This is a great minimalist shoe. There is a little more padding than some other minimalist, which makes it a good transition shoe, if you are used to the highly padded heel shoes. It has plenty of toe room, and it is super flexible. I have ran about 30 miles in them so far and there has been no 'break-in' period, blisters, or uncomfortable rubbing. I am a female with rather large feet, so I usually wear man's running shoes. If you are a female with narrow feet these are a bit wide, but when tied tightly, they are just fine.

Awesome! I couldn't be happier with these shoes. I got them as a beginner CrossFitter due to issues with plantar fasciitis. I've dealt with this problem in both of my feet for years. These shoes are by far my favorite and give me the adequate support with the barely there, barefoot feeling shoe. I also have normal to narrow feet and these shoes fit like a glove. Highly recommend.

In case you haven't realized the kind of beating your shoes can take let me start off by saying I work in the automotive industry. While I stand the majority of the day in a office setting I do have to walk through our shop numerous times on a daily basis which is usually saturated in oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid along with other dirt and grime. Being in my work environment alone I usually go through about a pair of shoes every 5 months or less, however with my Inov-8 F-lite 230's I have wore them for a solid year and never slipped once as well as no signs of the bottoms giving out or the glue/stitching breaking(very surprised being a minimalist shoe to say the least). Not only do I wear them to work I also do about 3 WOD's a day and run between 10-12 miles a week and usually bike about 40 miles a week in the same shoes with out any problem they are still just as comfortable and intact as the day I put them on I hate wearing any of my other shoes so bad I actually wore the F-lite 230's in the snow this year because I could not stand it. Which it was very very cold but worth the discomfort of wearing anything else that felt heavy and made my feet hurt. I still wear the same all black F-lite 230's in business meetings and suit and tie occasions people can laugh if they want but at the end of the day my feet won't hurt and I can go right to the gym.

I bought these shoes specifically for crossfit workouts. I've had a few different brands I've tried and I had a friend tell me to try these. These are the absolute best shoes I've found for crossfit. I love them. They are comfortable enough for cardio and short runs, but still flat enough to be very comfortable/stable for the weightlifting activities. I would highly recommend these for crossfit or weightlifting. I wouldn't recommend them for longer runs as there isn't enough support.

Awesome awesome shoe. I wear them to work and walk a lot and they are beyond comfortable. Definitely not a winter shoe but I wear them anyway with Smartwool ski socks. I took them out for a run in the snow the other night on the road. I look forward to some trail runs and hiking. Now if Innov8 made a 2nd pair strictly for winter weather that would be amazing. These shoes don't hold smelly feet or socks at all and they still smell the same since Nov 12'.

These shoes are really lightweight. I do a lot of cross fit type exercise, plus kick boxing, heavy weight lifting, HIIT, etc. You name it. Other shoes I've worn cause my feet to cramp. I forget about my feet during a workout now. They felt a little narrow when I first put them on, but they feel perfect. I could feel a difference after the first 1 mile walk.

I ordered several pairs of "minimal" sneakers for cross-training use (these, plus a pair of New Balance and a pair of Merrells) and thought these were the winners. The others seemed to run a little small, but these were very comfortable right out of the box. Very light and airy - I imagine they will be even better in warmer weather given the breathability. Nice traction - good for indoors or out. Not too flashy (most of my workout clothes are black so it makes sense to buy a black sneaker), but nice to look at, too! Plus I was looking in the under-$100 range, and these are reasonable, price-wise.

I was in the market for a minimal shoe and got these based on the number of great reviews. I am glad I did. I am still breaking them in but overall these have been great for my daily workout. I have also received a lot of nice comments on them at the club.

This was my first pair of Inov-8's and it won't be my last. The shoe is very comfortable once and form fitting. Great Crossfit shoe. Haven't done much Oly lifting in them but no problems doing anything else.

My sister bought these and loved them so I decided to get here another pair! Mine and hers have to order size smaller and they are narrow but stretch after a little, makes it comfortable. Also enjoy Zappos prices and service.

Amazing shoes. I work out 4-6 days a week and these shoes have been put through a ton and they still look great! The real selling point to me was the complete lack of smell from the shoes, unlike old Nikes or normal shoes these inov-8's haven't developed any smell, and like I said I use them a lot. As always Zappos was amazing in getting them to me the day after ordering. Keep it up!

