I was disappointed in the arch support and sole of the shoe. I have come to count on keens to supply the support I need for my severely arthritic feet. This shoe no longer works, even though I have had Whispers in the past (and still wear an older pair) that have worked beautifully.

I have been wearing Keen Whispers for years. This foot bed in this version seems to be different than in years past and it hurts my achilles. Nov 2017.

I use Keen hiking boots at work and knew I needed to size up for my short wide feet. Unfortunately the 7.5 that works for boots for me was completely wrong for these sandals. They were ridiculously long yet tight across the top, causing unattractive skin bulges in the little cutouts. I couldn't adjust that away and besides the heel strap was too loose no matter what I did. I really would need a 6.5 for the right length but that would have been insanely tight. Forget these if you have feet like mine. I found a teva sandal that matched my feet well.

These shoes always run short. I can overcome this by ordering a half size larger. But they are also too tight and you do not have wider widths. She wears bilateral AFOs and these are simply too tight !

There are many positives about this shoe, and I wanted to love it. But it simply did not work for me. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size larger than my normal size. While this accommodated any concerns about toe-squishing or hanging off the back of the shoe in normal wear, it did not accommodate my high instep. Tightening the shoe so that the back strap didn't feel loose made the rest of the shoe so tight that it pushed my foot out of the back... not ideal walking in the house, but especially problematic for actual active wear. That being said, these were as attractive as they could be for this type of shoe, the toe box felt very sturdy, and the footbed was comfortable. The color was slightly more vibrant than it appears on screen - a very nice coral. If you have a more narrow foot or a normal instep these will probably work fine for you.

Ended up sending these back - they were too big. Ordered an 8 based on size up recommendations when I wear a 7.5 and they were too long. Stuck with the Newport H2 instead.

If I still had healthy feet, these would probably have become my go-to outdoor sandals. I love the footbed and the airing. However, even these padded and well-distributed straps hurt my feet too much. Sad for me. I've really tried to find a sandal that would work, and I figure Keen is the best bet because their last fits my footbed so well.

Unfortunately, these shoes just didn't fit properly - my usual Size 9 was a half-size too long, so I'm definitely glad I didn't listen to reviewers saying to size UP, but the 8.5 was too tight although the length was right. I bought the brown shoes, glad I did choose that color as these shoes aren't the kind you want people noticing - they're not attractive shoes. I can see how they'd be good waders, not so great in beach sand or mud unless you don't care about having sand in your shoes or muddy feet. They wouldn't be slippery, the cushioning is adequate, and you can tighten the strap by using an adjuster on each lace.

This Keen sandal is less bulky than others I've had in the past. Originally ordered a 7.5, my normal size, but heel was at back edge of the shoe. Unfortunately, neither the 8 nor 8.5 worked either - my pinky toe about stuck out of the side on both of the larger sizes. Didn't try to wear either of the larger sizes because of this. Bummed! Rest of the shoe was comfortable. Really likes that the heel adjusts with the bungee, too.

Maybe it's just me, but these shoes clung to my feet so tightly that I had deep, lasting indentations. Never wore them out of the house so that I could return them.

This shoes are fairly comfortable. I ordered a 9 this time instead of an 8.5 which I usually wear in a Keen. Lately some of the Keens seem to be a little short. The disadvantage of this shoe in sand is that it is hard to get the sand out of the shoe without taking it off. And once the shoe is wet it likes to stick to the feet and is more difficult to pull back on. You have to work with it to get in back on your foot--it is not an easy slide. Nice color purple though and the shoe is fine for a normal shoe and not a water shoe.

I bought a pair of these shoes 3 years ago and have worn them out. I was disappointed to find they were wider than before. I have a narrow foot and this exact shoe wouldn't work.

Cute in the box. Unflattering on my feet. Well constructed, practical shoe. Wanted to love 'em. Makes my foot look like yeti. They are going back to the nice folks at Zappos. Gonna try Bali instead.

