This is a great walking shoe. It's comfortable, has great cushion and support in all the right places. I walk over 6 miles almost daily in these shoes and my feet are super happy every step of the way.

I love these shoes both for walking and for my job which requires a lot of standing. They work well for both and I have worn them for years. It's also nice that they fit and they keep making them. So many good shoes suddenly disappear after one or two good years.

My poor feet are in terrible shape in addition to being flat. The Brooks Addiction Walker shoes give me the support needed to be functional without pain and prevent further deterioration. Finding the right shoes, in my correct size, in stock in a physical store would be an elusive quest. The service provided by Zappos is priceless.

These are wonderful right out of the box. I have now purchased a third pair -- two white and one black -- because I've worn down the tread on the first white and have some walking time to go yet this year.

The orthopedic specialist put me in these shoes after back surgery. He says they are as good, if not better than, much more expensive shoes. I have worn out 4 pair. They keep the feel of cement from your soles and your spine pain-free.

My foot is growing wider every year. The Brooks Addiction Walker is the widest walking shoe that I can find in a women's shoe. It is very roomy in the entire toe box, and I have both the size 9 Wide and the size 9 Extra Wide. (One of my feet is wider than the other!) There is a lot of arch support. I have capsulitis, which is beginning to heal due to the good support that this shoe offers. This shoe also has enough padding so that you don't feel like you are walking on concrete. This shoe fits true to length. It is longer than a Nike, for example.

My feet were in desperate need of structured sneakers for the long walks I like to take. These sneakers are perfect! Just a note to orthotic wearers, though the arch support in the shoes is strong, you will most likely still need to put your inserts in them.

Bought these for my wife - she always complained about tired feet. She loves them - even forgets she has them on. Shipped in 1 day. Great.

Excellent support for my flat feet, I wear them all day. They feel a little wider than normal, a thicker sock works well.

This is a great shoe; the sizing perfect for both width and length and light as a feather and a super comfortable footbed. But as a female, I just couldn't get past its masculine appearance. Oh, to be one of those who can put anything on their feet and be happy!

These provide very good support. I am on my feet 10 hours a day, and these shoes are excellent.

I was not sure this item would replace the walkers which Brooks discontinued. However, these are even better than the other ones!

After two days of walking in this shoe it seems to be a very comfortable shoe. Usually the arches don't hit in the correct place, but happily, these are perfect for me. I got the extra wide. I love the width for walking. The cushioning feels good so far, too. My feet are sensitive and I have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable. they don't hurt around the ankle area, either.

I have worn New Balance shoes for years. I started to experience foot problems (non shoe related) and went to an orthotics store for some fittings of orthotics. They recommended this Brooks model of shoes. I was willing to try Brooks after thinking New Balance was the only shoe for me. Well, Brooks is now my first choice! I generally wear a 10 medium shoe, but must get a size 11 in both the New Balance as well as the Brooks. Also, Brooks uses real leather! You must try on the shoe for a good fit - don't be fooled by ordering your "standard" shoe size.

I have a heel spur and was pain free for about 4 days. The shoe works well with my orthotic.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn from the very first time I put them on! The finish on the leather makes them dressier than the usual athletic shoe.

I wear orthotic on one foot and Richie brace on the other for flat foot deformity. I had been wearing New Balance but they keep changing their designs and there were no longer any New Balance products to support my feet and my orthotics. This Brooks Addiction works very well and is very supportive. I only hope Brooks, too, won't mess with perfection as other shoe companies have.

If you want a pretty walking shoe, this isn't it, but it's the most comfortable and functional walking shoe ever ! I wear an orthotic for overpronation and ordered a full size larger -- would go 1/2 size smaller next time. There will be a next time!

These are great fitting shoes. They help my flat-feet, and my pronation. I keep coming back to them!

I have plantar fasciitis and have an orthotic to put in my shoe and this shoe is so roomy in the footbed and so comfortable, it is my second pair...and of course the wonderful, fast service from Zappos will keep me coming back again and again. Thanks Zappos.

This is a great shoe! Full support, appropriate cushioning, and excellent footing for both urban sidewalks and dirt hiking/walking trails.

Not the most cool looking shoe, but very good for walking. The phrase "function over fashion" never fit so well.

This shoe is the one Medicare gave me and I am buying a replacement on my own. The helped heal up my foot ulcer. It is great!
