Zappos is the Rolls Royce of on-line shopping! Exactly the boot I expected.

I bought these for my fiance to go hunting/camping in for 6 days. He would be walking around for miles a day through thick brush and these shoes were great! They protected his ankles both from burrs and from rolling and he said they were comfortable from the second he out them on until the end. Good dang shoes, Merrell!

These are great! I hike 3 to 4 miles a day on asphalt, grassy meadows, woodland and hills. Good positive traction on all surfaces. The Gore-Tex lined are all I buy; they keep my feet dry in heavy dew or snow. I use 2 pair and alternate every day. I have used this model for several years and recently bought my 8th pair. No break-in required. I normally have to replace the removable liner at about the half life point.

These boots were what I needed - wide enough, light weight, yet sturdy with Gore-Tex for small river crossings, not too hot. I could wear them for hiking immediately without problem. We'll see how durable they are in the long term.

This is a great company to do business with. The boots were great but after about 30 days I had an eyelet break. I called customer support and was spectacularly surprised! I have never been treated so well and this was even for a complaint. I told my family and friends of the great service. Before I could ship back the boots my computer crashed and I had to call again to get my lost info and they treated me just as wonderful as the first time! Customer service at its best!

Great shoes! Most waterproof hiking boots are heavy, rigid and make your feet too warm. The gore-tex on the Moab helps keep your feet comfortable and happy. They are light and flexible- great for walking through slushy city sidewalks and climbing trails.

These are great boots! I haven't found any better! Very light, fit right! Super comfortable!

These boots are great. I bought them for my husband as a Christmas present. He loves them - and he's very picky about his shoes! They are lightweight and keep his feet dry and warm.

I ordered a 1/2 size bigger in wide. Fits perfectly. Very comfortable from the start and didn't need long break in time. Great lightweight hiking boot with Gore-Tex XCR.

I wore these right out of the box on a winter hike. Walked through shallow streams. My feet stayed dry and the shoes felt great.

Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn! I originally purchased to wear at work and have decided to purchase another pair for every day wear.

The boots I received were exactly what I was looking for, shopping online made it easy to make my selection! Being in the military and currently deployed it helped knowing that if these boots were not what I was looking for I would be able to send them back free of charge and receive another pair within the month! The shipping process was very fast which also helped me break them in before using them in the field!

They are very light weight and feel great. I am a contractor in Afghanistan they great for this rocky landscape.

My husband loves these boots. He is hard on shoes and wears them out quickly. But not Merrells. He also has broken both his ankles (at separate times) and has nerve damage in his right foot. Because of there long wearabilty and lightweight comfort, he will never wear a work boot again.

My husband thinks these are the most comfortable shoes he has ever worn. He has wide, small feet and these are true to size. Climbed Mt. Fuji in Japan wearing them this summer.

I walk every day & live in a very wet part of Oregon. This is the first pair of boots I have had that keep my feet dry! They are comfortable & fit well, too, although I had to buy a half size larger.

Lts of volume (good for thick socks or orthotics); very good ventilation (feet don't overheat).

First time out with the Merrell Moab Mid GORE-TEX XCR was in some super slushy snow. My feet stayed nice and dry throughout my 5-day trip in Yosemite. The fit is generous and roomy for the wide version of the Moab. Great for backing packing, hiking, and running around town. Love this shoe.

It is really too early to fully rate my purchase, but I will focus on the fit. I wear a 11 4E running shoe, but have found dress shoes in 10½D that fit fine, so I can be all over the board. I bought the Merrell in an 11W. I found it to have good room in the toe box, so width was good, perhaps a little wider than expected for a wide (compared to an EE width, e.g.) but initially thought that I might have to return them for a 10½W when the heel felt a little loose; however, I wore them around the house for a few hours and the normal foot expansion made the fit more comfortable. A review of how they will hold up under hiking conditions will have to be later, but so far, so good. I do plan to be a pair of Superfeet inserts to go with these.

I bought these shoes to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and they performed very well. They were very water resistant as advertised, and they still looked good after a week of hiking through all different types of terrain. These are good boots for all seasons, as they are pretty warm. When it was hot out, my feet got a little hot, but not so hot that they were a distraction. When it was cold, the boots kept my feet very warm. The fit was very comfortable right out of the box, and no breaking in was necessary. However, there wasn't as much arch support as I expected. There was some, but not a lot, so my feet had to adjust to that for the first couple of days.

These shoes are sized up too large, unlike the female variation which is sized appropriately. After receiving a smaller size I noticed the left boot has a construction error and so I am sending it back, as it is too uncomfortable to wear for even a minute. This is disappointing as the boots look nice and durable.

I haven't used the boot much yet but am really pleased with the fit and comfort. I also feel that it is a very light weight boot.

A very good shoe. I wore it hiking the grand canyon, canyonlands, arches, and rocky mountain national parks, all in a little over a week. I would certainly reccommend it.

Comfortable good looking boots. No where near as waterproof as I had hoped. The finish wore off quickly showing white spots. I went hiking in them several times, then they fell totally apart.
