I decided to keep the onyx color instead of this one. While it is navy, it looks more black from a distance. Great sandal!

Birks are a must have in your closet. They are so comfy.

They were perfect! My feet tend to run on the narrow side & they were great. Might be right for a wider foot. But I love them!!

I love these. I have worn the Madrid style for years , but it never came in navy. In Madrid , I wear a 38 Narrow. This only comes in regular width. I got the 38 and it is fine. I read reviews and tips. Customers said to make sure that the top strap is snug. I did that and had no rubbing or awareness of anything between my big toe and the rest of my toes! I was able to wear them for hours with no discomfort from day one. If you are debating like I was, give them a try.

I usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and ordered a 40. Will exchange for a 39.

this is my second pair of black 4th total pair. I wear them all day everyday which is a problem because the cork doesn’t last I have to buy one a year. I bought black & brown but I end up not switching them every few days and wearing out one pair.

Love these sandals, I have wanted them for so long.

This is my third pair. I probably don’t need to say more. I wear Birks every day and I love them. They fit well and last a very long time. I think they look great, not everyone does. They make my feet happy.

I've had 6 (maybe 7?) pairs of Gizeh's -- and I'll absolutely be back for more. As one with years of plantar fasciitis (if you've had it, you know how painful it is) history, Birks are life giving. Cork was used for the orthotics I used to wear and that's where I learned that it molds to the shape of your foot to give you the support you need where YOU need it. I've not needed orthotics in years since finding Birkenstocks. But Plantar fasciitis or not, everyone should have a few pairs of Birks in their shoe stash. Keep up the great work!

This is my first pair of Birks, and I couldn’t be any happier. I’ve stood in these all day and my feet, knees and back don’t hurt at all.

I have these in a few colors. The first pair I purchased in 2007 and they’re still perfect. They are so comfortable and fun! I love this dark blue color.

Love these but I think the size conversion is wrong. I am an 8.5 and the 38 fits perfectly.

I love my Birkenstock sandals:)! I usually wear a size 8 or 8.5 in other shoe brands, but I have learned to size down when ordering Birkenstocks.

I loved the look and fit of these sandals, but the navy was so dark and I have several pairs of black Birks so I decided to return these and reorder in tobacco. Can’t go wrong with Birkenstock!

This is my first pair of Birkenstock in over 20 years. I had a couple pairs as a teen but never thought they were comfortable so didn’t wear them. But, I’ve been loving the Gizeh style on others for several years and needed a go-to flip flop style so decided to try again. I researched and learned about the break in period and importance of proper fit for this brand so I am determined to get these broken in properly, something I definitely never did when I had them before. I chose the leather uppers over the other materials offered as I like real leather shoes and don’t mind the imperfections in leather. I am a size 7 1\2 with a wider foot so ordered the 38. As others have noted, they were too long to fit properly so I went down to the 37 and the length is perfect. There is not supposed to be extra room at the back of the sandal, nor too much past your toes. The width is a bit snug on me, but I have that trouble with sandals often. The straps adjust to fit my width and the sides of the sole were not hurting me and seem to be adjusting to my feet better each day. I have not had any discomfort with the toe piece, just in the firm sole/arches of the shoes, but 4 days in of wearing on and off at my house for 2-3 hours at a time and they are already far more comfortable than day 1. Another note: both shoes I tried were the Habana color. The first pair was dark brown and a smooth, oiled leather as described. The smaller pair is a mocha brown, several shades lighter than the first pair and has more of a nubuck leather feel. Both are pretty and I actually prefer the second pair, it was just a surprise at how different the leather color and texture was when both were marked habana. They do not look like the same shoe color at all. If the break in period goes well, I see more colors in my future.

I am so happy I purchased these Birkenstock sandals. As others reviers noted, the plastic toe posts are a little uncomfortable at 1st but I am already getting used to them. The support is just awesome. I did buy the shoe care kit to keep my Birks in good shape. Treated them before wearing. I will definitely buy another pair or two of Birks in the future!

These are my 1st Birks. I already love them. I know it may take a bit to get used to the plastic toe piece, however I'm not worried since I wear thong sandals anyway. I ordered my usual size, which with the Birkenstock recommendations. Also ordered the shoe care kit to protect the cork and leather. Very happy with my purchase!
