I love Merrell\'s and believe their construction is excellent. However, these were not nearly as comfortable as I\'d hoped. I can only wear them for a few hours without having to change shoes. Still, they are attractive and I do wear them when I can. Zappos has always made it so easy for me to do anything with shoes! Bravo on the service!

Got the wide size and it still wasn't wide enough. These are sized perfect, just very narrow. Loved the color and style and sad I had to return them!

Good, comfortable walking shoe and good neutral color for winter but shoe laces keep untying even when double tied.

Comfy shoe for simple day hikes. But after a year, the tongue slips to the side & the rubber tip at the toe is coming unglued. I probably hike\/walk trails one weekend a month. I don\'t know why it is falling apart so soon in it\'s lifespan. My husband got a pair of Northface hiking shoes (same price point) and his shoes are just dirty, not coming unglued. I think I am going to have to try the Northface Hedgehog as my next day hike shoe

I couldn\'t decide between this shoe and the Merrell Ventilator, so I bought both - and this one is going back. I preferred the Ventilator much more. I did not like the cushioning in the Siren Sport as much. Please note that this shoe does run true to size, or even slightly large. I\'m an 8.5-9, but I always buy a 9.5 in Merrell\'s. The 9.5 was way too large for the Siren Sport. It\'s also very roomy in the toe box, and fairly wide.

This shoe looks great on so it gets high marks for style. However, the comfort is only average. It took a few days of heavy wearing and walking to break in. The heel is still a little stiff, I would like a little more cushion as I am a hard heel striker when I walk. Order half a size bigger than you normally would, perhaps a whole size if you plan to wear thick socks and walk in them all day (i.e. vacationing, hiking).

It's a shame these were uncomfortable on my feet because I loved the style and light weight (usually Merrell shoes tend to look clunky, but these actually make the foot look smaller!). I had to return them because the interior seams press right onto the sides of my big toe and pinky toe where I have painful calluses. If it wasn't for that problem, I would have given these five stars all around.

It\'s okay. I thought I would wear them for light hiking - wrong. They rub your feet on the top and the sole is not tough enough - I felt every rock. I just use them for cycling now. They are very cute though.

I really, really wanted to like these but the insoles were made for someone with high arches and the medium width was way too narrow for my foot. I usually have no trouble with standard width shoes. I'm familiar with Merrell sizing, so I was surprised by how contorted my feet felt wearing these. I would have exchanged for a wide width, but it appears there are no 11 wide pairs in stock. These feel like they would be a very comfortable hiking shoe if you had high arches and a more narrow foot but if you have Yeti feet like me, you may want to order up if you can. The shoes are very light weight but feel quite sturdy. Nice combo, and the low ankle doesn't rub like some hiking shoes can. Bummed these didn't work for me.

At first I bought an 8 regular, but felt it was too snug and wanted to wear these as my walking shoes. I had bought a pair of the slider (slip in) fur lined Merrells for the winter and they were the most comfortable shoes ever. I have plantar fasciitis and some kind of occasional pinched nerve feeling around the big toe and ball of my foot. Unfortunately, even when I went up to a larger width these shoes just weren't comfortable. I bought heel inserts because my heels hurt, then I bought pads to raise the ball of my foot up to relieve the pinch nerve, that didn't help. I was debating calling Zappos but I had tried wearing these to work and had worn them a few times thinking they needed to be broken in. At last resort I tried using a Spenco arch support I had and that has made these shoes bearable. Which I don't understand because Merrells has great arch support... I never had a problem with the slide in Merrells so I don't know why these just hurt in so may places.

I am disappointed in my 2nd pair of Siren Sports! First, they seem much narrower; the shoe is mostly straight from toe to heel and there is no nice wide toe box like most Merrell shoes. There is really no sculpted foot shape as most athletic shoes have. Secondly, there is not the usual cushioning that a good athletic shoe has and the arch support is only mediocre. I do a lot of walking and asked my podiatrist what he thought of them and his response was "those are not functional or performance shoes; they are for design". My podiatrist specializes in sports medicine and is a big fan of lots of Merrell shoes, esp. the Encore series with their big toe boxes, but he did not like this model. They are not nearly as good as the old Mesa Ventilators! They are okay for light trail walking, going on errands, but for my power walks, I have switched to much better Asics! I would NOT recommend these shoes for serious athletic activity!!

