i'm very happy with the walker, it fits true to size. Only negative is the shoe laces are a bit short for a double tie, and i wish the tongue was a bit longer. Otherwise I'm very happy.

I wear several pairs of Brooks running shoes for walking. Didn't know they had a walker shoe also, so bought these. Very comfortable and very supportive for my weak ankles. Uppers are a bit stiff initially, but not bother me at all. Like the fact that they are all leather and no mesh, so I have a warmer shoe to wear during the cold months. Ordered my regular size for Brooks and fit was perfect.

the lower stars were only for the style. i wouldn’t call them sexy or flirty, but that’s not at all why i bought them. i suffered with plantar fasciitis several years ago and a pair of brooks and custom orthotics saved my life. i’m now dealing with a recurrence of pf and i purchased these shoes in preparation for a trip to ireland. they will allow me to travel comfortably in any weather condition. i’ve been wearing them with my orthotics and couldn’t be more pleased. sexy? no. common sense and effective? yes.

Excellent walking shoes for those of us who overpronate and need foot stability. Very good cushioning. A bit clunky but you can't have everything!

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walkers and running shoes for many years due to issues with over-pronation and plantar fasciitis. Brooks does
not disappoint!

These shoes are great. I think I've had about 6 pair over the last 7 years and I use them almost every day. I walk 3 miles every day and these shoes have been my saviors. The fit is perfect and the overall support is just what I need.

I LOVE these shoes!! Incredibly happy with the fit and support. Not heavy. Very firm. I have foot and balance issues, and these shoes help with both. They make me feel like a sure-footed goat!! They come in extra wide, which is what I need, so very pleased with that. They look good on my feet and look nice whether I'm wearing jeans or nice slacks. Zappos was incredible as always -- the shoes arrived so much faster than expected.

I purchased these in White and, they felt so good, I purchased another pair in Black. The arch support was higher than I was used to, so I wore them a couple of half-days around the house to get used to them, before deciding to keep them. They really are great. For years, I had been wearing only "Grandma Shoes" from SAS, because they were the only shoes that didn't make me have foot and leg cramps at night. My podiatrist told me to try these, and now I can wear "sneakers" with my capris, etc, and not look like a "Grandma!" I WANT to be a grandma, but not look like one!

Hideously ugly color, reminiscent of a 1980s desktop computer, but comfortable. I have custom orthotics for flat feed and these shoes fit them perfectly.
I'm young but now the owner of yia yia shoes. Might take these to the shoe repair dude to see if he can apply some coloring agent that will also work on the side of the sole, which is also the same unfortunate color.
Brooks, throw us a bone and produce these in better colors. It's depressing enough to have to replace all of one's shoes once custom orthotics are prescribed, don't make us suffer crap color choices, too.

This shoe is great for a foot that over pronates. One of the few shoes I am able to wear that don't hurt my feet. Love them

Great shoes. Recommended by my podiatrist. Softened up after I wore them a few times-- so at first I thought I might prefer the wide width, but the medium width worked fine (my regular size), even with orthotics placed inside the shoe. Added benefit is that they are slip-resistant, which is required for my work. I going to get another pair to wear inside the house.

These are excellent shoes for people with foot issues. The arch support is good, and the removable foot bed and above average depth accommodates orthotics well. There is no break-in period - the shoes are comfortable as soon as you put them on.

I’ve bought the Brooks Addiction Walker for years. It’s my “go to” shoe whenever I need to be on my feet for hours or do a lot of walking. It has the best comfort and support of any shoe I’ve ever owned.

I suffer from multiple foot problems, so it is difficult for me to find a shoe that is both comfortable and supportive. The Brooks Addiction Walker seems to fit the bill for what I need. My foot don't get tired so easily, and the toe is wide enough that my foot is not cramped.

Hi, so I haven't worn these outside the house yet, I only tried them on, walked around the bedroom, saw how they looked in the full length mirror and put them in the huge shoe closet with many other pairs that have yet to be worn. But the thing is, I put them in a spot where they are ready to go, way-y-y-y ahead of previously purchased shoes. I did that because they were very comfortable. Usually, when the tongue is this padded, it causes discomfort on the top of my foot. These have a very comfortable padding and I experienced zero discomfort. Usually, the back of the shoe bothers an Achilles tendon injury...the backs of these shoes were very comfortable even though or maybe because they have extra padding in the back. I have another injury to the front of my right foot and these shoes are so roomy that my old injury didn't act up. And this injury acts up so much that in the past I've purchased men's athletic foot wear. These shoes look neutral...not feminine nor male. I like the look, they are clean looking. They make me feel as though I could run in the shoes without problems. I would gladly buy another pair.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of the Brooks Addiction Walker which I wear every day unless it's sandles weather. They are comfortable & provide the necessary support my plantar neuroma requires.