Okay, so I ordered these because they appeared dashing in the photo. Apparently they are super narrow which is okay if you have normal feet. However, I do not have a normal feet. I have a pair of size 14 beasts. Personally, having such big feet is an 8" plus but this translates over to some warped looking shoes. Shoes in the normal size range look as intended in the design. These shoes straight up remind me of medieval knight plate armor boots. The shape is that of torpedo, giving the toe a very narrow appearance. Whatever, they still look awesome and I plan on keeping them. They are very true to size.

These are absolutely my favorite pair of shoes that I have ever owned! I am on my second pair of the Inov-8 f-lite 230s now and I could not be more satisfied. They do run a little narrow, but I have narrow feet so this is actually one of the reasons I love these shoes so much. They are perfect for people who do CrossFit and even better for running if you have good, correct pose form. I ran my personal record marathon (by 21 minutes) with these shoes last December (Dallas Marathon 2011) in the rain and 40 degrees without even the slightest hint of a blister. For the CrossFitters, be careful while climbing ropes as the rope will tear up the side of the shoe. I just wrap mine in athletic tape for climbs and it works like a charm. They are also really great for trail runs and mud runs (I did the Texas Spartan beast this month). I cannot say enough great things about these shoes and I will be buying them for as long as they are making them! I like the way these shoes (Inov-8 f-lite 230) fit much better than the f-lite 195s. I tried a pair of the 195s and they run quite a bit bigger than the 230s. A size 8.0 (US) was easily half a size too big for me and I wear that same size for the 230s.

I love these shoes! They fit great and never show wear. They form to your foot and since wearing them, my back problems have gone away. I run and crossfit in them, and could not ask for a better shoe!

I use these mainly for outdoor Ultimate Frisbee and they are perfect! I don't like wearing cleats but these give me enough grip and flexibility to keep up with my cleat-wearing opponents! It is a little long in the toe though.

I have a narrow foot and these shoes are narrow so this was a perfect match. They are light and stable when moving through all the movements during a W.O.D. they look great and they have been pretty durable. So overall I am very pleased with every aspect of this purchase.

Great shoes for Crossfit! I also use them for running if it's under a 5k. Great fit, the most comfortable shoes I own!

I love this shoe unfortunately I found out that I have planter fasciitis right after I bought it and I need to wear a shoe with a stiffer sole until it is healed. This shoe is flexible so I will keep it for when my feet are feeling better. This shoe has a streamlined design but still allows plenty of room in the toe box. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments.

These were GREAT shoes! It's the first pairs of shoes that has held up with my active movement. I were size 14 shoes and I do IT Helpdesk. I do a lot of running around. Constantly crawling in tight places to fix stuff, going from one end of the building to the other, etc. My shoes usually last less than a year (about 8 months). These shoes with a year and a month before they started to wear away. Now, after a year and 3 months, they've finally warn away so much that the front you can see the fabric coming off/away from the front toe patch (Which is kind of a weird fabric for the toe by the way. It's kind of a flexible rough rubber.). When i first got them, they were super comfy and had a lot of padding. Now, I have no padding after a year =P Anways, great shoe. Get something about a half a size smaller, like others have said. And if you are walking nonstop for your job everyday, they could last a lot longer than mine. =)

I love these shoes! They are so comfortable! I really wish that they would make them in brown as well. I am telling everyone about how great these shoes are!

I was looking for a new running shoe but decided to buy these for my crossfit workouts instead based on reviews. Many reviewers insisted that the shoe runs large so I sized down a half size. Shouldn't have listened and had to return the Uk 5 (7.5 US) for the Uk 5.5 (8 US) which fits perfectly and is my usual size. Love how Zappos ships out the new size before receiving your return to speed things up! The shoe hugs your foot comfortably which could be problematic for wide feet. I'm very happy with the shoe for workouts, but I'm not sure I could use this model for trail running which the company specializes in. They are fine for circuit training workouts with some minimal running mixed in if you are used to more cushioning for longer distance running.

Love the shoe. It is very light-weight and extremely comfortable with slightly padded socks. I have bunions, and the shoe does not rub at all. The only reason for 4 stars in comfort is that I need a little more padding on the bottom of my feet due to calluses.

Shoes run big. I ordered the gray/black ones first and decided that I liked the black/white ones better. I really like the look of them.

My husband bought a pair of these and I just thought they were such a great looking pair of shoes, so I bought myself a pair as well. They are amazing! We both workout in these shoes and are awesome! My husband has since bought a few more pairs. I can't wait till they make a pair of brown shoes (hint, hint)!

Enjoying these shoes. Great for weight training and interval runs. Feet go numb on longer runs (1 to 4 miles). Hoping this will get better as I wear them more. Love the style. Ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal shoes, full size smaller than other running shoes.
