Great!

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks and my first Arizonas — replacing a pair of Mayaris I wore until they literally started falling apart. Birkenstocks are the real comfort deal, and how fortuitous they’re back in style. If you’ve never owned a pair before, I highly recommend you go try some on at a physical shoe store in your area before buying your first pair. The reason for this is that your correct Birk size may be far off what you would normally buy. I’m typically a 9/9.5 in women’s. I wear a Birk 38, which they say is a women’s 7/7.5. I would never have thought to order this size if I hadn’t bought my first pair in a brick-and-mortar store. But now that I know I wear a Birk 38 (or EU 38), I know exactly which ones to buy. Also worth noting: Birk’s “Regular” is made for regular- to wide-width feet. The “Narrow” is narrow- to regular-width. This is another good reason to find a local store to try both widths before making your choice. The other thing to remember is that Birkenstocks take breaking in. You *have* to allow several weeks of consistent short-interval wearing for the cork footbed to learn your foot shape. Don’t expect to get your pair on Friday and walk onto the cruise ship Saturday morning with them. You’d just be asking for trouble. Give yourself plenty of time to break in your pair — wear them around the house in the evenings or for any short (seriously — short!) errands and take them off as soon as they start to make your feet sore. Then do it again. After a while, they’ll start to conform to your foot shape and will become hands-down the most comfortable footwear you own. As for Zappos, I couldn’t be more pleased. I bought from Zappos because my local store actually doesn’t sell the style/size combo I wanted, and Zappos did. Plus free 1-day shipping blew my mind. What a world we live in.

The hippie in me loves this classic sandal! I am usually a Women's size 9 (40) but had to go to a size 39 narrow for unisex Birkenstocks.

Usually wear a size 10 women’s in other shoes but went w/ size 39 as per my usual Birkenstocks size and they are a perfect fit. Great arch support- can’t wait to wear all summer long!!

These run large, I typically wear a size 14 shoe, I had to go with the 12-12.5 size. I also had to go with a narrow size, but I have narrow feet.

I was worried that these would be much more difficult to break in, but they were very comfortable. After taking them off, it felt weird to walk barefoot! Looking forward to breaking these in and making them mine.

My third pair of birks. These are by far my favorite style. The heel cup helps relieve pain from plantar fasciitis and was recommended by my doctor. I love the oiled leather look and hope these last me 10 years like my last pair! Zappos speedy shipping and easy return process is the only way to buy shoes in my opinion.

I have two pairs of Birks, both of which I love, and I recently bought a new pair for my partner, whose 20 year old Birks had finally died a lingering death. Do I have to say we love them? We totally do!

What can I really say..... you either love them or hate them. I have been wearing Birks for 30 years and are a go to shoe for just about anything.

Usually wear an 8 or 8.5. Exchanged these for smaller size 7 equivalent but now fit perfectly. Very nice sandle. Great quality.

The best show of its type

if you have a medium width, you might want to consider ordering a narrow in these sandals. i bought a pair of regular width and they are so wide (have always worn a medium). even on the tightest buckle, they were too wide. i ordered these in narrow and they are perfect. they are obviously smaller than the regular width sandals but fit perfectly.

Just what I wanted!

I was extremely pleased with my purchase from Zappos. I originally purchased these elsewhere, received the wrong item, two weeks worth of time and inconvenience to return. Ordered these, received two days later and EXACTLY what I ordered. Do yourself a favor and just get it here.

I love these Birkenstocks. I have worn them for the last 15 years. This is the first new pair I bought in a decade. They are as well made as they ever were.

I love these shoes!! I haven't had a pair of Birkenstock's in years... I decided to try a sandal this time and I wasn't disappointed. However, I originally ordered the regular width thinking that the narrow width would be too small. I was wrong. I had to send back and exchange for the narrow. I don't feel like I have a narrow foot or a wide foot. I'd say the width is pretty normal. Zappos was great about the return as usual!!

Love Birkenstock’s with the original footbed. I’ve worn them for years- and they last for years. I tried the soft footbed last time, and am happy to return to the original soles. So much more comfortable in my opinion. Zappos sent me an obviously used pair, but the exchange process was so excellent and over- the top nice customer service rep, that I’m not mad in the least and will still continue to order from them. I figure with their awesome return policy, the quality control can’t possibly catch everything. Ps- 3 stars for style, because they are BIRKENSTOCKS no one buys them for style. Ha.

I normally wear 9 in all shoes and brands. Ordered 8.5 and they fit like a glove. I would still be on the first pair if the dog hadn’t of eaten them. They are excellent quality and hold up well. They are my go to after work show. A little pricey but definitely worth the money. Great addition when dressing down/causal.

These shoes fit me great! I am actually a woman with a 14 narrow shoe which no one currently makes at this time. I look for very narrow unisex shoes in a 46. These shoes are actually narrow enough for me on the smallest buckle setting. They are classic Birkenstocks and are very well made.

Birkenstocks never disappoint - these are comfortable and fit my daughter's wider foot. The footbed feels like it molds to your own foot after you've worn it long enough and really support the foot. I'm so glad they haven't taken away these classic styles.

Beautiful shoes!!

After much contemplation regarding whether to buy the regular vs the narrow width, I went with the regular width....I am very glad and happy that I went with the regular. My foot is not overly wide or narrow for that matter, just an average foot that appreciates a comfortable footbed. My heel is happy and my toes are excited to be in this sandal. The leather is a little stiff at this point, but I know will be perfect as time moves on. I, as an earth mama, am quite happy with the regular fit on my feet; if needed, the buckles are adjustable.

Absolutely amazing, it’s been about 12 years since I’ve had a pair of Birkenstock’s. No regrets on this purchase!

Amazing sandal but Color was darker than I expected. Also I usually wear a 38 but tried narrow for the first time and they were smaller in length than my other 38’s in regular. I am returning to try a 39 marrow
