I love my Merrells because they have a great fit & are helpful support because I broke my right foot & they give me more stability than a regular shoe in my transition. I've been a fan of Merrells for years too.

I find the Gore-Tex version of this boot to be better than the lower priced non-Gore-Tex. They are cooler and are better constructed. Run true to size. Little or no break in. Zappos as always was great.

Great shoes, very comfortable. I had to return my first pair because they were half size to big, no problems at all. The guys at Zappos send me a new pair in no time. Love my shoes, love Zappos!

My husband and I have used Merrell Moabs to hike in the North Cascades, High Sierras, and Rocky Mountains in Montana and Wyoming. The availability in a wide width is a big plus for my husband.

I love that Merrell offers a Gore Tex boot in a wide width. I had this same boot from Zappos and was buying a second pair. Of course, Zappos was great. These boots were not originally available, even on the manufacturer's website. Literally the next day, I got an email from Zappos saying that they were available and I had them within two days. I usually have to wear a custom orthotic arch support, but the arch support in these boots are comfortable enough that I don't need them.

Love them - break in is super easy. These boots are comfortable so far, haven't got a good hike in yet, but these seem promising!

Great all-season, all-purpose boots. About three years ago I developed a nasty case of tendonitis in my left foot. Basic diagnosis was wearing stylish shoes, with no support. I used to buy cheap-a** department store sale shoes and boots. Once I switched to Merrells, I've never had a recurrence of any type of foot issues. I've worn these Moab Gore-Tex Mid Wides nearly every day for 2.5 years before the sole started to separate. I work as an IT tech in a manufacturing environment in the upper midwest. During the hot summers my feet never got sweaty. In the winter, they never got cold. Rain or snow, my feet stayed dry. I've trekked over volcanic rock formations, muddy trails and hard pavement and the boots have held up, with very little tread wear. There's been some fraying at the collar, but that's pretty much to be expected, as we aren't talking Kevlar. As for the Gore-Tex element, oh yeah, that's what makes these bad boys the best. Pay a little extra, and you get a lot for your money.

Very satisfied with Zappos. I have a son with Down Syndrome he wears orthotics and only has a size 7 or 7 1/2 in mens. A small wide shoe is difficult to find. Zappos always has a good selection of brand name and decent looking shoes in his size.

I own 3 pair of Merrells for different conditions and all have performed great. I can't estimate the miles hiked in national and state parks in 10 states from WA to FL and all have held up very well. They are comfortable out of the box and give good support. The Gor-tex versions perform well in very wet conditions.

This is the third pair that I have bought for my husband. He walks every day and absolutely loves these shoes. I get him the wide size even though I find that Merrell shoes tend to run a little wide. After years of trying to find shoes that do not hurt his feet we finally found the perfect ones. I hope that they keep these in stock.

I purchased these after enjoying comfortable hiking the past Spring and Summer in the Moab Low-cuts. Looking for Mid-height and Gore-Tex for the upcoming season. I have EEE feet and the Merrell Wide size fits great. Soles have great grip in the rocky with scree trails in Colorado and give a good sense of security.

I've had these boots for about two years and I'm going to buy another pair. I've worn then for yard work around the house, wet soccer fields for my kids games, and even 10-12 mile hikes in the Tahoe National Forest. They are lightweight and let my feet breathe, but also keep my feet dry. I love them. I wish they came in other colors though.

Love these boots. Have bought several pair and so far, they don't disappoint. I am a female but buy the men's boots for hiking as they are wider than women's and more comfortable.

These shoes are comfortable right out of box and seemingly will last for several years due to hthe construction. One impotant note on fit, I have a 4E foot and the wide size fits. If you have wide feet get these you won't be sorry. Also they run 1/2 size too small. I am usually an 11-1/2 in these i order size 12.

Simply the best light hiking shoe there is. This is my second pair. Truly waterproof, lightweight, comfortable, and tough. I wear them to work, where I am on my feet all day and I hike in them also.

