I love these shoes. I actually have an identical pair that I had for over 3 years and used for many hiking occasions. This new pair will serve as my "clean" pair to go around town rather than on the trail. They fit great and last forever with proper care.

These are terrific right out the box. Wore them on day one to hike around in the Red Rocks outside of Las Vegas on a vacation. The performed beautifully and are also a good and comfortable choice for travel. They look awesome and the light color goes with everything.

I live in the country, and I found out the hard way that my Mizuno Wave Riders could not cut it on muddy trails. Fast forward a couple of days: I decided to buy these Moab Ventilators based on the positive reviews and price point. They fit true to size. I wear a 9.5 or 10, always a size 10 in athletic shoes. The size 10 is perfect for me: roomy in all the right places and lighter in weight than the last pair of hiking shoes I bought. I like that Merrell has teamed up with Vibram for soles. I ordered the shade called 'Smoke', which looks true to the picture. Myths to dispel (for what it's worth): 1. There should never be a break-in period for athletic shoes. They should feel good from the get-go. 2. Don't be afraid to size a half size to a full size up. Women often wear shoes that are too small, and have convinced themselves that unless their feet feel completely bound by a shoe, the fit isn't right. Roomy is better so long as it's not too wide so as to compromise stability and promote blistering.

I love my Merrell's, 1st pair I have bought and won't be the last. My feet are feeling so much better, I can't believe it.

Before I purchased these shoes I did read several of the customer reviews to determine if I needed to size up from my regular size 10 or not. With running shoes, I generally will have to go to a 10.5, but other shoes no. I do have a different style of Merrell shoes that do fit in size 10 so I should have known better, but I went with the reviews that said they had to size up. I received the 10.5 and they were indeed too big. I could wear them, but it did annoy me that my heal slipped forward and it just didn't hug my foot well. I immediately reordered the shoe in size 10 so I could ensure they wouldn't be too small before I sent the 10.5 back. I got them in and the size 10 is perfect. So for me, there was no need to size up at all and they are very comfortable.

Two years ago I bought my first pair of Merrell's and I literally wore them every single day to walk in (okay, maybe I skipped, like, 3 days in 2 years). These shoes are well made and as long as they keep making them every two years or so I will buy another pair. My shoe size is 9.5 and a 10 fits me great because I walk up and down a lot of hills and for my exercise shoes I like to have a bit of room.

Super comfortable! Looks great! Toss-up between this and the Susanville. This looks more sporty, and has mesh fabric whereas the Susanville looks more outdoorsy and has leather/suede fabric.

I love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and they didn't make my feet hot in the least. I wore them for light hiking in the mountains last weekend and loved them. I felt quite light on my feet! They're really cute too!

Extremely comfortable. Good gripping for light hiking. Warm, I would not recommend for hot weather unless you tend to be a cold person. True to size.

I bought these to replace a pair that was a few years old and was very pleased to see that the styling and construction hasn't changed. I especially like the wide toe box because I have bunions. The arch support provided isn't enough for me so I put an orthodic inside and wear them all day without any discomfort!

Comfortable! Lightweight and really fit well. I usually wear a 5.5 but in European sizing I wear a 36. These were a size 6/36 and the fit really well. These are comfortable the second you put them on. Really great shoes.

I bought these shoes for my daughter for a 4 day hiking trip. She never bothered to break them in and they were perfect. She never got blister or rubbing. She thought they were great.

The reviews I helped before purchasing these shoes were true, it is ready to wear right out of the box. It is comfortable to wear for my on your feet all day job!

Great shoes for daily wear and light hiking. They breath really well so your feet don't get as hot on those extra warm days. They also work well with orthotics.

I love these, but after doing several long 10+ mile hikes, I think I need a half size bigger. My big toes hurt after walking that long, especially the toenails. I'm sure it is because my feet swell while walking and end up bumping the fronts. I got a 9, which is what I usually wear, and what my previous Merrells were (finally wore out after about 5 years), but I am about to order a new pair in 9.5 and see if that helps. The shoes are really comfortable and on shorter hikes they feel great. I am ordering the same model in the half size bigger because I really think these are the best. This non-waterproof version was more comfortable to me than the waterproof ones, which seemed more stiff. I also have very narrow feet, but these fit me very well, I just have to tighten down the laces.

I ordered 4 different shoes from Zappos and these were the ones I chose because they were so comfortable. Plus, I thought the color was subdued which is a big plus when traveling and trying not to look like a tourist. I can wear these for hours with no complaints at all. I highly recommend them. I love Zappos!

Purchased these just before a trip to Colorado where we did a lot of hiking. Right out of the box these shoes were so comfortable; we even wore them on flights instead of packing them. Great buy!

GORGEOUS shoe! I followed a review that said it ran 1/2 size small. For me, not so. I find all Merrell's run true.

Yay, 3rd pair's a charm! I never order shoes online, but Zappos has such a great return policy I figured I can't go wrong. I placed two orders for three shoes total and returned two pair - no problems. These were the most comfortable from first trial. I'd only tried stiff leather hiking boots previously and was amazed that quality hiking shoes could be both supportive and comfortable. I've already worn them for about a dozen miles (several hikes) and even for exercising via elliptical, rower and walks. I did order a half size larger than I've ever worn (regular width), because of other reviews, and was glad because the shoes did not crowd my toes.

Having a harder time breaking these in than the last pair of Ventilators in lime green. I bought a half-size larger but the toe box still seems more cramped than the last pair. They are still feather light and very grippy on the trail.

I am really glad that I splurged on these. I do not usually spend this much on shoes but these are really good quality and will serve me well. They had no break in period. I like the look of them. I am very glad that I read reviews and sized up half a size. They fit perfectly. I have wide bad feet but these work for me.

I bought size 9 and they fit great, despite me being a size 8.5 in sandals and lighter shoes. This gives me extra room and my toes feel great with thick socks for the winter. Thanks zappos community for the helpful reviews.

Great shoe. The width accommodates my wide foot. The support and comfort lets me enjoy hiking. Love the shoe!
