This boot was really cute on, but it ran a bit small on my toes. It was also pretty snug to my calf and I couldn't fit jeans or pants under this boot, so I had to return them. I'd say go a half size up if you purchase, and not for those with larger calves!

I love this boot, but it sure doesn't fit my foot. Unlike my other Timberlands these run very long and narrow, and my feet and short and wide. The 7 1/2 fit me in width, but was way too long. The 7s are snug but too long, and the 6 1/2 are like a vice grip around my foot yet still seemed slightly long. They're so cute, and waterproof, and I love the non-slip soles for winter, but they're going back!

These are way too small. I was so sad. These boots looked great, but they did not fit at all. I am a typical size 9 always, but these were unbelievably tight in the foot and way to tight in the calf. Plus, there was a big ridge at the heel that rubbed and was painful immediately. I really wanted them to work, but had to send them back. Ah, well, at least Zappos has plenty of other similar boots to try.

Gorgeous boots but runs small. If you have a more athletic leg, you may run tight on calf!

Wide boots? These boots look great. I bought the "wide" version, but they are very tight on the calf and loose around my foot. Despite all that, I love the way they look on.

Cute Boot - Super cute boot but not very warm for a winter boot. The description says it's great for an athletic calf although I found it tighter than its 16 1/4" dimensions said it would be. Worth the little sacrifice of comfort for fashion.

Not my favorite Timberland style - The boot has a "biker" boot or work boot appearance. I ordered brown and it is a rustic/weathered look. Has excellent traction and is very comfortable. If you want a work boot that is more stylish and comfortable than typical work boots, this is the one for you. I am somewhere between a 6 1/2 and a 7. I tried the 6 1/2 and it felt big so there would be room for thick socks.

Really Nice for the Money - Nice leather boots - just what I was looking for in terms of casual country style. My calves are 16 inches and normally I would need a wide calf size, so I ordered these half thinking they'd need to be returned. I was surprised that I was able to zip them up. They are snug on me -- no room to tuck in jeans -- but they'll be perfect with dresses, skirts and tights. Seemed to be about a half size long, and I do wish they were a few inches taller (I'm 5'4") - boots always seems to hit me at the widest part of my calf, instead of coming to the knee.

Because of my job I need a boot that looks fashionable, but still has a practical heel/tread for winter weather. These fit the bill nicely. Soft leather. The calf is adjustable. My only gripe with these boots is the sizing, which runs small. I had to order 3 pair before I got it right. The heel is so very contoured into the ankle that even though the size I ended up with (an 8.5, I usually wear a 7.5) fits properly once the boot is on, it needs a shoe horn and a VERY firm pull to get the boot over the heel. Still, these feel comfortable once they are on with a medium weight sock and they'll look great with skirts of all lengths. A good quality boot for the price.

I was so excited about these boots, but they are so narrow! I don't ever take a wide size, but these were so uncomfortable there was no way they were going to work out. They felt super stiff too, though that might have eased up after repeated wearing. I'm returning, and I don't think I'll order the wide size because I also don't like how the Timberland logo is repeated on both buckles. The good thing about these boots is that they seem super durable and seem to be made of high quality material. I'm still looking for the perfect boot!

Feels a full size larger in length and then a full size too narrow (and ordered them in Wide). Way too tight on my fairly athletic 15.5 calves. I did get them zipped up but they actually gave me a "muffin top" above the boot. Eek.

I really liked these boots out of the box, but they are not true lace ups. The tongue stops about halfway down the shaft of the boot, which means the width is not adjustable past that point. So even though I could have gotten the boots zipped at the top of the shaft, I couldn't get the zipper past the narrow point midway up. Very poor design! Make a true lace-up and people wouldn't have such a problem finding boots that fit!

I have slightly wide feet with a bit of a bunion problem, and I have recently come to terms with the fact that I need to limit myself to shoes that come in wide sizes if I don't want to be walking around in pain all day. So these shoes looked promising. I ordered them in a size 9W (my "true" size), and, well - these are awfully narrow for a "wide" cut. That stretch across the bunion zone is really no better than your typical medium-width shoe. And while I don't have terribly wide calves (about 15.5" in circumference), the fit around the calf is definitely snug. Not sure if I could fit anything but socks or stockings in there, and I'm looking for a pair of boots I can wear with pants. Other than that, they do seem like very comfortable shoes; they're just not the right fit for me.

These boots are not as large around the calf as stated. If you have athletic calves, these boots probably will be very tight on you, as they were on me. Too bad, as they're a good basic and casual boot and the waterproof aspect is nice. Also, they run narrow in the foot but are long, as everyone else has stated.

Returning - Not a dressy boot, more rugged-looking, but the leather is nice and soft. Sizing through the foot and ankle seems accurate, but calf is too tight. Could get it zipped up, but just barely, and not without a struggle.

Overall- I am very pleased from order to delivery! It was shipped sooner than I thought, which was a pleasant surprise! Unfortunately the jacket was too big for my son but fit my husband perfectly!

Super cute on and off my feet. Very sturdy and warm. Good for a night on the town or trails. Would not be ideal for ladies with larger-than-average calves. Look great with tights and a skirt.

Very nice boot. I like the look and feel of the leather and that the boot is waterproof. The look is quite casual. The fit was good for my narrow feet. I would keep if they were not too wide for my skinny calves.

Love these boots. Great everyday comfy boots. I normally can't wear boots all day as they hurt my feet. Timberland make the most comfortable boots ever. The chocolate color goes with everything. The fit was true to size and perfect. Highly recommend.

Agree with other reviewers that these run narrow and long - but I'm happy - for my feet this is ideal! I have a narrow foot but hate to order narrow sizes because the toe box never has enough wiggle room for me. Especially since my left foot is almost a half size different from my right. I ordered the medium 9 width based on the reviews and the size is perfect for me. Heel is snug enough (although the fact that these are tall boots rather than shoes probably also helps prevent the heel from slipping). The toe box is nice and roomy - no pinching whatsoever. I wear them with regular thickness crew socks. Boots are slightly heavy but not overly so. Sole is thick and substantial and has plenty of traction. I guess I have skinny calves compared to the other reviewers because I find them to be almost too wide on top - I wish they were a little slimmer. They're stylish - a bit on the casual side, but they still look good with skirts. Easy to throw on with the side zippers. An incredible deal at the sale price for a fun and very comfortable real leather boot!

These boots are just what I wanted! They are a comfortable fit, and the first day I wore them, I wore them all day with no hurting toes or feet! I was leary about ordering a full size larger than my size but am glad I did. Perfect fit with regular socks!

Just what I wanted in a very practical waterproof boot for weta nd snowy days. These run a wee bit narrow and a wee bit long. I would order in wide AND down a half size from your usual shoe size. I've no idea if that's typical for Timberland boots or if it was just this model? I usually wear an 8.5M and like my winter boots roomy for thick socks. I even own pairs in 9W and Euro size 40, but in this boot I need an 8W for a good fit with socks. Neat enough at ankle without obvious sagging and folding. Top buckle can adjust for small calves. Nice cushioned insole with moderate arch support.

I am very happy with the style and quality of these boots. They do fit a little snug in the calf, and I do not have big calves, but with skinny jeans they are still comfortable. They are very nice boots for a fair price.
