Looks badass, feels excellent... I have the boot in smoke, which is a dark, dark brown, and I love it... very rocker chic and very comfortable, and looks good w/ skirts even though I have thin calves. Also looks good tucked into pants. I usually wear within size 7 to 8 and I purchased these in a 7 and they fit perfect. My foot does not slip when I wear these. Although the leather of the boot is not "stiff" and may appear to not have much support to hold it up (the leather is really soft) the boot stays up just fine. Has a lot of attitude and is not your typical "cowboy" style boot. Look at Free People's website for good photos of women wearing these boots so you can get a better idea of how they actually fit. Highly recommended.

Red Carson Boot - As cute in person. Totally comfortable and awfully cute. I get so many compliments on this boot. Worth every penny. Wish it came in black.

Sexy boots! This is my first pair of Frye boots. I love them! They hardly needed breaking in. These are magical boots!

Don’t need a horse - Hurray! I finally found a pair of cowboy boots that feel as wonderful as they look...and I’ve been looking for a lonnnnnggggg time...Zappos happily sent me two pairs overnight to compare which was really important...I can wear them all day even with my problem knees and I get nothing but compliments!

Rockin Boots - Bought them in red and love 'em. I did purchase a .5 size smaller than my usual size. I call these my recession-kickin boots. Though they are a small fortune compared to what I would usually spend on shoes, they make me happy. Hey and my minister at church even complimented me on them!

The perfect boot. I have never had a boot fit so well. I have a large calf, more athletic than heavy, and most boots are a little snug. I would not think twice about paying more for this boot after having tried it on. The leather is butter soft and the look is beautiful in its simplicity. COOL!

Like Butta - What is not to like about these boots? So far, the only complaint I have is that they run rather large and I had to order twice to get the right size. Besides that, I love the color! And the fit is fabulous and comfortable.

Beeoootiful - I ordered theseI ordered the blue. It's a gorgeous color, perfect for jeans and denim skirts and the leather is buttery soft… much softer than my other Frye harness boots (which are to die for). There is absolutely no break in required and there is enough room for a mid weight sock. I wear 8.5, ordered that size and would not recommend going up or down. I have a medium width foot. In short they are perfect.

First pair of western boots - Love these Fryes. I usually wear tall riding boots with a skirt or short ankle boots pants, but wanted a western boot for jeans. Tried the Ariat and Luchesse, they were too stiff for this city girl. I will be wearing these boots around town - not riding in them or working in them. The Fryes are so comfortable - no break-in required. So soft and yummy leather. I was not sure I liked the lack of stitching detail, but I do. As a size 11, I like the slim profile of the sole - when you look down on the boot, the sole does not stick out from the boot. Would highly recommend.

Super cute and different - I was hesitant about purchasing this boot due to the price, but I just loved the colors and the different look of it. I got this in Jade, and I am so happy I did. It is so unique, and the leather is soft and very light; not at all like my old harness boots. Also, it is very comfortable and did not require much breaking in at all. I highly recommend it. These boots will last a lifetime. Zappos was awesome as always!

Exceeds expectations - The leather in this boot is scrumptious. I own many pairs of Frye & the odd Frye boot presents problems fitting my high instep - hard to get on. This boot fits like a glove. They have a slightly worn look & look great with skirts & dresses.

Frye Carson - I have had my eye on this boot, but sometimes Frye's sizing can vary by 1 - 1.5 sizes, so I was hesitant to order it without first trying it on. The leather is butter soft and the boot is so light and comfortable. I usually wear an 8.5, but went down to an 8 in this boot, even with a thick boot sock, with plenty of room in the length. I tried the 7.5, which was still okay in the length, but too tight in the width (they are on the narrow side). And I don't have heel slippage with this boot, which I do with other western styles. The natural color is very neutral and will darken a bit with wear. Overall, a lovely boot that will hopefully hold up well - it had better for the price!

SaaaWEET - And they wear like buttah. Frye does it again! The craftsmanship is superior and the detailing is gorgeous; the leather is so supple and luxurious. I bought the navy and they're dyn-o-mite! What a beeeeutiful boot. This is my 7th pair of Fryes. Yippee ti yi Frye! Buy this boot. They'll fit your feet like a warm summer walk in the sand. Ahh.

Super cute, but they do NOT last! I have had two pair, first one the rubber split open on the toe, and now my second pair has just done the same thing...don't waste your money!

Is this the boot for me? I have a grand appreciation for a boot that can be a statement while slipping into a dress, a pair of shorts, slacks, skirts...This boot has no direction, which makes it wild and fun!!!!! Can't wait to see them after they are worn down a bit. Live a little, go for it!!!!

These are beautiful boots, but the soles are super slippery. More of a western style than a fashion boot. Decided to return.

This was a very pretty boot. the shaft would be a bit high for somebody who isn't all, it was just right for me and I'm 5'9". however the bottom is very slippery, and I almost fell twice just trying to walk across the floor so I'm returning this.

My shoe size is 7.5, but usually wearing 8.5 boots with thick insole to make them comfy. Because size 8.5 was sold out, I ordered size 8 in Sunrise Full-Grain Leather. First of all, I think Frye boots are half size larger and wider than other brand boots. However, this is true to size! They are very comfy. Second, leather is thin and soft. So they are slouch looking. I'm not sure the leather quality. It's OK, but compare to 'Jane Ankle', I think winner is 'Jane Ankle' leather. Third, the color is so beautiful orange like color! I got them for summer boots. They are look like happy sun flower. Overall, if you are looking for 'comfy' cow-girl boots, these boots are for you. But the leather is not quality, so choose sale price one!

My Impulse Purchase - There is nothing bad I can say about this boot. I actually think it's the best boot I've ever worn as far as comfort right out of the box goes. Not a single blister! I am only mad at myself now for making such an inpulse purchase on the Jade pair I got because as great as they are, I don't think I'll wear them that much. They are pricey & I now see another pair of Fryes that I think I would wear a lot more - but I'll have to wait ‘til I'm done paying these suckers off! Seriously - Awesome quality & Zappos as always is the best company ever!

Carson Boot In Sunrise - I ordered the Frye Carson boot in Sunrise because the color online looked very hip, like a yellow/brown. I thought it would be a kind of neutral color that I could pair with brown or black items. I pictured wearing it with turquoise jewelry and floral patterns. When I received the boot, I was bummed. It looks more yellow than orange, but it is in fact the color of a sunrise I suppose as the name implies. I have a long and skinny foot. The size 11 I ordered was definitely big enough for my foot. When I walked around in my house, my heel did slip a bit. The leather as other people have described is a soft slouchy leather (which is very nice-like butta) and NOT a heavy duty leather. If that is what you are looking for, I recommend the harness boot which has a substantial leather. I own the Harness boot in brown and I LOVE them, the leather and style is much more sturdy. I have owned my Harness boots for 6 years, they are my favorites, a classic boot that looks good with everything and I have only seldomly polished mine and they look even better than normal.

Excellent Boot! This boot fit me perfectly from day one - and I have a wide foot. The only thing I wish is that it came in black - I ordered the boot in "Smoke" and though I like it, it's more of a brown or sable than as dark as it looks online. I kind of wish I'd ordered a more fun color like the red or blue since I already have several pairs of brown boots and shoes. It's awesome structurally though - they took absolutely no time to break in.
