These are cute shoes, but mine have a lump in the sole. I had worn them all day so I did not feel right returning them. I am going to try and remedy that with a different insole. I love the look.

I was really happy to receive these shoes. They are great. The only issue I had is that I think I ordered a half size too big. These shoes take no time at all to break in and are really loose compared to my other all leather pair. The arches in my feet hurt until I got used to the shoes but I think that is because the arch support is very good. My feet don't hurt when I wear them anymore. I usually wear an 8 in a shoe (it is a size too big because my feet are wide). I would wear a seven in these as a perfect size,

I like the look and feel of the shoes, but I sent them back because the heel is raised which I find uncomfortable.

I had owned a pair of these before and found them to be an excellent shoe for my problem feet, but these seemed to be running a bit more narrow than the previous set.

Had to send the first pair back because shoes run small. Second pair fit just right. Color is slightly darker than shown. Great for hiking

The Merrell Moab Ventilator shoe runs shorter than others, so may need to get a larger size. The shoe is supportive and good-looking, and Zappos is great to work with.

I have plantar fasciitis and need to replace all my current shoes. I ordered a few pairs from Zappos last month and kept only the Merrell Moab Ventilator. I wore these shoes around the house a few hours for a few days, they felt very good and gave me good support. I wear 7M. Best of all, I love the style and color and my right heel doesn't slip during walking. Because my right foot is slightly smaller than my left foot, I have issue with all my other shoes. My right right heel will slip slightly but not with the Merrell Moab Ventilator. Unfortunately, when I started to walk on the street, I felt very different. The shoes do not give good arch support. I tried taking away the liner and inserting a super feet orthotic for arch support but it doesn't work. Because both side of the shoes curved up a bit so making the inside very tight and uncomfortable. I think if I don't have my plantar fascia issue, these shoes are a good choice.

Very comfortable! Helps keep pressure off the heel. My only concern is the toe has no padding or lining for when you are walking downhill.

I am not sure what all the fuss is about with these Merrell Moab Ventilator hikers. I tried them on, they felt ok, apart from the toe box being tight and the tongue of the shoe digging into my ankle. I bought my correct size. I have returned these. (I did very much like the design, though.)

This was my first hiking shoes purchase so I can't really compare these to other hiking shoes. I hiked around with these in the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA and did not get any blisters. As for breaking the shoes in, I wore them for a day around the house. These are very sturdy and have a great grip, no slipping on sketchy terrain. They are very comfortable, the only reason I am not giving these 5 stars is due to the cushioning, I wish they had more of that. Last, not least, this shoe runs small so you might want to order two pairs, half a size and a full size up and return the pair that doesn't fit.

I've worn Merrell before with no problems, but my first pair of this shoe was 1/2 size small. Ordered the next size and they're fine. Great shoe, but too small.

Great shoe...my 4th pair. I wear them to work and I am very hard on my shoes. These are great hiking shoes as well.

I liked the shoe. But, unfortunately, I am returning it because its not true to size. I normally wear a size 9, and this shoe was too short.

I always wear 7.5, this ran small so I exchanged for 8. Still runs small, toe box is a little too short. Agree with other reviewers that they can be worn right out of the box. I did have one blister on my heel though, after a short (2 mile, 600 ft elevation) hike. Overall not a bad shoe, just not the right fit for me.

Comfortable right out of the box. No rubbing or sores created, and you don't feel the surface through the sole. I have a small foot but always order a half size larger to accommodate the sock and to allow for swelling. I would order it again.

This shoe fit in length but was very narrow. I have a slightly wider foot but don't usually need to buy wide shoes. Otherwise it appears to be a great shoe - I wish it fit!

I live in my Moab Ventilators, when I'm not in my Merrell Encore Breezes. I have terrible feet and these are sturdy but gentle underfoot and the ventilation keeps my feet from getting over(f)heated. They're my standard for walking the dog and we walk a lot. I just bought my third pair. But they are pretty ugly, I must admit.

This shoe came recommended since I am on my feet all day on concrete. Tried my normal size but ordered the next 1/2 size up. Much better fit. Works well with my inserts also.

Very comfortable but too short and low in front on toes. I will try a half size up and cross my fingers it will still fit my narrow heel.

Finally a shoe that works. Have orthodics, a right hip replacement, a tender previously broken left foot,so need cushioning, support, stability..have tried Brooks, New Balance, Nike, Mephistos, etc etc etc. A friend suggested Merrells and I chose this one...after trying in stores and online many many shoes...this one fit comfortably and offered what I needed...or seems to...from get go. I will use this to walk outside with confidence I've not had for too long a time. Was an avid walker prior to hip replacement from fall and emergency surgery...look forward to doing that again as Spring breaks out in New England. Ordering another pair to have on shelf as know from experience manufactures change shoes and it's often hard to duplicate what you have even just months after...I ordered 1/2 size bigger to accommodate orthodics and was glad I did. Found I need to replace the shoes to solve the heal slippage, but once I did that these shoes fit very nicely.

I love this shoe - the only thing is that it does feel like my little toe on my left foot was being pinched - the other foot was fine, so maybe it was just my toe, or the socks I had on. Either way, I wore these shoes fairly new (only broke them in 2 weeks before our Colorado adventure vacation) and they were a lifesaver in the mountains! I love the color - the Beluga/Lilac was perfect - they looked good with my stretchy/yoga pants in either black or grey, and super cute with jeans. They look to be a little bit heavy/bulk, but they felt light on the feet, which was great when climbing in the higher altitudes. They are great on all types of terrain, especially the loose gravel surfaces and even in the snow! I wore them when we went horseback riding, and they were super snug and easy to clean afterwards. I am a Merrell customer for life now!

I really wanted to love these shoes and I wore them for several days in misery hoping it would get better. I got a size 8 which is what I normally wear, although sometimes I have to get a 8 1/2. These shoes were very tight and my toes on my right foot were jammed up at the top of the toe box, to the point my toe was curled under. I would have had to order a size 9 (something I have never worn) to even be close to comfortable.

I liked these shoes, and they fit well enough except for one item. They seemed to grip just a little at the heel, and it rubbed on the inside of my foot. If I had better arches it probably would not be a problem. They are light and have just enough tread for gravel and dirt trails where I walk the dogs.

I love these shoes; however, I've had to make a few adjustments. They run about a half size too small, and my big toe was rubbing the front of the shoe. I also added an arch support insert in addition to what comes with the shoe. I have high arches, so that wasn't a surprise. Otherwise, they are comfortable, walk like an old favorite pair, and look great. I would recommend them, but make sure the fit is correct before starting out on that first big walk.