I want to love these but I don't. They are more streamlined than the other similar Keens I've had and loved for several years now. They make my very wide foot look narrower and less like a snowshoe. However, that makes them tighter in the width than is truly comfortable and as someone else mentioned, my little toe hits right at one of the openings and feels like it is sticking out. And while the front has a snug fit, the ribbon around the back is loose making an uneven fit. Back they go.

I thought this would be a great show after hearing so much about it. I heard it ran small, so was confident of the size I ordered. However, while the width was okay, the shoe was much too long. If I ordered a smaller size, it would have been too narrow. Oh well... True to size in width, much larger in length.

I ordered this and the Merrell All Out Blaze Sieve for an upcoming trip to Asia - lots of hybrid beach/hiking time! The Merrell was much cuter and fit properly - I have never had this happen but my heel was sticking out on the Keen.

I love my Keen Whispers, in fact I have 3 pairs. I needed to replace my black pair so ordered the same size but it fits completely different than my previous pairs. I have a slim foot and the Whisper style fit perfect but not found that the style now runs wider. Disappointed! Therefore I am giving the shoe 3 stars. But, I love Zappos customer service!

You have no idea how badly I want to own these shoes. Personally, out of all the Keens these are the prettiest and for me also very comfortable. I had the Venice H2s to try alongside. The Whisper fit tightly around the whole foot, just felt secure and probably referenced some daddy issues or something, but alas they are on their back from once they came. Because... Well, am I at a loss for why the rubber does not cover the whole big toe like you would want it to. The classic Keen rubber toe business is out of whack with these shoes and it breaks my heart because I really really wanted them. It could have just been my feet too but next to the Venice ones the rubber toe is not the same. I also tried on the Clearwater CNX but it did not have the arch support or cushioning that my feet need.

For my foot, with a low arch, these fit and felt amazing. The only problem was the big toe. The rubber didn't go over any of my toes, especially the big toe... The one you'd think would get covered. It really bummed me out because I really wanted to keep them. They hugged the whole foot. I don't know if I got a lemon but they're going back and I'm sticking with the Venice KEENs. Tear.

Although I ordered this shoe a half size larger than my normal size as I always do with Keen shoes excluding the Newport H2 which fits perfectly in my size, I found that my heel would get pushed back to the very back edge of the shoe. It seems strange because there is some wiggle room in the toe area and I can force my foot forward all the way if needed, but it won't stay there. Footbed seemed comfy enough and I was able to tighten the shoe down to the point of it leaving indentations in the top of my foot, but I could not fix the problem. In order of arch support for my three Keen sandals, the Venice H2 has the most arch support, maybe even a little too much for me, the Newport H2 feels as though it was made for my foot and the Whisper has the least arch support.

Not sure what the big deal is with these shoes. Maybe it's me. I was expecting more support and comfort and they are just okay and nothing more. No arch support and my feet definitely move around in them. I like that they can go in the water, but it's not amazing enough to be this price.

I wanted to love these shoes, but they ride just a bit too low on the back of the heel, especially the right shoe (may just be my body). However, I'm a true 9.5, and I had to get 10s in these, which are just a little too large. I wish that Keen's shoes fit me better, but I've had a sizing issue since I started trying Keens many years ago. Still don't own a pair. I thought that it just might be this batch, so I ordered one from Keen directly...same sizing issues, and on that pair, the right shoe seemed larger than the left. Seems to be a lack of consistency in their manufacturing.

Not happy with this item. Expensive for the quality. No real support. Should cost about half max. Fit was also awkward.

I was disappointed in these shoes. I own a different brand of Keen's and had purchased those in a 10 and they fit great. A size 10 for these shoes is 1/2 size too big for me.

Had high hopes for these but they have very poor arch support. Plus, my big toe nails caught on the edge of a seam which I knew would be annoying - a minor complaint compared to the lack of arch support. Disappointed to send these back because I love the light weight and the strapping is very comfortable and adjustable. If you don't need arch support these are excellent! (Also sending back the Ahnu Tilden V because of poor arch support by the way.)
