I ordered 2 sizes and even in the smaller size the shaft was way too big in diameter. These were not the extended size for a larger calf size. I have slender legs but nothing out of the ordinary and this was ridiculous. I just received some other Frye boots in a similar style and the shaft looks fine without gapping. One of the pairs of these Carson boots had scratches and. Both had odd color variations in the red. Going to return them, regretfully as I really wanted these red boots.

I have tried to love this boot but I can't get past the crumpled up look of the shaft. They looked great on line and on the model and all the reviews were so good. The first time I ordered them I thought I must have received a defective pair. So I ordered them again and either I got the same pair or this wadded up look on the shaft was just the style. To me they did not look good. I didn't like the "rode hard and put up wet" look. I'm going to try some other brands. I think that Frye is probably over priced and over rated. Sorry.

I just received these today. I was very disappointed as soon as I opened the box and saw the color. I was expecting them to gray, but their brown! They also do not have to faded look the leather has online. They are just a flat dark brown. Unfortunately, they're going back...and my search continues.

Frye Carson - The look is awesome, sadly the workmanship on the bottom of the boot leaves something to be desired. I finally caved and bought these in Jade & wish I can take them back. They fit well (no break in period), but the quality is not the usual from Fryes and I own many pairs. It wasn't raining, but I stepped in some puddles due to melting snow and it seeped in way too much. Big disappointment. Overall it gets a 3 b/c other than that, these are gorgeous.

Loved these boots but ordered wide calf and they were not wide enough. Very sad to return.

So the boots in the PHOTO are what I received , not the ones in the video the video is of another version. They are for tall large calf girls beautiful but my they are tall I am tall the hit just below my knee and my 14 inch calfs swim in these. I am so sad trying to find beige suede boots has been beyond a challenge.

Nice fitting. Got a half a size smaller as suggested. These boots are overpriced. They do not conform to the price tag.

Love this boot, but not on me - Great design - but not on my feet/legs! Love the leather - very lightweight and perfect for warmer leather and love the toe style. I ordered in navy which is beautiful - a true navy blue, but for me, the heel is too flat for the shortness of the height. I've had other Fryes that were this height, but had a higher heel so looked fine. Other than the heel height and the shaft height, the boot fits beautifully - and is actually the first Frye I've ever had that is absolutely true to size. Sadly, it has to go back.
