking about it and BUY IT you won’t regret!! Ps some comment say that it better to size down .. but unless you have very thin feet don’t size down and get your regular size en EU .. check first the sizes card!

I absolutely love this pair of Birkenstocks Its my 10th pair!! The color is beautiful very neutral and goes with everything. If you have never worn Birks before break them in slowly and they will be your favorite shoes.

These are so comfortable!!! The arch support is incredible. I took a long time (years) before I finally pulled the trigger and purchased these--I wish I had gotten them right away. Definitely worth the price.

I love these Birkenstock sandals. The color is so pretty & the comfort & fit is exactly what I'd expect. Wonderful product.

True to size. I’ve always been a size 40 and these are the same. Love the classic Birkenstock style. I purchased the tobacco oiled leather. It’s a neutral color that would go with everything.
