Wonder shoes!!! Have been wearing Brooks Addiction for more years than I can remember. When I showed them to my orthopedist, he couldn't believe the construction and support. Working as a medical assistant for over 20 years, these shoes have been my life savor. I purchased a new pair 3 times a year. Worth ever penny I've spent. Recently found Zappos and it makes a good thing even better. Order online and receive them within a few days.

Handled Vegas like a pro! I have tried several different types of walkers and I keep coming back to the Addiction. I like the 08 better than the original, but wishes they were more stylish. It was a little tight at first with my orthotic, but the leather stretched within a day. I have had no problems since then and have ordered the white pair which look like nurse's shoes (I work in the health care field, so this works). They are comfortable, durable and handled walking miles in Vegas without issue. Plus Zappos has the best return and shipping out there. I ordered the white pair at 9:30 EST and they arrived the next day. Love you Zappos and love the Brooks!!

Wonderful Walking Shoes - I love these shoes for walking! I have walked miles in these while in Europe and have not had any problems. They have supported my feet and back very well. They have excellent arch support. I have purchased other Brook's running shoes in the past few years and these are the first walking shoes. I'm sure I will be buying more.

Have worn Brooks for years - While these look rather utilitarian, they give me great support for walking. Walking is my primary form of exercise, and I walk about 20 miles a week. This is an updated model from the one I used to wear, but it's essentially unchanged. The latest pairs I've ordered don't seem to wear for as long (used to last me a year; now more like 6-9 months... but in fairness, I might be walking more). These aren't a lightweight shoe, but they are WATERPROOF-- I walk right through puddles most days and my feet stay dry. Lots of room for my orthotics. I've tried lots of brands, and these work best for me (8 EE foot with bunions). They run large-- I order a 7.5 in this shoe, where I normally wear an 8 in other shoes.

The Best Shoes! My feet used to hurt all the time. I am on my feet all day for years past. Now I do not have feet and leg pain. I started with orthotics, but it wasn't til I got the Brooks Addiction Walker that it all resolved.

Happy Feet Happy ME - The Brooks Addiction Walker W 08 is a profoundly great shoe. Incredible comfort. All day long support. Really great support in fact. Looks are good too. In fact after walking in my shoes for a day or two... I ordered 2 more pairs. I do not want to be without them. Thank you to the staff for helping me find them... it was my 1st time shopping at Zappos...I think I hit a homer. GO CUBS!!! You will love these shoes too. Oh yes they do run small... so listen to the advise of the Zappos shoe expert...go a size bigger.

Addiction Walker W 08 - This is remarkably well constructed with smooth interior (ie. no abrasive stitching), excellent support, holds its shape longer than any other I've had, sheds stains and water and easily accommodates an orthotic. The toe box is ample and well shaped. The bone color is ideal for all-season wear. I have purchased 4 pairs which speak for my satisfaction.

I had foot surgery and struggled to find comfortable shoes for my 10 day at work. These are very comfortable.

The sneaker is bulky, sole is hard and not really flexible, insole soft, overall comfortable sneakers, wish for something lighter, airy. I’m keeping it, need it to wear to work

I have a long narrow foot. These fit as they should, comfortable and snug. Not loose at all. The appearance though , thick soles and all one color, made me feel like a brat doll. So returning.

These are very comfortable shoes. I recently sustained an ankle sprain so I was looking for shoes that would provide support and motion control for an over pronator. These do the job. I initially bought them in the bone color thinking they would look less orthopedic but no such luck. The black are more practical so I exchanged them. They are not heavy which was a pleasant surprise but they are clunky. My shoes sometimes hit each other as I walk because of the bulky style. Sometimes I feel that the shoes are not responsive enough to my foot movement but I suppose that is a small price to pay for a stable shoe.

They were comfortable as soon as I put them on and they have remained comfortable. I'm not a big fan of the color I chose, but it's growing on me. I chose the color because at the time white or black was not available and I needed a great walking shoe.

Fit and size are great. Very comfortable walker. The arch could be a bit better. But that is according to my feet. Someone else may have no problem at all. They are a bit clunky. But I think that just makes them different, not bad.

This shoe feels good for walking, although I'd prefer a little more support and a tad more cushioning. The main problem is getting the shoe on and off. The tongue is stiff, the laces are short for the number of holes, and the laces are tight in the holes. Loosening it enough to get my foot in or out is a chore, and so is tightening it onto my foot. If I keep it, I'll probably relace it, skipping a few holes. Getting it on and off will still be work, though.

I walk every day and need good shoes. These are very sturdy, run true to size, I wear and 8 and bought an 8 which fit perfectly. They are very substancial shoes, a bit heavy with a thick outer sole but this is good for walking. My foot does not turn over to the side as can happen with shoes that are made partly of fabric. These shoes are leather. I have been using them for two weeks and do not find any problem except that lacing them up can be a bit more difficult as they are a bit stiff to lace. I would recommend them to anyone who walks daily. I do like that they come in beige as I feel less that they shout look at my feet!

The size was too big. The comfort is good. I had to get them shipped to my home in USA and then shipped to Thailand and the worst part is I can't even return them. I am always a 6.5/7 in sneakers and these were way too big. Overall, the comfort is good and the style isn't bad, but I am very disappointed with the size.

These shoes seem hard to find. What with all the excellent reviews on various sites, that may mean they are all being snapped up as soon as in stock or the manufacturer needs to up their production (both?) I hope it doesn’t mean they are discontinuing it. I have been on a long and painful search for a mobility shoe in order to combat my flat feet and over-pronation which has caused PTTD in both ankles (posterior tibial tendon dysfunction). I finally found my perfect athletic-type shoe, but I also wanted a more water resistant version. My custom orthotic inserts take up a bit of space so I need a half-size larger than my usual 9.5. The size 10 in the Brooks Addiction Walker is a bit short (my ortho inserts barely fit flat all the way to the toe in these, but they fit perfectly in other brands’ size 10s). The width, too, is a tad tighter than I would like. However, as they are leather, I can always use a leather stretch spray across the toe box. The shoe is very well padded around the ankle and feels pretty comfortable all around. The sole is perfect as it is very supportive and barely flexible.The insert removes easily for using customer orthotics/inserts. The Brooks Addiction Walker is a very good shoe for me. I do wish it were offered in more stylish color combinations, though ... not necessarily neon flash, but I think a contrasting sole would look great -