Great heel and arch support. Great style. Unfortunately, the tongue and lacing over the foot and toes created discomfort and numbing. Fit true to size and width.

Cute shoes, but way too stiff for me - I really tried to like these shoes. They look awesome and with the vibram sole, I had high hopes. However, they just aren't the shoe for me. I found them to be very stiff, with not enough padding, and after just a few minutes, my feet began to ache badly. They're very narrow as well. I also found that the 9.5 (what I usually wear) was too small, so maybe order up a half size if you decide to try these shoes.

Purchased this shoe for travel. I wanted a shoe that could double as a light hiker and comfortable city walker, keeping weight down for carry on baggage. Tried it on a recent trip to N. Mexico. It performed adequately, but I am disappointed in the workmanship. Like some of the others whose reviews I read, I got blisters. Upon close examination, I believe one major cause is the poorly constructed interior of the shoe. You can feel rough edges, seams, etc. that I would expect to be covered. Also, I do not care for the round laces. They slip and require double knots. Thirdly, I would like a little more cushion in the ball of the foot. Compared to other Merrells I have purchased, this one does not measure up. However, at the price, I will make some adjustments myself and wear them. I would not likely buy another pair.

I bought these shoes for my wife. She’s had them for two months, but recently one of the top, black eyelets that the laces go through has broken off. Evidently these plastic eyelets are just stitched on and if they break, there is no alternate hole underneath to run your laces through. This is a major design flaw! I used to love Merrell, but as far as durability goes, they have nothing on Keen.

Awesome walking shoe! This walking / hiking shoe is beyond comfortable, and looks great - actually makes my size 10.5 feet look not so big!

Watch out - This shoe is so cute, but it has a few pitfalls. It is terribly stiff. This is good if you have a flexible foot, but I like a flexible shoe with some give. The shoe is unforgiving of bunions or hammertoes; I plan to have surgery in the summer for my problem foot, and am keeping the shoe in anticipation of a properly aligned foot. Otherwise, I would have returned them. Let the buyer beware, but lord, they are cute!

Well I chose the Siren Sport because I really liked the look of the shoe and the reviews I read made them sound great and especially comfortable. I was quite disappointed the first time I wore the shoes--there was no cushion, no support and my feet actually ached afterward. I gave them the benefit of the doubt; maybe they needed to be broken in? It hasn't happened yet. I haven't had them very long so I'm hoping I'll grow to love them more. I purchased them expressly for hiking and I would not recommend them for that purpose.

Q-angle! What a load of BS. When I walk in these shoes my heel hits the ground and then FALLS inward, causing my steps to be really jerky and awkward. Not to mention these shoes barely have padding. My last pair of shoes were springy and comfortable, and these are not. Also, I have high arches and the arch support leaves something to be desired, and there's...I don't even know what it is. It's like arch support but in different places. Maybe these would feel better in a wider size, I don't know, but the whole q-angle thing is enough to make me want to return them because I'm apparently a dude and don't need special shoes to walk comfortably. They're pretty cute though, it's a shame I don't like them.

Already owning a pair of Merrell sandals, and loving them, I thought I would try these. I originally ordered the Siren Sport in a size 8. I had to return it and order a size 9. After wearing the shoes for 4 hours, my feet burn. If I had not already worn them outside, I would return them for a refund. For the price, these shoes are a big disappointment.

So cute for a hiking shoe...but not enough toe room. Have other Merrell's. This time got the "wide" to allow for thicker socks. Even more narrow than my regular width! Going back.

Meh - I wasn't impressed with these shoes. I was looking for a great pair of shoes, I'm a nurse and my feet need good support for long shifts. These did no offer enough arch support and felt heavy. I would return them if I could but my husband threw out the box as soon as they arrived.

Even though this shoe looks beautiful on, I am sadly returning it. I bought it for walking and hiking, and it it too loose in the heel area. I don't fee like it is supportive enough. The laces also loosen.

This shoe got great reviews but it didn't work for me...will be sending it back. The length was true to size but the width seemed a bit narrow. Also the look of the shoe was not attractive.
