Nice boot--one of those "so weird it's really cute" shoes. I wear an 11, and am here to say that it definitely runs small. Because the toebox is nice and roomy I decided I could live with it--and I can--but it works much better if I wear a thinner pair of socks. Warm enough for moderately cold weather. Heel slips, too; typical for boots, but if that really bothers you, beware. Has a zipper, but I don't use it; they are easy to slip on and off, which I prefer.

This boot seemed sturdy and waterproof but was heavier than I thought. The top gaps at the ankle. I returned this boot for a more lightweight pair. Returning was super easy with Zappos-Thanks!

The Betty boot is a solid, warm, wicking waterproof boot that isn’t too heavy. Sizing is a bit on the large side, may want to go down a half size or plan extra thick socks. Fit is sporty - sneaker like when walking. Good traction and plenty of calf room.

While not exactly stylish, these boots are warm, durable, comfortable, and supportive. I usually wear a 7.5, but got an 8 and found that sizing up was best so I could wear a heavy pair of socks.

I needed a pair of solid winter boots that were going to keep me warm and safe, but I wasn\'t on the market for something serious like Baffins or something fashionable but less practical like Uggs. I bought an ice blue coat from North Face last year and and Slate Black/Grayed Jade boot ended up being a decent match. First, there\'s nothing black about this boot. It\'s more of a brown. There\'s also nothing gray about the jade. It\'s more like a light sea foam colour. Nonetheless, the colour combination is quite pleasing. I\'m normally between 6 to 6.5 in Keens and bought these in a 6.5 and they fit perfectly, so I think I would err on the larger size. I\'m moderately concerned that they slip off my heel a little bit when I walk but I don\'t think it\'s so severe that a thick pair of socks can\'t fix it. They make my feet look big, of course, but overall, I think they\'re quite cute for what they are....clunky winter boots.

Great boot; "heel lift" issues though. Keen is an excellent brand, but this style seems to just barely miss its mark unfortunately. These are so very comfortable, with or without socks, and they are quite warm. However, having tried several sizes, what did not change or improve was the "heel slide or lift", and I do not have a narrow foot or narrow heel. If anything my foot is pretty average aside from from just being so honkin' big. But as I walked, my foot moved easily upward, not good. Anyway, I recommend the boot for those with wide heels, I just forewarn that these would not be good for walking more than short distances and definitely not for any rough winter terrain lest you pull your foot right out!

Very happy with this boot!
The only reason I didn't rate this boot a 5 is because I wish there had been different color options. I had previously ordered a Columbia Bugazip, which I liked the look of much better, but I couldn't even get my foot in it. I decided to try the Keen and and it went on easily and was comfortable once I had it on.

These boots are very comfortable with thick socks, but they are not quite as warm as I thought they would be. My toes felt quite cold. Also, the zippers are very stiff and sometimes really have to be worked to pull them up or down. Overall, though, I really like them and am keeping them.

I get lots of compliments on these!
Love the look but I should have ordered a 1/2 size up. I still wear them but with very thin socks. They also tend to be a little stiff and require some effort or a shoe horn to get them on. This is tough when trying to leave the house with a toddler in your arms. My feet have cramped up while driving in these shoes, not sure if that means they are a tad narrow?? I would have returned for a larger size them but I wore them out. :-(

I loved the look of these boots, but they fit very tight across top of my foot. I tried the next size larger, but my heel slipped around too much. I have other Keen's and I really wanted them to work out but I'm sending them back.

I really wanted to love this boot. The height is perfect for what I was looking for. However, my toes were hitting the front of the boot while my foot kept slipping in the heel. I think a larger size would work...until I needed to walk in them! I'll have to return them - thankfully Zappos make it all so easy!

I loved the look of these boots but the sizing was definitely a problem. I ordered a half-size up from my usual size, but they were still short and the toe box was too narrow. I have a bunion on one foot and love Keens usually because there is a lot of width in the forefoot area of their shoes usually. Not so in this one. Even a full size up would have been too narrow. Also when I walked in them the front of the boot top hit my shin, I could see that would be a problem over time. Tops were much stiffer than I imagined from looking at them.

