I am in love with these boots! I had been wanting a pair of Frye boots for a few years and finally decided to purchase these when they went on sale. The extended size (wide calf) fits perfectly and I am often in between normal and wide calf sizes because I am petite and wear a size 6. The size 6 fits well, if a bit snug, so if you are in between sizes, I would size up half a size. I wore them the first day for about four hours and they were still comfortable. The leather and workmanship are quality and I can't say enough about these. I am super happy with this purchase.

These boots are amazingly comfortable. I have a pair of Frye harness boots that are not very comfortable, the leather is too stiff, so I was hesitant to buy another pair, but these feel completely different. I'm very picky about shoe comfort and have a high arch, and these fit right out of the box, no breaking in required. Danced at a wedding for several hours the first time I wore them, with no discomfort whatsoever. They are a little hard to get on at first, but this gets easier with a few wearings. I usually wear an 8, but tried them on in a store and got the 7 1/2, which are perfect. Very happy with my investment!

I loved this boot. The sunrise color is beautiful. The boot fit fine and looked great, but I could only swing for one pair, and got the same model in shorty--eggplant. These are much more practical.

Glorious!!! I got these in Jade on a whim and I am soooo thrilled with them. I ordered my usual size and they feel and look like a dream. Super soft and comfy the second I put them on. Show stopping boots! If you are on the fence-just go for it! Worth every penny. As for Zappos service-I should be used to it by now, I know, but they still thrill me. I ordered yesterday and they arrived today. Seriously-how do they do it?

There is no way the shaft height is 14"!!! It must be at least 15 and was tooooooo tall for a petite person. Bummer. Such a pretty boot.

I thought the leather on the shaft would be soft and pliable but instead it was very crumpled looking and felt rough. For some reason I had trouble getting the right boot on and off - no problem with left foot. I've never had this problem before. Very comfortable once on - I just didn't care for the rough crumpled look.

What I loved: the stunning Crimson color, the suppleness of the leather and the comfort of the footbed. The reason for my return: the boot shaft fits like galoshes into which I could nearly fit 2 of my calves. Now I do have these skinny little calves, so consider that. I thought I may have ordered the extended size but as that was not the case I returned.

Hey, all. These are beautiful boots, but they are not the Carson boots in the video. I've been looking to replace that model for a while and was excited to see them here; however, this is not the same boot. These boots are taller with the traditional Frye slouchy ankle potential. returning because they are not the model I was expecting. When you are 5'3, tall boots need to be just right, and these hit just below the knee. For most, they will be great.

Sadly I am returning these boots, I own several pair of Frye boots and love them all. The leather is beautiful and you can't beat the quality. They do run large and I always size down, from a 6 1/2 to a 6. Ample room in the toe box on each pair. These are lovely if you have a wider calf, for be there was way too much extra gap at the top of the boot, perhaps someone with longer legs where the top of the boots don't come up as high would have better luck, as I am only 5'3. :-(

Great looking boot, I ordered this boot because it looked great and the reviews were wonderful as to comfort. I returned them because I was very disappointed due to the lack of body the leg leathers had. There is absolutely NO body to the leather on the leg, and over time they will slide down the leg. The leather is way too buttery for a leg boot. They ran large too, so I returned them; disappointed. They are also made in Mexico, so I assume that Frye is not American made anymore. Too bad!

These boots are flat-out gorgeous! The leather is smooth and beautiful. I was in love when I saw them. Of course beautifully made by Frye. Unfortunately the tops are wider to accommodate a wider calf so I regret to have to return them. They feel like waders. Other than that they were perfect. I am so disappointed to have to do so.

Love them Did not get extended calf but still a little roomy. Ordered half size down from normal. Toe box quite roomy but not to much. Can wear hiking socks if I want. Also put in a flat basic pair of Innersoles as I do with all my boots.

The fit in the extended pair was wonderful, it gave me enough room to put my foot down into the boot past the ankle. Love them.

I am in between a 8.5 9.0. Originally ordered 9, but returned for 8.5, which was better fit. Run a little big, and leather will stretch. Zappos customer service excellent in helping with exchange. I love the boot, so comfortable, easy to pull on. Great quality/ leather. I want another pair in different color.

Surprisingly comfortable but I wish they had the Frye button at the top on the pull on loop.