My everyday shoe. They aren't pretty, but my feet love them. I first purchased this shoe in black. I have bunions on both feet and need a supportive shoe, or I will get shooting pains and spasms in my foot. I wore the black pair almost everyday, all winter long. I have purchased the tan pair for my summer look. I would love to run around in cute sparkly sandals, but my feet talk to me (ouch! stop! yikes take these silly shoes off!). My sandals are Birkenstocks, and I can wear Birkenstocks everyday in summer.

These shoes won't win any prizes for style, but boy are they supportive! I have severe overpronation and have worn New Balance walking shoes for more than 10 years, but these shoes made me change brands. I tried on a bunch of different motion control shoes including my previous model, New Balance WW928. The Brooks Addiction Walker blew them all away.
I normally wear Superfeet insoles in my walking shoes, but these Brooks are supportive enough on their own that I don't need them. They hold my feet and ankles still from rotating inward. They are also so well padded it feels like walking on a cloud.
If I could make one change it would be maybe a tiny bit more toe width, as the cut of these is narrower than New Balance. On the other hand, anything that makes this giant shoe look bigger would probably be a mistake.
These shoes are pretty ugly, but I've had 10 years of wearing orthopedic-looking giant white walking shoes, so I'm used to it. I do wish the "white" was pure white - they are kind of a cream color.
However, when it comes to walking shoes, it's all about the comfort, and these definitely deliver!

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walkers for 20 years and I have all three colors. I have flat feet and they are seriously pronated. I had custom made orthotics, but they didn't work and I still had ankle, knee and back pain. I started wearing these shoes at the suggestion of a sales clerk in a shoe store, she also worked for an orthopedic doctor. The difference was amazing and I stopped using the orthotics, they were extremely hard and bulky and I felt like I was going to fall. As I got older, I felt the need to add orthotics again, but they are much slimmer and flexible.
I put my Brooks on as soon as I get up in the morning and I don't take them off until bedtime. I can't walk very well without them. The shoe store where I first started buying the Brooks closed and I live in a small community, so I went online and found Zappos. I order about 2 pairs a year from them and they always ship fast, I appreciate that very much.
I have two complaints. When I ordered my black shoes. I think I was sent a man's shoe. It is a little bigger than my other shoes, but the size is my size (8.5) on the tongue. By the time I realized it, I had them for a while. Zappos has a good return policy, but I purchased shoes at other sites before I found Zappos, so I couldn't be sure that I bought them from Zappos.
My other complaint/request is that Brooks make a shoe that is a little less casual, more dressy, to wear with slacks.

I don't wear anything but Brooks.

The shoe runs true to size and it is wide enough for me and I wear all wide shoes. There is arch support and it is a little stiffer than some sneakers It is not stiff enough to really make a complaint about it. It will break right in and my feet are picky about space and stiffness. This a walking sneaker and not a fashion item and so I am satisfied. I will consider a second pair after I have used them for a few weeks. I am 63 and do walking and have a standing job so they are right for me!

These are great shoes. I wear orthotics and have all sorts of foot problems and these fit the bill. I had to send them back to get a bigger size but that was the only complaint!!!!! They are great, cushiony, supportive and overall good shoes if you wear orthotics and have any kind of foot problems. Zappos is really the best place to buy shoes by far.

Very comfortable. I wear WW, need good arch support and good padding on the bottom of my feet. Bought two different shoes and these were superior to the other brand. Returning the other. I see why they named them Addiction Walker

I had recently suffered a foot injury and the podiatrist pointed out that my Brooks Glycerin 13 were good. Though they are comfortable and well beyond broken in, they had a lot of mileage on them. I have a tendency to over-pronate so I started to do some research and found the Brooks Addiction Walkers. I wanted to make sure that my foot condition didn't exacerbate my issue. These shoes are the best. Tons of support and my feet feel extremely stable. I can go for walks in them without worrying that my feet will be sore or fatigued. I got the black pair since I wanted to be able to wear them to work and though they may not be the most stylish, I will vote for comfort any day over style. I wear a size 8.5 or 9 so I opted for the 9 and they fit great. I am so happy that I found them! Thank you, Brooks Addiction!!!

These shoes are all I buy for everyday use and work.I have been a nurse for 26 years.I have had foot surgery years ago, fallen arches, and over pronate. These shoes taking the pounding of working 12 hour shifts in a hospital.I've tried different shoes on and off over the years, I pull them off and put my Brooks back on. Just can't find a better shoe..I don't even try any more!Don't change the shoe or discontinue please!

This shoe is determined to keep your foot safe and in the right position. If I had more serious foot issues I would have kept this pair. Not quite ready for it; it is very stiff and takes more time and effort to get on the foot than I am ready to invest. I think for the first time I could have used a shoe horn. Instead I got a Ryka walking shoe. This shoe looks just a little more 'ortho' than I'd like.
