Wow, I am really surprised at how many people found no fault in these shoes. I suppose if you're only wearing them as a comfortable, supportive sandal to walk around town in, then you should be fine. But for doing more rigorous hiking or any sort of water sport, these shoes just don't cut it. I'm sorry, I really love Keens, so I hate to say this. The way that the heel is constructed allows for way too much give. Unlike the other Keen's sandals, the heel strap in this one is actually connected to the elastic lace used to tighten the shoe on your foot. So, as you're walking, the heel pulls back on the elastic. This not only cuts off the circulation of your foot, but also allows your foot to slip back in the shoe...a lot. I found this to be a consistent problem. I even tried wearing a smaller size, but the issue never went away. Your foot will continue to slide way back in this shoe so that there are inches between your toes and the sandal toe, and your heel will always be pushed out. Not fun.

Hate. The sole of the shoe isn't as thick as the Newport H2's, which makes them not as useful on trails and rocks. The foot bed isn't as wide, so my foot felt squished and my heel kept slipping off the back and there was no way to fix it. I am very disappointed.

Like all the Keen shoes I\'ve tried, this model is about a half-size too small. The front part sort of pushes your foot back, so your heel ends up sticking through the hole, over the sole.

Please be warned, these are not for pool decks or any surface where you could slip. I love the fit (I have hammer toes so fit is hard to find and important) but when you get the soles wet they are extremely slippery. I fell, sprained my knee hurt my back and hip. (I have previously had total knee replacements and back surgery, so this didn't help). They should not be used where water and smooth surfaces intersect. I have previously used Tevas for the pool but they are not designed for water and the velcro wears out, but they do not slip.
