This is a very pretty sandal that was easy to wear on day one. It easily dresses up or down for different occasions and is very comfortable. The sole molds to the foot and supports the arch without slipping or sliding. The oiled leather is very classy looking. Couldn’t be more pleased.

I used to have a size 38 (i'm typically at 7.5-8) but this time i ordered a size 37 (6-6.5) and they fit really nicely. Also...the tobacco color is very dark...I thought it would be a light brown, but it was a dark brown. kind of a bummer.

I have gotten size 39 in the past and that worked for these sandals as well. THE most comfortable sandals ever. I have high arches/instep and they keep my feet healthy with their support

I don't usually like thong sandals, but there were so gorgeous I gave it a try; so glad I did! Great to walk in and easy to dress up or down. Very useful and versatile.

These sandals are comfortable right out of the box. I have been wearing a pair of Gizehs for the last ten years and buy another pair every two years. Love them!

I ordered a 40 in this style, and I usually wear a 9M (sometimes a 9N) and for reference I've worn a 40 in Dansko sandals and a 9 in Clarks and Ugg sandals. I know Birkenstocks have known to run large and wide - in my opinion this style is not as wide or large as some of the older styles they make. This style takes a bit of time to get used to the arch support (I have fairly low arches) and I would recommend wearing for short periods of time to help mold the shoe to your foot. One adjustment I would recommend is tightening the ankle strap as you're fitting the shoe as that may keep your foot more secure in the footbed while breaking it in. This style is perfect for the casual/business casual person - the tobacco color matches many items and IMO is more versatile than a more conventional choice like black or dark brown. The only niggling thing about this shoe is my toes are long and occasionally touch the end of the footbed.

Third pair! Gizeh is so comfy and can be dressed up. I’m excited for the tobacco oiled leather and how it’s going to look with the petina.

Definitely runs big! I usually wear a size 7 (38) and they were too large so I returned and got the 37s and they fit great.

Well I've always wanted a pair of Birks. These are true to size, width was good, excellent arch support. However, it was like strapping a board to my foot. I also have one foot a bit larger than the other and the strap would not completely go across my instep. I am disappointed and returning, but am ever vigilant and waiting to try a pair of the Rios if Zappos ever gets my size back in stock. I understand the break in process but that was not going to happen with these.

I ordered this style and the Mayari. I am returning these and keeping the Mayari only because I have long, slender feet and this style makes my feet look even longer while the Mayari is more flattering to my foot.

This is my fifth pair of gizehs - I live in them in the summer! The tobacco color is a great neutral.

This year I decided to get a durable sandal rather than burning through cheap flip-flops. I was looking for a classic sandal a little bit more sophisticated than the Arizona, and this was definitely the right pick. The fit on these was perfect, but it's definitely good to know your European shoe size (it was a smaller size than what I would have converted to). Very comfortable right out of the box, which was great because I was expecting more of a difficult break-in for the original sole. Hoping to have these as my go-to sandals for a long time to come!

I love these shoes. I've read that they take time to "break in" so I'm wearing them around the house for a full month before I go on my first summer vacation with them. I typically wear a size 8.5 to 9, and the 38s fit me perfectly on the last hole setting on the side strap. I feel like these shoes will last a long time & now I just need to go get a cute pedicure to make the look complete! Buy these shoes...they are worth every penny!

I wear a women's size 6 and I took a 35 in these. Definitely size down!

Finally found the perfect Gizeh. After trying and returning several different colors/materials I almost gave up. I should have just started with the leather. There was little break in needed. I just wore them around the house for a week. Just wore them all day for 3 days with no pain.

I wear a size 7 women’s shoe. I definitely needed a 36 in Birkenstock’s though. Their description says that 36=a womens 5-5.5 and I disagree with that

I have tons of these in different colors. I can walk in them all day and they prevent plantar fasciitis for me. They are the only cute Birkenstocks.

I have plantar fasciitis and ordered these based on reviews. Right out of the box I loved them! Heel pain was instantly less and there was virtually zero break in time. They run true to size or just a tad small. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 40. I thought I might need a size up but I’m glad I stayed with originals. I’m ordering in another color or two for sure!

In the past I ordered from another place a gizeh birkenstock. I normally wear 6 1/2 in sandals and 7 in boots and sneaks. So I had gotten a 37, they felt great and seemed to fit fine, but I always thought they looked clunky. So, was at local store, tried on a gizeh in the plastic birkenstock, that I love, ended up in the 36, 5-5.5 size and they were so much better! So I ordered this gizeh in the 36, and sooo cute, I love them! Thought that may help some people with sizing, or make it worse to decide, LOL!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock’s. I read the reviews and ordered a size down. I’m a 6.5 normally or a 37. I was unsure about ordering a 36 but they were perfect. Still breaking them in since I’ve worn them twice but still comfortable enough to wear all day the first day. Already shopping for more!

These are my first Birkenstocks. I’ve been wearing them inside for two weeks. The toe thing takes some getting used to but i am getting used to it. The fit and width work, I got a size 39 which is what I normally get in European size. These are really cute and I expect them to get more comfortable the I wear them.
