The fit is on the narrow/long side. I had to exchange for a smaller size than what the size chart predicted. The same thing happened with my husband's pair. But I love the shoes for CrossFit.

I got these mainly for Crossfit and they are awesome! I've also ran a couple of 5ks and some rock climbing in them and they've worked great. I'll be ordering the red ones soon, also I can't say enough about Zappos, you guys rock!

This was one of the smartest shoe purchases that I have ever made. These are extremely lightweight and easy to slip on when you are ready to run. I do CrossFit and they help alot with jumping and even weightlifting! Do not think twice about it! Enter your credit card number!

I cannot rave enough about this shoe! My arthritic toes require a large toe box-- a situation that usually forces me to wear unattractive shoes. Not so in this case. This shoe is stylish, a great fit, and it can go the distance straight out of the box!

This is exactly what I wanted! A shoe that feels like you're not wearing a shoe. If you like your feet to feel free, get this brand. The color is great too.

I thought about writing a lengthy review, but it isn't even worth it. I bought these shoes primarily as a CrossFit shoe, but have ended up wearing them everywhere. These are by far the best, most comfortable shoes I have ever owned - period.

I got this shoe solely for workouts/Olympic-style weightlifting/sprint work, and it has done better than I imagined. It is the lightest-weight shoe I've ever worn; it almost feels as if it's not there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a minimalist shoe for weightlifting/high-intensity workouts. The only "complaints" I have are the styles can be a little too "colorful" and "out there" for my taste (although I enjoy the red/black) and when I first tried the shoe on, it felt a little snug, but after a couple of wears/workouts, it molded to my feet.

Very lightweight and breathable shoe. Soles grip extremely well. Great shoe for crossfit. Definitely minimalist, running will take some getting used to when switching from a regular athletic shoe, mostly in your ankles and soles of feet.

These are great gym shoes. Elevation of the heel on running shoes was hurting my calves on lift. These shoes provide stability and low profile.

My husband bought me these as a gift. We are both Crossfitters and this shoe is highly recommended for the sport. He already owns a pair. Well, I love them! They are light, flexible, versatile, and roomy around my footbed area. So far, my feet haven't hurt from working out in them.

Finally! I must have ordered 10 pairs of shoes from Zappos over the past month and returned every pair. I've been looking for a minimalist...a shoe that I can use for Crossfit, but also a shoe that had enough comfort to be worn regularly day-to-day. I tried NB's, Nikes, Vivobarefoot's, but every shoe that arrived was either too minimal or just odd looking. Today the inov-8's arrived and I couldn't be happier with these shoes. I ordered another pair months back 195's, but the weren't cutting it. These look good, have great support, are stylish and will work perfectly for crossfit / lifting. They're flat, but have enough padding to comfort the foot. Great shoe...highly recommended. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and they fit perfectly.

Dislikes...there is no arch support, pretty much a flat shoe. I added Doc Scholls insoles. Likes...super light weight, very flexible, the toe texture keeps your toes dry when running on moist terrain. Overall...good working/looking running shoes. I wear a 9.5 ordered a 10. The price is just right...I recommend this shoe.

Great shoes. Light and flexible. You can feel the surface your running on. Well built. A strong chemical smell when you get them new, fades away in week.

Highly recommend Inov8 230's. This is my second pair. They fit and feel like a glove. Perfect shoe for Crossfit.

Wow! The reviews were right! These sneaks are amazing! Feel great on my feet, look stylish and are very lightweight. This is a must buy. Well, worth the price. For me it was perfect for the front section of my food but, the arch/heel area was a bit narrow. I'm going to return for next half size up. If you have narrow feet, it's a great shoe for you.

Love them! Switched from Vibrams to these. Not thick soles but a little bit of needed support!

On reading other reviews stating that the narrow feeling subsided with natural stretching after a couple weeks I was hesitant but gave them a try anyway. Yes, they're a tiny bit snug on the sides (I'm always Medium/D) but otherwise a perfect fit, and I think the fit on the sides will come in handy in boot-camp when doing 'suicides' and the like. Really looking forward to my first WOD in them on Monday.

These are great shoes and my fair pair from Inov. I think they are among the best that I ever had. I was looking for shoes that only had a only mesh upper as I did not want anything to bother my feet and for them to feel free as possible. I am 6'5", 220 pounds and running mostly trails. These shoes got a lot of reviews, and that is an important aspect, at least for me, when I have decided for these one. I have also tried also the Inov -195. They have the same nice fit and comfort, but as for my constitution I have opted for 230 having a slightly thicker sole than the 195 so they are more comfortable for the long run. I also tried Brooks Launch which are also great shoes with upper mesh only, but I wanted something lighter and also Brooks seemed to me to much comfortable. My feet were kind of sinking in, they were too puffy for me. If you want to get rid of the old ordinary thick comfortable sole running shoes you may want to try something from Inov which for the same comfort gives much lighter very well fitting shoes. For sure I will look into Inov's first next time when searching to buy a new pair.

My husband loves these. They are very lightweight shoes - great for the gym (although, if you're looking for a running shoe, this isn't the one, nor is it meant to be, as it's not supportive enough). He loves that they are lightweight and easy to pack in his gym back, as well as very comfortable and breathable. Fits true to his size.

I just ordered these for my daughter and son-in-law. Ordered at 8:00 p.m. and she called at 10:00 the next morning to say they were there already and that they love the shoes. They do boot camp 3 times a week and she says they are a perfect shoe for that. Everyone in the class wants them now! Zappos never lets us down. Thanks for the awesome shipping!

Seems like a good shoe, but I was unable to find one that fit me correctly. My normal size when ordered in this shoe ended up being too big. I ordered a half size smaller and there was an area that rubbed the rear part of the arch of my foot. This ended up making it too uncomfortable to keep the shoe. Not sure where to go from here. I really wanted these to work, because I know many people that love this shoe.

Well, I've had the 230s for several days now, and I have to say that I am really impressed. They are definitely very light shoes, almost like slippers. I have done some jogging in them and worn them during some Insanity cross-training (and a day at the local Six Flags), and they do a great job of providing foot protection while still giving a barefoot feel. My feet are slightly wider than normal (many shoes are too narrow for me, but I can usually find good fitting shoes in a regular D width), and these fit perfectly, with plenty of room in the toe box. I wear a size 10 in Adidas and Nike, and these (size 10) fit very nicely. There is perhaps a little extra length, but nothing that bothers me. The uppers are light mesh fabric, so you will not want to wear these when it is wet or cold, but I am looking forward to reffing in these when the weather warms up.

I CrossFit train 5-6 days per week in these inov-8 F-Lite 230's and they are an awesome shoe that transitions well in mixed WODs that contain heavy lifting, running, climbing, and/or metcon work. I am a solid size 9 shoe and these fit true to size. Very comfortable and natural fit with no break in period. I forget I'm wearing them sometimes. They are not a minimalist shoe but close to it...like the best of both worlds. I sometimes have plantar fascia symptoms in my left foot and have not had a single problem...if anything it is improving. Inov-8 designs shoes with the CrossFitter in mind. Great shoe and highly recommend!
