usually keen is great for quality, these are not made well and the rubber used is a weird texture. i wear a 5.5 and the 5.5 was true to side. there is no arch support but typical of a water shoe. The grape color, which i got, is a true purple, much brighter than the picture shoes. nice purple color. they also tend to squick when walking a bit. maybe after more ware they'll stop. overall okay shoe. keep looking to find a better one.

Felt super stiff and it felt like there was a bump under my left toe. Cute shoes but I’m returning because of comfort. Boo

I love keen whisper and need to replace a few pairs. The sole of the red is not as shown with light gray/dark gray sole. The color is more like a wierd off white/beigey color like that of grape kiss or safari. Do not like.

I have tried and tried to find Keen sandals that work, but the straps always hit my little toe exactly at the top of the nail. Cannot imagine this would ever cease to bug me, so I have once again sent back a pair of Keen that I could really use if the straps were designed differently.

The shoes fit well and felt true to size. The materials were comfortable on my feet. I felt that the back of the shoe was too low, and I wished it had been a little higher up. While the elastic of the adjustment strap runs all the way down the length of the shoe, I found that tightening it only really puts pressure on the bone at the top of the foot, making it uncomfortable to tighten.

I followed advice from other customers and ordered 1/2 size up and that size worked fine. The look of the shoe is consistent with the photo. I am returning them because instead of providing support in the arch, they provide extra support in the outer rim of the foot ... basically extra support just next to the arch. Not very comfortable. Disappointed as my kids love their Keens.

These weren’t great for wide feet

I have worn a lot of different styles of Keen fitness sandals, but these don't work at all. The straps dug into the sides of my foot and my little toe poked out. They seem to have a strange curve to them. Anyway, thanks to Zappos I can return them with no hassle. I also bought the Keen Uneek in the same size and they fit just great! Highly recommend those.

The sole in the toe area rubbed to almost a blister point just wearing them around the house. Would have loved to be able to have kept them as they were very comfortable and support was great.

Planning to wear these whispers to a hydroplane race. I'll be in the water keeping my brother's boat from drifting away or into other boats ready to start the race. The shoes fit great dry and on land. Had to reorder a few times because the strap on the toe of the shoes was not symmetrical with the other shoe. Customer service was great though. The very friendly cs rep even sent me a coupon for my next pair of Zappos! Great company that ZAPPOS!!!

I am surprised that so many people say these run true to size or small. In my quest for comfortable dog walking sandals, I tried these. I ordered my normal sandal size, which is 6. They are almost an inch too long!! And my baby toe actually peeks out of one the holes! Not attractive. Aside from the length, they feel very snug compared to an old pair of Keens I have. There is not a lot of room height-wise, and I don't know if this would become an issue after walking a lot. The sole and arch support seem very comfortable. I may try a 5.5 to see how that fits.

Second pair...was sort of hoping they would have beefed up the arch support just a LITTLE more. It's okay (I wouldn't say moderate though) as it is but was hoping for that. I still kept them. Shoes are very comfy, especially in a hot climate where one does not like to wear socks! I wear them to work. I got a 9.5 which is my normal size and they are fine. Keens aren't the best for people with narrow feet and these are about the only Keens I will wear for lack of something similar but narrower. They are great with socks in the winter! Maybe my next pair will be colorful!

I tried the 9.5 and the 10 but both sizes felt tight in the same way across the top of my foot. The large size did not seem any wider only longer. I had to return them both. I could not loosen the ties to improve fit. Very disappointed.

I had to return the pair because they were so narrow, my left foot felt like the circulation was cut off. Initially I thought maybe it was because it was evening and my feet tend to swell up a bit when its hot. So I loosened the laces as best I could and tried again in the morning. No, it was definitely the construction of the shoe and I couldn't see how they would ever stretch out enough to be comfortable. I've had several pairs of Keens and this is the first time I've ever run into sizing that was this off.

So cute (blue baltic) but not enough arch for my foot and so tight across my high instep that it made the top of my foot numb.

I have loved Keens for years but these did not hit my foot where I felt they could be worn all day like my other Keens. Something has changed in the sizing of Keens recently and I find I have returned all the Keens I have tried on. Hopefully, the fit and comfort of Keens of years past will return... I miss them.

These were so cute, but the straps rub - and I think (after years of buying shoes) that shoes should be comfy right out of the box - especially Keens! So I sent them back. The Rose and the Newport were very comfy. Rec going up a half size on these.

I love the look of these shoes, and the fact that they come in so many colors. They are adjustable, and the straps are a little stretchy so they go on easily. I bought the blue ones for an upcoming trip to Hawaii, thinking they would match a lot of my summer clothes. I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly. But with no arch support, they are too uncomfortable for me to wear around the house, much less for the half-mile hike to the beach. I really wanted these shoes to work, and am disappointed that they don't. Thanks for your great return policy, Zappos!

I really like the look of these. I ordered up, as I usually do in Keen's, but these were a smidge too long. I didn't find them tight, but I don't have a wide foot (I don't have a narrow foot either); I could see how they could be too tight to someone who does have a wider foot. Ultimately I sent them back in favor of the Venice sandals because my heel kept slipping in these. They seem to have less of the cushion under the straps, and I was afraid they would rub blisters after a while (I like to wear them to theme parks).

ok...first...compared with the Keen Newport sandals, these "Whisper" Keen sandals are, in my opinion, not made as well.....the construction is very "skimpy", that is, sole support isn't as thick as the Newports....to me this means they probably won't last as long, and I don't know why they are so high in price....given all that....I'm keeping them as they are comfortable...but just not as "substantial" as the Newport sandals Keen makes.

I ordered a half size up as suggested, but the shoe still seemed way too long. Going to return and try the next size down to see if that would work better.

Too narrow for a wide foot and did not accommodate a high arch. Returning to try Tevas, though it’s too bad as these look we’ll made and are lovely!

Too long for my feet. The last similar shoe I had was a 7 and I usually wear an 8; these are going back for a smaller size,

I ordered a size 10 and it was way to long so I ordered a half size down and it is ok in length but way too tight. I think these run narrow! Returning both and ordering a different style.
