This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. I purchased the Florida soft footbed last year - thought it would be easier to adjust to and it was. This year I wanted the Arizonas, but wanted to try the traditional footbed. After much trial and error in finding the right size, the 37 regular worked for me (in the Florida I take a size 38). I take a 7.5 wide in shoes. It may be that the Arizona is a unisex sandal that I needed the smaller size or that the softbed takes up some room. I find the traditional footbed to be as comfortable as the soft footbed and I am having no issue in breaking them in. I feel the traditional footbed feels lighter on my feet. The Habana oil leather is gorgeous and I do like leather better than the synthetic material. Loving my Birkentstocks and wish I had tried them a lot sooner. Thanks Zappos for your great service!

I normally wear size 8 or 8.5, but always buy Birkenstocks in a size 38, which they translate to size 7-7.5. I've tried size 39, and could wear them, but 38 is best for me. My feet are narrow at the heel, but wide at the toes, and the adjustable straps make for a perfect fit. Birkenstocks help me tremendously with keeping my posture healthy: if my knees or lower back ever feel cranky, the Birkenstock sole helps straighten me out. I'm so thankful to have discovered this during my first pregnancy when I was on my feet a lot at work. The Arizona Tobacco leather is a lovely color, though I think I'll like them best after they are worn in a bit. They come with a faux-antiquated finish. I may give them a basic shoeshine to subdue the faux finish.

These are the best classic Birkenstock’s. I’ve tried other styles and they don’t compare in comfort — these really do mold to your feet and don’t give you blisters once they’re broken in. For me, the break in period on this style is just a few wears and then they’re good to go.

My plantar fascia loves these sandals. They are the most comfortable and supportive shoes ever. They are ugly as hell, but I wear them every day.

I consistently wear size 8B but in Birkenstocks I wear size 37 which translates to size 6 1/2. Just an FYI to order at least one full size down.

This was for a family member. After a few false starts between size and color, we feel we finally got it right. She now loves the shoe and is working on the break in schedule. The shoe looks good on her and is what she wanted.

Love these sandals. I have been wearing them around the house and they feel great on my feet. I usually take a 7 1/2 or 8 and the 7-7 1/2 (38) feel fine. I have a narrow foot so I adjusted the straps to the 2nd tightest hole. Love the tobacco color.

MY FIRST PAIR of BIRKS! I never want to take them off... they are so comfortable! I have always been a Euro 38, and in a narrow, these are perfect! It took me a long while to make sure I understood how to fit them right. I have enough space in the heel to keep them from rubbing in the back. The toe bar is amazing. Love these shoes!

Tobacco is a great color! My Birks are mildy distressed and look amazing with everything I own. I am so happy with this color. The fit of birks are so comfortable. When you reach that point where they have molded to your feet - it is heaven and you will never take them off! Best sandals ever.

Awesome fit

Fits just as expected for a Birkenstock. I have size 47 and normally wear size 14US. Good materials. Bought this pair to replace my first pair of Arizonas purchased over 10 years ago. I recommend using the cork sealant/ conditioner to keep the cork in good condition.

I sometimes wear a medium width in other brands and sometimes wide. If you are in between like me, go for the normal width Birks. Unfortunately, all the cute girly colors are only offered in narrow. These are comfy enough though.

I purchased some off brand Birkenstocks last summer and they killed the bottom of my feet. I splurged this summer and purchased these sandals and I'm so glad I did! I can literally walk miles in these shoes. They're super comfortable! The more you wear them the better they feel! Def spend the extra money and purchase authentic Birkenstocks!

I'm living in these sandals this summer! The more you wear them, the better they feel! Super comfortable. I'm usually a 9.5 in shoes and I originally purchased the 9 which was too small for me. I upgraded to the size 10 and they fit perfectly. Love the look of these oiled leather. I also purchased a black pair.

I've owned / worn this same model for decades, and each new pair has been exactly what I expected.

I went through a Birkenstocks phase about 20 years ago. I loved them back then. But for whatever reason, I switched to various flip flops or boat shoes over the years. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and as an avid runner, with high arches, I was looking for a bit more support this summer. So I switched back to my old classic. When I first put them on, I honestly thought I was going to return them. They were very stiff, both the footbed and the leather. I initially thought, “How did I ever wear these things?” I wore them around the house for an hour or two, and I could feel blisters forming. However, I know the materials with these sandals need time to break in. So I did this over a week, wearing them at home for an hour or so each time. And then it all started to click. Now a few weeks later, they’re easily my most comfortable summer option. They’re well made. They have far better arch support than any sandal I’ve found. And I know these will last me at least several years. I will say they do run very wide. This is the only shoe brand where I’ve ever needed a narrow. I’m normally a regular fit in terms of width. I also preferred the traditional harder footbed, which kind of surprised me. But it seemed to hold my foot better than the soft footbed. Anyway, I’m back to something tried and true that reminds me of my younger days. ;) Thanks Birkenstock, and thanks Zappos.

My favorite pair of Birks so far. If you have any doubt about buying the all leather version, rest assured they are worth the price.

Size and fit is good

I wear Birkenstocks year round. I finally sized them properly. Having worn medium width since my youth, my medium Birks were never a perfect fit. Now I get narrow and they do fit perfectly. I usually get suede, but I’m enjoying the look and durability of the oiled leather. These will be my workhorse Birks.
