I am returning these Keen Whisper shoes even though I love my old Keen Whispers. These new ones have a terrible chemical odor. I have tried airing them out for two weeks and there is still an odor that has gone down only slightly from being aired out. Keen has obviously made changes to the materials they are using in their new Whispers. My old ones also have a much softer footbed than these new ones. I am really disappointed. I’ve worn Keen Whispers for seven years but I will not purchase them again. Keen has lost a happy customer.

This is my 4th pair of Keen Whispers. I've worn out two pairs, and this was to be my backup pair...but these have changed, and not for the better. My first three pairs were all ridiculously comfortable right out of the box, just the ideal summer shoe. I've worn these for two days, and I honestly don't know if I'm going to wear them fir a third!. I have fairly narrow feet, and my old Whispers fit. These are wider, which makes the fit a bit sloppy. The footbed is also different, not nearly as comfortable as my old ones were. It feels too firm to ever conform to my feet. I'm really disappointed...and out $90+ bucks.

These were cute shoes that lasted three years of not terribly heavy use during the three month New England summer. They were comfortable so long as you stayed on the sidewalk and useless in sand or water. The toe filled with grit nearly instantaneously and the grit got stuck there. The soles wore out and the thin gray substate for the straps has holes in them. Basically these are fashion shoes - cute, but don't expect them to last.

The stitching on one shoe was way too low and really pinched my foot. Because I was traveling I had to cut that row of threads to let the shoe relax. I love all of my other Keens but this pair had a defect.

I bought this shoe because it said they would mold to your foot. I have worn them for weeks now and they are the same as the day they arrived.

I can't believe how cheap these shoes feel. I had to double-check to make sure they were actually Keen, though the box they came in was not the usual Keen shoebox, like they were embarrassed to claim them. I even went to the Keen site to make sure these weren't some knock-off. They're going back, I'm insulted being charged dollars for something I could probably by at Payless.

I really like these shoes for a week. I used them when I was hiking but after a week, the back stretched. My foot kept on coming out and I had to adjust the string constantly. I will not buy them again. I am disappointed that I wasted my money on them. I just wish that I could return them to Zappos.

This sandal needs an adjustable heel strap in order to fit properly. My foot slips back in these shoes until my heel hangs over the back of the shoe. It takes a few days of wear to notice this, which also means I am unable to return them. They run narrower than other Keens, but I have narrow feet so that part is perfect. But I am very frustrated to have a sandal that fits in all ways except for a design flaw, which makes them almost unusable.

My feet sat too far back in the shoe...heel falling over the edge but toes far from front. Just don't work for me. Shame - cute, for Keens!

Oh my gosh, extremely comfortable Bought these, Keen Venice H2 and Teva Omnium I am a true 9 1/2 - these fit perfectly, lightweight and supportive they don't scratch or have bulky clasps The other two ran short.

First off I love Keen sandals so I thought I would try this new style. Nothing comes wide so we tried stretching them when they arrived. The inside of the sandal feels itchy. And tight. Too bad I tried walking in them a day so I cannot return them but the old styles were always accommodating. I think they have improved their look and their arch support but it is tighter than I expected.

I am having a tough time understanding all of the good reviews for this shoe. I have chronic plantar faciitis. People who wear these for long periods of time, to exercise, to walk, on vacation, etc., will probably be joining me before long with this same problem. There is absolutely zero arch support in this shoe!! That is so shocking to me because they are made specifically for just those things I mentioned above. I have been looking for ages for a shoe to exercise in that is not a sneaker. My feet just get too uncomfortably hot and ventilation is ideal. This shoe is not it. I did order a half size bigger than my usual size and that was a wise move as they fit perfectly and were comfortable - no rubbing, but unfortunately, it's all for nothing. What a disappointment!

Not for wide feet. I may be the only one on the planet who does not like these. I bought a half size bigger, loosened the laces pretty much all the way, and they still leave marks on the tops of my feet. Also made my feet sweat pretty profusely.

I'm not happy about these. If I hadn't worn them outside, I would return them. Initially, they felt good, but in the recent heat, and on the pavement, they feel stiff and binding and, honestly, I couldn't wait to take them off. I wear them at home when I'm roasting a chicken or reading. I had hoped they'd be my favorite walking shoe.

I have a wider and a longer foot but I can normally wear shoes of moderate width no problem. But these did not fit and the run small.

Let me start by saying Keen Newport sandals are the best overall shoes I have ever owned. I tried on every style. Whispers, like Venice and newport H2, are disappointing because they are narrower than Newport and not made for people with foot problems like bunions. It is also unfortunate that Keen doesn't make Newport in bright cute colors like it does for every other style of its shoes.

These run really small. My usual size 11 (which is the largest size for women) didn't even come close to fitting my foot. I'm giving them 1 star for the inconsistent sizing from other Keens I own.

These shoes/sandals are terrible. The side openings let in sand and pebbles, and the shoe needs to be completely removed to shake them out. Worked poorly on both sand and pebbles. Also, the "traction" on the bottom was ineffective on wet rocks.

The Whisper just did not fit right. I've never had problems with any of my other Keens. I ordered my normal size 5.5 and my heel hung out the back, so I tried a 6 and it was the same. The problem seemed to be the opening, no matter how much you tightened or loosened, it would push my foot all the way to the back of the shoe. Love the style and love the color, but just didn't work for me.

I own a pair of Keen Bali and the footbed has a very defined arch and excellent support. I ordered the Whisper expecting the same characteristics but was disappointed that was not the case. The footbed is almost flat, offering little in the way of arch support. I will return this pair and try another style.

Since I own 2 pairs of Keens-1 size 9 and 1 size 8, I ordered an 8.5. The shoe is maybe a size 5 or 6. I cannot get my foot into the shoe.

These sandals were very narrow compared to other Keen styles. I normally take a 7.5, but I could barely get my foot in one. Love the color, but not the style.

Horrible shoe, ribbon on back gives and foot is constantly slipping back in shoe. Ruined my trip.
