Customer service at Zappos is the best I have ever experienced.

There are two Moab, one gortex and the other waterproof. The gortex is more expensive, but it has better padding in the heel. It is worth the extra $.

These are my favorite shoes. I wish the styling were just a bit different, but otherwise, these are the only shoes that I have ever had straight from the box that felt like that old, comfy shoe you wish would last forever. While they are good for light hikes, I find them perfect for urban hiking. I plan on using them around the larger cities in Ireland as I always hike my own little town with them without ever having problems. They're not hot and I never blister with them, ever, no matter if it's a new pair or not. They don't quite go with khakis for casual nights out, but I don't let that stop me. I'm not really a paragon of style, but I do know comfort. I also know value, and these are it.

Great shoe, my 4th pair. I had an issue with fit. The return process was simple and a new pair was shipped immediately.

I bought these for my nephew and he loves them. The fit was perfect and they were comfortable right out of the box. We hike in a variety of terrains and they worked well in all of them. They are waterproof and this was put to the test on several occasions and not a drop of water got in. Thanks, Zappos!

This is a great shoe. Stiff sole for uneven ground but still flexible. I wear orthotics and ordered a half size larger which worked perfectly. Also want to thank Zappos. I went through five different brand/size combinations. All came with free one day shipping and free return. Thank you very much.

3 years of heavy use. I will have to replace them soon, but I am very happy with these walking shoes. After 12 or 14 hours you want to take them off, but that's the same with any shoe that I've ever had.

I bought these to replace my old Patagonia hiking shoes, which are no longer in production. I like the Merrell Moab much better. For one thing, the inner heel doesn't disintegrate like my old Patagonias. For another, these are amazingly comfortable and provide tremendous arch support. Highly recommended

As a person with a wide foot, it's hard to find the right shoes for any activity. I'm usually stuck with NB, Dunham, and the usual brands that people in the same boat are. I've been a big fan of Merrell products for a long time and i'm glad they are making a wide line. These shoes are awesome. They have an extremely wide toe box and fit well. Support is great, i'm a pronater by nature, and these curb that right out of the box, without custom orthotics. They are solid as a rock and i've tested them from everyday wear, general walking, to serious hiking. The fact that they are waterproof is a bonus as well and i can testify that they are indeed. Based on other reviews i ordered a size up and found this to be a mistake, i had to return them and get my normal size and they fit perfectly.

The shoe seems great so far. Very comfortable in the first few miles of use. Well constructed. I am always impressed with Zappos because they offer me free returns if I am not satisfied. Their service is terrific.

I was looking for light hikers that could pass as athletic shoes as well. These shoes spent more time on the treadmill than the trail actually. So it worked out well for me. After over a year and a lot of miles they still look fine and have most of the tread left which is impressive. However, at this point they are starting to lose their support, so it is time to find new shoes. They were comfortable from the first day. I have wide feet and have to be careful of shoes that run narrow. These were very roomy. If I bought another pair, I would go without the Gore Tex which adds a couple ounces an makes them warmer and puffier. They were very tough and easy to keep looking good. I am trying a pair of Vasque Breeze 2.0 Low trail runners next and will review them soon.

Great Shoes for all terrains, extremely comfortable, like them so much I bought a second pair almost immediately.

This shoe fits perfectly in a size 12. I was able to wear it hiking with no break in period. I am very happy with the fit and the style. Good shoe, good price.

Hokey smoke Bullwinkle; I bought my pair of Merrell Moab Gore-Tex back in August 2012! I wear them a lot! I should feel embarrassed that I haven't replaced them yet, but I don't! I'm out and about in rain, snow, and mud; they clean up nicely and the only thing is that I've had to do is replace the laces. I am a Merrell convert for sure! I know that people will ponder their price, but Merrells are truly money well spent!

These are great shoes. I have tried several brands of this type of shoe and all felt uncomfortable. I am a perfect 12. They definitely have a formed insole with good support. They are not stiff like some waterproof shoes. The Gortex is breathable.

Excellent shoe for heavy people. I weigh over 300lbs. I usually wear out a shoe in two to three months. With an upgraded insole I can wear these for one year. Excellent, heavy duty, fabulously constructed shoe. Heaven sent! Love Zappos too!

I purchased the Merrell Moab Gore-Tex in a wide size. True to other reviews, these shoes do take a bit to break in, but once limbered up, they are providing excellent support and truly effective foot and knee stability. I am quite pleased with my purchase and whole heartedly recommend them. Regarding my purchasing experiences (plural) with Zappos.com: All I have to say is Zappos provide the benchmark that all other companies can but hope to aspire! Thank you, Zappos, for providing truly superlative purchasing experiences (plural)!

I finally convinced my husband to look for some waterproof trekkers. My husband has difficult feet to make happy. These make them happy! No surprise after having bought a different Merrell shoe for him recently that he also loves. They came in the width he needed - not available elsewhere. We ordered two sizes just to be sure and took the larger ones to more easily accommodate his orthotics. We walk our dogs over some rough terrain and often there's water to walk through. These do not disappoint and he's traded in cold soggy sneakers for warm stable happy feet. As usual, Zappos does not disappoint and it was easy to ship back the size that didn't fit quite so well. Go Zappos!

I walk every day on varied terrain ranging from asphalt to very rocky trails. I was looking for a shoe somewhere in between the two extremes I normally wear on my walks - hiking boots and running shoes. I also wanted something waterproof - tired of wet socks from morning dew, frost, or snow. So far these fit the bill. They are a compromise: they are not as light or flexible as running shoes but after a very short break in period they were quite comfortable, and unlike my hiking boots, they are comfortable to leave on after my walk. I occasionally do a little trail running and would consider using them for that. Look great with a pair of jeans - styling is excellent. Order half a size large - they definitely run small.

I really like the fit and comfort of the Moab. I have not tested the Gore-Tex waterproof yet. My only complaint is that the laces do not stay tied. I hope they will wear out a little and grip a little better but even when trying to tie very tight they still will come untied.

Excellent Shoes. They were very comfortable right out of the box. I am almost looking forward to a New England snowstorm so I can see how they perform in such situations.

Excellent service, fast, free delivery. Selection you cant find in any store. This shoe runs 1/2 size smaller than usual, if normally wear 9 1/2 order a size 10. Merrill makes a great shoe.

These shoes are excellent. Very light weight for their size, super soft feel and surefooted. I'm excited to try them in the rain/snow soon. They seem a bit warm, definitely no concerns about wearing them through winter, especially with the Gore-Tex.

These are absolutely great shoes. This is my second pair. I bought my first pair five years ago. They hold up! I went with Merrell because the leading competitor did not have wide hikers. I am glad that I went with these. I wore them just for hiking at first then got to wearing them almost daily. I liked them so much that I just bought another pair to replace my old ones. I definitely like the Goretex lining, it will keep your feet dry and they still ventilate air. I highly recommend them. If there has to be a downside, I would say to replace the inserts with ones with better arch support. I use prescription inserts and they fit well in the shoes. Buy these today! You will not be disappointed.
