I am a big fan of these Birkenstocks. I wear them all the time and get new ones at least every other year. I am not sure the conversions from the EU sizing is accurate. I am pretty solidly an 8 in US sizing, but go with a 38 in these shoes. Maybe due to the fact that they are a sandal with no socks to get in the way....

I usually wear a 9 1/2 (9 in sandals) ; so I ordered size 40. But they were too long. So, I am sending them back for a size 39.

My first pair of Birks! The regular width is just wide enough for this girl’s feet which was such a relief. Length wise, I would have been fine with the 38, but ended up needing the width of the 39. After a week of gradually breaking them on, they are much more comfortable than they were on day 1. I look forward to them getting more and more comfortable. I’m already eyeing my next pair!

LOVE!!! I've had my eye on these Birkenstocks for a while, and I finally pulled the trigger. I'm so happy I did! I think the extra $25 is worth it for the genuine leather - it is so soft and comfortable. The first day I wore them I did develop some slight irritation on my toe where the toe piece was rubbing against my foot. After a quick google search, I release I needed to strap them on tighter and that fixed the issue! Now they are perfect and so comfortable. If you are on the fence, buy 'em - you won't regret it!

I was in need of a comfortable sandal/flip flop that had arch support and didn't flop when walking. The Birkenstock Gizeh perfectly fit the bill. I am very pleased with these shoes.

I love them! They’ll take time to break in and the leather wasn’t quite as distressed/ variation in the leather as the picture. It’s more solid brown- but that could vary with each pair.

AMAZING SHOES! I wanted the perfect slip on sandal that is comfortable but also stylin, and Birks GOT ME. Absolutely worth the investment. Go for it!

Very stylish and comfortable

I bought these for my Mom and she loves them. She has a wider foot but with the adjustable strap they’re perfect and so cute on. Birk’s are the s**t.

This Birkenstock sandal has a particularly classy look as the straps are of oiled leather. I wear them with all outfits and I never tire of them. If you are new to Birkenstock shoes you should know that they need a few days to feel comfortable as the cork and the lining will naturally adjust to your feet. (And don't let anyone else wear them, as tempting as it might be for the other person.)

These were a gift for my daughter's birthday. She had only ever purchased the Birkenstock look a likes and I wanted her to experience the real thing. She loved the style and after a couple of days commented on how amazingly comfortable they were. I've had several pairs of Birkenstock's over the years and recommend them to everyone. They are worth every penny.

These were my first pair of Birks. I actually thought they would be more comfortable. The footbed is a little hard for my liking...I also have the Arizona style with soft footbed and it is much better. I love the style of the Gizeh as it is more slimming and not as chunky as the Arizona. I still wear them all the time although I will admit they are not the most comfortable shoes I own.

Well, they're Birks so they are great. Wore all summer, and it's like they've molded to my feet perfectly.

Black Oiled Leather Gizeh is my favorite go to sandal for the summer. The leather softens up as you wear it.

Just received the Gizeh sandals today and have been wearing them around my house. I normally wear a 9.5 in most things, but ordered the 39 in this size and they are a PERFECT fit. The arch is exactly where it should be and my feet fit exactly in the cup footbed. I tightened the strap to the last notch because my feet are a bit narrow and I want them to fit correctly and not like a thong. There will be no "breaking in" period with these sandals, and if there is, you have the incorrect size. Totally comfortable and stylish. Love them!

No break in period. Does not hurt my toes like other flip flops. Very comfortable. My go to sandals.

I am a first time Birkenstock purchaser and I am really enjoying these shoes. I am a teacher and on concrete all day and I know it is summer but I can tell there is so much support for my feet I actually feel my posture is better. My teachers at my school wear these so I thought I would give it a try. So far they are terrific!

Perfect fit. Comfortable out of the box. Except for the winter when it snows or is too cold for open shoes I have my Birks on nearly every day. My feet are happy and feel great in them. While they are not what I would consider attractive I will trade comfort and healthy feet over looks any day.

I'm usually a size 38 in Birkenstocks, but when I received them they were too big. So I settled for a 37, and they fit great. These are my favorite summer sandals. I wear them camping, to the beach, and even to the pool. love them!

Once you know your true Birkenstock / Gizeh size you won't go wrong. I love this color in particular (I ordered 3 new colors this season) for casual every day. The distressed leather look is really nice.
