These are absolutely gorgeous and also comfortable, a combo you don't often find. They are very tall, but at 5'4" they hit just below my knee. These are quality boots and when you open the box the leather smells wonderful. They are easy to get on and the calf is comfortable, not too tight, and not overly expanded. I have average calves but sometimes find tall boots too tight on my legs. I also ordered the Easy Spirit Leigh tall boots which are English style and very comfortable. Can't decide which pair I like more!

I love these boots! They are perfect for game day! They could go red or crimson. Either way. BUT I ordered the size 9 "extended", not knowing what that meant. Well, neither did the Zappo's rep I ordered from on the phone, but after researching a little I found out "extended" means extra wide in the calf. Extra space in the top at the calf of the boot. But too late, they were on the way. So now I'm exchanging them for the regular because I have little skinny legs and those swallowed my leg and since they are sold out in my size I'm going to try half a size up. Hope that works because I really want these boots! They will last me a life time. Love Frye!

These boots fit well and were comfortable. The color was beautiful,but I was just not sure how often I would actually wear a pair of boots that color in NYC. I think I was hoping that they would be more of a burgundy color. That is the only reason that I did not keep them. I may yet order another pair in a more NYC color, like black or grey or dark brown.

Zappos, thank you for your patience! I finally have the pair of Fryes I've been looking for! As others have said, do order at least a half size smaller than your usual size. These boots will stretch a bit, and you don't want your heel to be slipping with every step. After trying several different styles of Fryes, I've settled on the Carson Pull On. They hit me about mid-calf (I'm 5'4"), and are 'slim' enough to fit inside my Levi's pant leg without looking awkward and stiff. Heel height is comfortable and perfect. Will wear them them with both jeans and skirts. Gorgeous. Love!

My third pair of Carson Pull-Ons and these ones are not as good. They are causing me alot of pain and I would love to return them.

Truly the perfect boot. Goes with everything. I wear them too often. Order a half size down, they run a little large.

Awesome boots! I'm not a cowgirl in any sense of the word, but I heard that once you find a pair of cowgirl boots, they will last forever and be the most comfortable shoes you ever own. I gotta say, I agree. I don't know about the lasting forever part, I've only had them for a month or so, but the comfortable part? Oh yeah. They mold to my feet, fit over or under jeans comfortably, are snug enough around my calves so that they don't slouch, and the smoke color is pretty awesome. It's like wearing slippers and this is coming from someone who almost always sneakers. These have replaced those sneakers for the most part and are doing their job fantastically. They are one of the priciest pair of shoes I've ever bought, but I adore them. They're worth it!

I love these, especially the smoke color! I think that they may run a little large though because I had to add a thick insole to get the fit right.

I just got these boots today, AWESOME! I got the natural color and they are so cool. I think they are just neutral enough to wear with black or brown. The leather is sooo soft! Thank you Zappos!

YIPPEE KAI-YAY! I have been a Frye lover for almost 20 yrs & I'm still in my 30s. I still own my Original Harness boots (they were made with Vibram soles at the time which I miss), but when I had my first child, my feet sadly grew so will be saying goodbye to my beloved boots. SO... looking for a replacement, I made the monetary leap and ordered these on a whim since the Harness boots being made now just aren't fitting right. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Carson. I found them true to size (9), but I do wear them with heavier athletic socks. Extremely comfortable... I could go on for days. The only reason they haven't walked out my door on my feet is the cost (oh if they only were in the same price range as the Harness) and I can't decide what color. I got the Blue which is beautiful! But there are 4 other colors I know I would also love! (If they were cheaper, I would get a couple colors!) Hey, I had to give up over half of my shoes/boots when my feet changed... sigh... I know I'll be keeping them... in some variation. Of course, Zappos is my new religion! They are wonderful!

Awesome boot!!!! These boots are ...awesome!! The first day I wore them they were comfortable ALL DAY--and I am on my feet running for subways and work in NYC. It was also 90 degrees and I was NOT HOT!! But I got a lot of looks as these boots are gorgeous with a skit and sox--no stockings.

Frye Carson Boot! Great boot that fits true to size and very comfortable. I have in 2 colors (neutrals) and always get compliments when I wear. Cannot go wrong with this boot!!!
