I love these boots. They fit nicely and were comfy right out of the box. I initially ordered an 8.5, based on all of the reviews saying that they ran small/narrow, but then ended up exchanging them for a size 8 (my true size). Zappos has the best customer service and sent me out the replacement size before I even returned the larger ones. Love Zappos and love these boots.

These are great boots! Timberland is really stepping up their game with these. I thought they might be a little too masculine for me when I ordered them, but they are perfect. Great leather, hardware, and craftsmanship. I ordered a 6½W after reading other reviews about the boot being narrow. 6½ is my normal shoe size, but I probably could have gone half a size down, and the boot is pretty narrow for a wide size. Boots are much lighter than I had expected and very comfortable. Hopefully they will hold up in rain or snow.

Great boots! Good quality and very comfortable. Suggest buying snug as they stretch out, just like all Timberland's do. Perfect fit in the calves as well.

I love this boot! Bought them to wear with jean-leggings mostly and they look great, but they fit close enough to the calf to wear with skirts too. I bought them right before a trip to London and walked long distances in them every day, in freezing cold weather. Sent back the 8 for the 7.5 and those were perfect.

These boots are amazing! I bought them last year and get complements on them almost every time they are on. They are a comfortable and fashionable option for braving the Minnesota weather. And because they are waterproof, I don't feel bad about exposing them to all sorts of weather. Love these boots!

Love these. I've had mine about six weeks, and began wearing them day 1. Felt a tad snug in the heel/around the ankle initially, but quickly relaxed. If I had it to do over again, I might have tried a 9.5 wide (I'm normally a 10 reg., which I got), because they are a bit long-looking in the toe, but the fit feels fine; I just might have bought both sizes to see if I could minimize the length, if that variation still felt good (I now suspect that would have worked for my foot shape). Also, I'm a very muscly size 12 (pant), and the boot's top circumference just barely fit my calf; not a lot of adjustment available if you have a very large calf.

Perfect everyday winter boot - great traction and they are waterproof - but with style. The boot accommodates orthotics. Tested them at home, then wore them for my 2 mile walking commute without a problem. It was about 25F and my feet were warm with thin Smartwool socks on (I have spent a lot of time walking with cold feet in the NY winter). I am normally a 9 medium and find this to be a good fit. Based on reviews, I also tried the 8.5 wide. The 8.5 wide was not too much different - it did look a little daintier. But, I think the smaller shoe shifts one's balancing point a bit forward on the toes - so I decided to keep my normal size. I decided to keep the brown color (looks like a riding boot) - the black is also nice but a bit more aggressive - police/biker style boot. I find I can wear them with pants tucked in or not - both are comfortable.

By far the most comfy boots I have ever had. Well made, tough, but looks cute with jeans or thick tights and a short skirt. I walked all over Japan in these, and have worn them every day on my motorcycle for 2 years, in all weather. Now they need resoling, or I may just get another pair. Thanks Timberland for re-issuing these for another season; I was getting worried as I couldn't find them last year.

I am a person who wants the highest quality, good looking and rugged at the same time. Those three things are hard to come by. So after much research, I picked these boots. And of course, Zappos' immediate gratification helps as well when making my final decision. I live in Jackson Hole, and although I would not use them for snow above ankle high, they have already been tested in snow and rain. So far they are 100 percent waterproof. I liked the way they looked on line and they looked exactly as shown when received. Initially, the boot felt tight around the ankle and difficult to pull on which I didn't like because I am usually running late and do not want to have to worry about my shoes. However, it felt fine around my calf which can be described as athletic. After deliberating on the next size up to accommodate the heel and socks, I decided against it and wore them to work all day for 10 hours. I was pleasantly surprised. The next time I put them on, they had stretched, but not too much. Now they fit perfectly. I love them and get a ton of compliments from everyone. They can easily go from riding horses to work with a nice pair of pants or skirt. It really fits the western lifestyle of someone who wants to be stylish, yet functional.

Comfortable right out of box, good arch support, good traction, had to return as calf width was smaller than listed in description. Gave it five stars - boot was great, just didn't fit my calf. As always, Zappos service was top notch!

Nice boots, but the footbed in the bunion area is very snug. It's more like a C width than a D width.

Love. I was getting a shoe (boot) shine today in Lima, Peru of all places and people stopped to compliment me on my boots. Comfy, practical and cute. Go for it.

I am very happy with my new purchase. At heart, they are durable and rugged boots with a simple and elegant design. Highly comfortable. My only critique is that I had to order half a size larger, as they were very tight, both in the shoe and calf.

Love these boots - I love these boots! So comfortable. I ordered a W and they are true to width. They definitely run big so may need to order a 1/2 size smaller if ordering a W width. But overall, they are beautiful boots and I get tons of compliments!

Love them - Great look, great sole. Fit length wise but maybe I should have gotten the wider fit--I’ve put a boot stretcher in for a bit and now they fit perfect. Jeans don't fit well into the boot but they still rock and look great with skirts.

Love them - I had already purchased the black ones last year and wore them numerous times dressed up or down. They still look very nice and they are very comfortable! I received many compliments wearing them. So this fall I decided to buy the dark brown ones as well and I am very happy I did. They are the same high quality leather and they are great in our Washington State rainy weather.

Great! They feel great! Wide enough for warmer socks when the snow comes and waterproof. Love the look.

Order a size smaller and wider - These shoes are very long and narrow. I had to order a full size smaller and wider. I am thrilled that they fit my athletic calves and have a very comfortable sturdy sole. They are a little stiff in the foot and I hope they break in a little as I wear them.

Not as rock n' roll as I thought! The boots look a lot more "biker babe" tough in photos. And the leather is a dull finish, almost like nubuck. And this is not meant for women with more athletic calves. It's still a lovely boot though a bit traditional for my taste.

Perfect boot - I was looking for a boot that was both stylish and practical and this fits the bill! I can walk all over town in them comfortably. The shoe is a little big both in the foot and in the calf when I don't have socks on, but I wanted the extra room so I can wear thick knee socks with them in the winter.

Amaazzzing! These boots are really great. I have giant feet and the 11W fit perfect. I had a little trouble getting them on the first time, but after that it was smooth sailing. I've worn them all day on shopping trips and not even a blister!

LOVE these boots - I love the look and fit of these boots and Timberland makes a high quality product so I know they will last. I wear anywhere from size 8 (heels) to size 9 (some athletic shoes) and these boots fell right within that range at a size 8.5. The support is pretty good, and I was also able to replace the insoles with my orthotics. My calf is 15" and I can comfortably wear these boots with tights or knee socks. I can't tuck pants in, but that's not my style anyway.

Love these boots. I got it a half size smaller. Other than that, they look great.
