Perfect for walking in snow, slush, wet weather conditions. Comfortable fit, snug without being constricting. Great traction in snow and ice.

I've been wearing these boots off and on for the past 18 months, and I love them. They're really comfortable (better than most sneakers I've owned), with almost no break-in period. And I've never had footwear that's this versatile. In these boots, I've strolled the streets of LA, hiked in a creek on Maui (and my feet stayed dry!), and tromped through endless piles of Midwestern snow and slop. These boots are dressy enough that I can wear them with a pair of Dockers during the winter months in my job as a real estate agent. Whether I'm doing paperwork at the office or walking through the pasture at a listing in the country, I never think about what's on my feet. To me, that's the best thing about good footwear -- you forget you're wearing it. My only complaint is that the top eyelets (the holes/hooks where you insert the laces) are open, and sometimes I get my pant cuffs caught there. This probably wouldn't happen if I laced up the boots all the way, using all the eyelets, but I like to leave the top one open because it gives my ankle better range of motion. Regardless, this is a minor complaint, and is hardly worth mentioning. Bottom line? Treat yo'self and buy these.

I thought that the initial fit was going to be too snug in the middle part of my foot. I need and bought wide. However after just a few days of wearing, the fit is very nice.

It's been 20 years since I had bought a Timberland shoe. I was looking for a comfortable high-top hiker that could be worn with jeans and casual clothes. When I tried them on in the store, they felt really comfortable. I've owned them for several months and am really happy with them. I don't usually write reviews, but the design is excellent, and I do appreciate well-designed products, so I felt like I should post a review.

These boots are lightweight, and the lacing system is fast and secure. Lugged sole is not as hard as a Vibram, but provides excellent traction and clears itself quickly. However, the break-in period is a painful one, with ankle pain and large toe bloodied (on top) after wearing on initial 5-mile beach walk in thin socks. This is only occurring on one foot, and my feet are exactly the same size, so this points to a manufacturing defect or harder leather on one side. I am wearing them a bit every few days, but this is a rare thing for most lightweight boots nowadays, and I am not used to it. My old Vasques and Danners from the '70s took a long time to break in, but when they did, they were excellent. I am hoping for better from these, soon. I am running out of pads, tape, and blood. I reserve judgement on these so far. Having the Gore membrane is good, but not at the expense of comfort, especially if there's a quality control issue.

My husband got a pair last year and he wears them every day. I bought him another pair because he wanted to have a spare in case something happened to the first.

They fit great right out of the box. I went on Line and ordered the boots and with thin 3 days they were on my door step. Service was excellent. I couldn't be happier with the product and the service, Thank You.

I purchased these boots 10 months ago, just before starting my winter job, which is operating a snowcat at a western ski resort. When I first put them on they felt like I had worn them for months - perfect fit! I was in all conditions of snow every day all winter and my feet were always dry. (The laces on the left wore out after 2 months or so; laces may be the only weak part of these boots.) I wore them into spring and even early summer, hiking on trails sometimes in wet, muddy conditions, and working on the ranch. I'll be getting a new pair this fall for sure.

The only bad thing that I can say about this product is that when they arrived they didn't look new. Pretty scuffed up. But besides that these boots are the greatest. I will buy them again as long as they are available. Very comfortable, even to wear all day.

I bought this boot for a trip to Montana for hiking. This boot is one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I have ever owned. I have owned more expensive brands, and none were as comfortable as these boots. They are more comfortable than any pair of athletic shoe I have. The boot was difficult to break-in initially.

Unfortunately, Timberland boots used to be nice and wide across the toes while still holding my narrower heel. This is no longer the case. They are running narrower. So sad. So, I'm making do with a size larger. Otherwise, its a great, sturdy comfy boot, and the Goretex liner is perfect for keeping dry in wet weather!

I bought these boots two years ago for a family hiking trip to Peru, I have worn extensively ever since. They are perfect for winter, (walking in the snow and then in school) I personally cannot stand having cold feet and these are perfect for me. But most impressively, today during hurricane Sandy up in New England, I noticed that my neighbors driveway was about to get flooded. I threw on the boots and along with three other neighbors stood in an ankle high river of water for fifteen minutes clearing out storm drains. When i went back to my house, the inside of my boots were completely dry. After over two full years, these boots feel good as new.
Highly recommend!

These boots held up real well for me. I use them every day and do building maintenance, grounds work, snow removal, etc. I treated the leather twice during ownership and it helped enhance the waterproofing. They lasted me about 20 months of daily use. I am now looking to replace with a similar boot, but something with a rubber toe cap since after about 18 months use the leather began to come away from the sole on the left boot. Maybe a reinforced from cap will help them last longer? The soles are worn out and the boots served me well. They also breathe better then my last set of work boots. Overall I was very satisfied.

Very fast shipping to APO! Extremely comfortable boot. They are so light that I honestly thought the box was empty and started to get upset. Nice arch support. Looks like they are built well and will hold up. I am wearing them in Afghanistan, so hopefully they'll stand up to the dirt, dust and conditions.

I bought these boots for my husband in preparation for a trip to Colorado. He never takes them off. They are lightweight, supportive and breathe so they aren't too hot. Great purchase.

Have not water tested yet. However all positive reviews I read on different sites have been true.
I have no fear that these Timberlands will match
or exceed previous positive reviews on being waterproof.
Very comfortable. Light weight with good arch and
excellent ankle support.

I have on my feet 8-16 hours a day. These boots are lightweight and comfortable which helps to prevent foot fatigue. They seem durable so far.

I have bought these boots 10 times and never regretted it. I am very tough on shoes. I have them resoled with harder rubber when they wear down. The upper lasts forever at the stitching, but delaminates at the glued toe, every time. The speed hooks break and the metal thread holes pop out. I have my cobbler swap them to eyelets. I keep a pair of broken in hikers built and ready to go, and working on a second build to have as a mailable reserve pair for a trip on the AT. I keep two old pairs, one as painting shoes, the other for tar work. The rest were throwaways before I found a cobbler. The inside liner lasts forever. The insoles need to be swapped with the honeycombed Timberland Pro versions. Feels like walking on air. They can be totally saturated from wading through water and will air dry hanging on a pack while wearing slippers, but will dry on your feet if you have to. Pull the insoles out to speed the process. No break in period needed and they won't chafe your feet (if your feet are broken in). The biggest problem is the toe delaminating, it's inevitable. I am going to try one of the Loctite 400 series bottled glues, and possibly the Loctite PL 400 Subfloor tube to securely reattach the rubber, permanently, because the cobbler won't touch that. Again, I've spent over 1k on these shoes over the past decade and there isn't a better all purpose shoe. I believe in fixing things because you can usually make them better in the process. Would be a 5 star shoe if they fixed the lacing and toe.