Wow! These were the first pair of Merrell boots I have purchased and you can believe the hype. They require ZERO break-in time. My feet were completely dry after a long rainy hike. Super comfortable with very nice ankle stability. I have glass ankles so that was a nice bonus.

I got these boots 7 months ago and the are my everyday hiking boots. I HIKE AROUND 15 MILES A DAY AFTER WORK. I DON'T USE THEM FOR WORK I USE. RED WING SHOES WITCH ARE ALSO A GREAT PEAR OF SHOES. THE MERRELLS ARE MY MLST FAVE SHOE BECAUSE they are Very nice and durable. the gore tex waterproofing is one of my fave things about them. I tested them on the first day I got them by putting them in a 5 gallon bucket with just enough water to go to the top. so I left them in there for 24 hours and WOW the where not wet at all. and the vibram souls are amazing. like I said I hike around 15 miles a day and they held up for so long the in souls are not very good but other than that the are a 5 star boot. I got a new pair today on sale for 125 so that's good!

I did a lot of research before purchasing these boots. I wanted a pair of hiking boots that would withstand both cold and wet weather without a problem, yet was comfortable enough to hike all day in. These boots had a lot of good reviews with a few bad ones sprinkled in. The bad reviews were typically about the comfort of the boots and that worried me. I decided to purchase them anyways after reading hundreds of reviews on dozens of other boots. When I received the boots I put them on and they seemed comfortable right out of the box. I do not have a high arch and do not need any arch support. In fact, boots with high arch support typically hurt my feet. These were perfect in regards to fit. The ONLY complaint I have about the boots is that the Gore-Tex outter layer is semi-stiff when you first get them. When I first put the boots on and laced them up, the top of the boot near my toes kind of folded right onto my big toe whenever I took a step. Whenever I would take a step forward, when my back foot was on the ball about to push off, the material on the top of the boot folded inward toward the base of my toes and was uncomfortable. I found that if I loosened the boots in the front by my toes when I laced them, they were more comfortable when I walked. After the first 4-5 times I wore them and broke them in the problem was almost unnoticeable. I would say the boots are just as comfortable as any other pair of shoes I own. One thing I will mention is the fact that they are VERY waterproof. I walked for 4 hours through heavy, wet snow up to my ankles in these and my feet were not wet at all. Very solid boots.

Man, I love these! I'm an old backpacker from Colorado and all throughout the west. In the old days we had our boots handmade by a guy like Steve Comito - Estes Park bootmaker. They would take forever to break in and the feet would look like chop meat in no time. So now I'm back in NYC and head out to Crested Butte, CO once a year for some hiking and walking thousands of miles with my dog now in the city. I bought a pair of these for my last hike in Colorado last summer. Bought them in Crested Butte. But when I hiked it felt like I had my socks bunched up in the boots and I kept taking them off to see what the matter was. Well, the matter was 1) I had Morton's Neuroma and 2) the boots I bought were the standard width. Finally, after many decades of getting the wrong size shoes and boots I decided to try these same boots in the wide size. Just what the doctor ordered. I love 'em. Gore Tex, great support, durable. And I tried others from Zappos and kept sending them back. These babes are staying here. Nice roomy toe box for my wide feet. I still have that thing called Morton's Neuroma but now it's so much better I can't believe it.

I have had a couple pairs of the non Gore-tex version of these great boots, and walked both pair to death. I wanted to try something with a little waterproofing, and these fit the bill. I have not worn them in streams or midsummer yet, so I cannot say how waterproof they are in more than heavy rain. Or if they will be much hotter than the regular Moabs in summer. What I do know is that they are very comfortable, warm and sturdy. They are great hiking/walking shoes. Just remember that these run small, about half a size.

This might be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned in any style. Been out hiking with them in both winter (ice, snow) and summer (90 degrees +) weather and had wonderful performance.

These run true to size and width. They fit comfortably. This is my second pair and my first pair lasted about one year before part of the sole near the toe began to separate from the upper. I used to wear my first pair almost daily in moderate terrain, so I believe they held up well. Excellent waterproof feature and themal capabilities. Good traction and foot support I found while wearing these boots. That is why I purchaesd another pair.