I ordered 4-5 pairs of snow boots and these were a pair I sent back. They felt 1/2 small. The boots have a zipper on the side but there is not any overlap behind the zipper to protect your foot . I felt like you would get a cold or wet spot right where the zipper is.

I wish I would have listened to other reviewers who complained about their heel slipping, just wearing this boot around my house my socks slipped down around my ankles and bunched up at my foot. I wear a 7 and ordered a 7 1/2 and they still felt tight. I am sending them back.

The boot felt really comfortable to my foot. I decided not to keep them though b/c the woven fabric part of the zipper had really sharp corners at the top and they dug into my legs on both sides.

Very cute style for slip-on snow boots and they are very rugged as most Keen products are. I have wide feet so I appreciated the wide toe box, but like so many Keen shoes or boots, they slip in the heel when you walk. This will cause blisters and gives you very little ankle support in snow and ice when you need it. I was disappointed in these.

I was really looking forward to receiving these boots. I have Keen hiking boots and love them; I have worn the hiking boots during days of outdoor activities in rough conditions and they have held up very well, although they no longer look very pretty. I ordered the same size I use for hiking (which accommodates thicker socks) and expected a similar fit. Unfortunately, the toebox felt too tight (which is surprising for Keen), while the heel area slipped while walking. I even tried just wearing them while at home to see if they would feel better with time; instead, my foot felt more uncomfortable and I removed them for relief. I doubt that trying a larger size will help, considering the looseness in the heel. Sadly, I am sending these back and returning to the drawing board.

Very comfortable, good fit (I have wide feet and love the fit of Keens), but not waterproof, even in snow. Traction is good in snow, but negligible on ice. Warm until the damp leaks in. Back to Sorels for me!

I'm not a fan! These boots are warm, which is good, but maybe they don't breathe or something, because my feet start sweating and then my feet get cold! Such a bummer. They're pretty cute, but just don't function right.

Loved the look of these, but unfortunately had to return them. Keens are hit and miss in terms of sizing. This one was a big miss. I normally wear a 7.5 and, as is often the case with Keens, ordered a half size up because they tend to run small. That didn't do the trick because the front end of the shoe was so tight that after just trying them on, I had reddened and aching toes! The back end was totally loose, with my foot coming up out of the footbed. In sum, a cute shoe but with an awful fit.

I am on my second pair of Keen Betty Boots. Pros: warm in below 0 temperatures, stylish with bootcut pants, sturdy, lightweight, easy on with pulls on the shaft and easy off with bootkick on heels, comfy even without socks, clean easily. Cons: wish the shaft was a few inches taller, limited Colorado choices, need to order a full size larger than your dress shoe size to fit winter socks.

Review based on just 1 months use: Waterproofing - I've hiked in it several times, walked across rivers with the foot part almost all submerged with no problems feet and socks stayed dry. Warmth - coldest hike so far 22 F on snow/ice with smart wool socks my feet were fine (I suffer from chilblains so this was a primary reason for getting better boots). Comfort - when first on it felt great, like a second skin, after wearing them a bit I'd say there have been minor issues, slightly rigid going up/down stairs, a tad tight on upper part of foot but nothing major. This boot stays on with no heel slippage. Easy on/off i could almost (but not quite) pull them on/off without unzipping. Style - looks great under or over pants. Slightly bulky uppers so use boot cut pants. How I use them: I don't wear these every day, mostly for hiking or on specially cold or snowy days. I have a pair of warmer boots i plan for colder days (ie 0F)

Very comfortable, rain-proof boot. They are pretty good-looking for rugged/outdoorsy shoes, but may not work with a "regular" outfit. I am normally a true size 8 (with slightly wide feet) and ordered a half size up. At a half size up, they fit great with thick socks and are slightly loose (but still comfy) with thin socks.
