I bought these because I was looking for a solid black shoe and wear a 12w which is hard to find for woman. I usually buy New Balance but once I put these on I was sold for life. I will only buy Brooks from now on.

The Brooks Addiction Walker is not only a great walking shoe, but also a great wear-all-the-time shoe. It's comfortable, has excellent arch support and just fits and feels right. I used to get backaches when I took walks wearing another brand. But with the Brooks Addiction, I have no pain in my feet, legs or back. I can be on my feet (if I have to) much longer than with any other shoe. Although they're a little more than I would like to spend on walking shoes, the comfort more than pays for itself. Try them. You'll never wear another brand of walking shoe.

I was able to wear these shoes immediately without any discomfort. I have to wear a special orthotic insert in my shoes and the Brooks Addiction Walker fit me to a T. These shoes cost quite a bit less than identical ones that I purchased last year. I purchased another different pair of shoes that did not fit well and I had no problem sending the shoes back with out charges and received credit on my Visa card rather quickly. My husband bought the same shoes and is very happy also. We will continue to shop at Zappos.

I have bought several Brooks Addiction Walkers. They are very comfortable for long days on your feet. I buy 1/2 size larger in order to insert a custom made orthotic. They were recommended by a pedorthist and I have not bought another brand of tennis shoes since.

I am 100% satisfied with this shoe. Bought for work in a hospital kitchen, it provides the comfort and stability that I need.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever worn, right out of the box. Ordering another pair and one in tan too.

I have high arches and wear orthotics. These shoes are very comfortable and supportive. My foot is wide at the forefoot, but I have plenty of room with these shoes. Also, this is my second pair and they hold up for a long time.

My foot doctor recommended a Brooks shoe for my foot problems. I chose this shoe and I'm really pleased with it. They were a little tight when I first got them and had to use a shoehorn to get them on for about a week or two, but now I don't have to. They have a nice firm fit.

When I first put them on, I thought they were too tight. I thought, "shoot, I need to send these back." Then I decided to wear them around in the house for the day. After about 2 hours, they fit perfectly and might be the most comfortable and supportive shoes that I have. They really are addicting. I think they are sized right, but you need to break them in a bit. Excellent for daily walking and for taking your teenage kids through all the Disney World parks in 4 days.

The last few times I have ordered walking shoes, it has been this same Brooks Addiction Walker. It is very comfortable for my main form of exercise which is walking. I wish it was a little more "stylish" but am kind of getting over that factor as I get older. It's an overall great shoe and constructed very well. Zappos always has my size in stock and ships immediately...even upgraded my shipping choice on my last order at no charge to me.

True to size and very comfortable. I did add a Dr. Scholl's arch support which made these shoes even better for me. Liked them so well that I would consider another pair in a different color.

Probably the most comfortable, best-fitting sneakers I've ever worn. (This may not hold true for everyone since I have very narrow, flat, arthritic feet.) Enough cushioning for long walks or the treadmill, plus good, if not aggressive support. I wish they had slightly better traction on wet sidewalks and I had to get new laces -- the ones included were a bit short, though they held a knot very well. Darn good shoes.

For a sport walking shoe they are very pleasant looking. The toe box is sufficiently roomy and they feel fine. The tongue comes up a bit high for me, but I'm getting used to that. I had to break them in for a few days because they are all leather. I get the feeling they will hold up really well.

These walkers are the best! I bought them for my 71 year old mother who has very bad feet and trouble walking. She does quite well in them, even on the ice! Great shoes.

Love these shoes! I've been wearing them for work for about 3 years now and they last quite a while under extreme use. Very comfortable and well constructed. I haven't had any of my usual ankle problems since I started wearing these.

Excellent supportive fit. True to size. I actually ordered a second pair, I loved them so much. Very well made. I feel like the shoe helps me walk straighter and sturdier. I wear them all day long and they do not hurt my feet at all. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

These shoes are wonderful! I have Achilles tendinosis in both of my ankles, and these shoes allow me to walk my dogs, shop at the mall with no discomfort. Thank you Brooks and Zappos!

A really great shoe for those of us with foot problems. I have bunions, so the wide width helps. They offer firm support and are extremely comfortable. The only drawback is the shoe could be more stylish. It's wide in the front, but narrow at the heel for a snug fit.

I have severely pronated arches & this shoe was suggested by my physician. I just purchased my fourth pair of these walkers and I find them to be the most comfortable of any I own. The Zappos company provides excellent service - right prices, timely response to orders, good quality.

These were suggested to me by a shoe expert when I asked for what the Dr. ordered. Something for pronation and a sturdy, no wobble heel structure. That said, these are very comfy. I have had 4 pair of these and keep coming back. There is a beige color too. Sometimes I change the removable inserts with another good pronation arch and comfy heel because the shoes last a long time. Toe room is fabulous-no rubbing at all in these shoes.

This is a great shoe that I have worn for years! At first it feels snug but then it loosens up a little. I have pronated ankles and the shoe holds its shape rather than falling in. I go for a walk several times a week and these shoes hold up! I highly recommend them.

These are my new go-to shoes for use on concrete floors. They have great arch support, something I recently discovered was critical to my foot comfort. The toe box is a nice size for wiggle room. I found the shoelaces a bit short, but they don't come undone readily, so this is less of a problem than with other shoes. They are a little sporty looking, but are not too odd to wear with dressier trousers. Zappos had the right size and color, and they had even preserved a balance in my account for 6 months.

This type of shoe was recommended by my physical therapist - and I am glad he did. The shoe gives firm support and yet, is light, comfortable and provides good shock absorption. Most shoes with these qualities only come in super bright white. The dove gray is definitively a plus.

I have achilles tendinosis on both sides. I work in retail sales in a hardware store with lots of lifting and, walking on hard floors all day. These shoes have given me a good deal of support for my ankles and arch. I like the lining material as well, it does not bunch up my socks. The toe box is wide and high, so they don't crunch the front of your foot. I did order one size larger than I normally wear, and that was just right. I recommend these shoes; they give good support and are comfortable all day long. The order process and shipping were fast and easy. I received my order much sooner than I expected!
