I purchased this shoe from a local shop because I broke my pinkie toe and I needed the shoe right away. I normally wear a 7.5 in sneakers. Got this bad boy in 8 wide and my toe in in heaven. Old timer sneakers are actually in style and I think these are cute. They are stiff in the sole and a bit clunky since they are a recovery shoe. I love them and they are saving my foot. If u have an injury or are coming out of a boot this will feel good to you.

If you have plantar fasciitis and have been to the experts... then you know this shoe already. It is like an arch support tank. Just soft and flexible enough to be an athletic shoe, but an orthopedic necessity to those suffering with foot pain. My wife has had 4 pair. They have saved her feet along with a few of my friends... these shoes are leather and a little rigid, so she alternates these with adrenaline 19’s... also a high arch support shoe for pronators, softer and breathable... and also Brooks, which IMO stands apart for superior footwear. My wife and I have been through a few brands, but have always come back to Brooks. Perhaps luck, but consistent quality and great fit and durability... now if they would just girl this shoe up a little bit... one does want for a punch of color.

The Brooks Addiction Walker design is a great shoe for city walking. It is a strong solid shoe for pounding the pavement. The slight "rocker" design is ideal for people like myself who have foot problems. My one complaint is that after awhile the shoes begin to squeak. This has already happened three times (with three different pairs or this design). I sound like a giant mouse!

These shoes turned out to be the perfect all-purpose sport shoe. It is a true half size. The arch is in the right spot for my foot, and the ankle area hugs my ankle so that my foot doesn't move up and down as I walk and jog. They're very comfortable.

This is my third pair of Brooks walkers. They have given me pain free walking. Before Brooks I had major problems from heel pain that kept coming back in spite of several shots.

I have had multiple foot surgeries and this is the only shoe that my pt/orthopedic recommends!

This is a great pair of shoes. I have very bad feet and no arch. I have to wear special orthodics, but, not with these shoes, thank heavens. You have to get half to a full size larger then your normal size. This is my second pair and I probably will not buy any other type of work shoe. I am a contractor with the United States Post Office and there is a requirement to wear only all leather uppers, non-slip sole type shoes and I hunted for a couple of weeks until I found them on Zappos. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

After searching for months for a good shoe...this is it! I work in a special needs school on a cement floor lifting children all day long. I was experiencing foot pain every day in my arches and heels. These shoes are everything they claim to be and more. You can't beat the price on Zappos either.

THE BEST sneaker/shoe ever owned! I bless the woman who adamantly encouraged me to try this shoe. She, like myself, formerly wore nothing but New Balance until she discovered the Brooks Addiction Walker. I have wide feet and very pronounced bunions and hammertoes. The comfort factor is unbelievably great. Super for wearing all day long. The extra wide (EE) shoe fits and feels so well that I also ordered a pair last night in bone and one in white. Several reviews I read on your site also were extremely helpful. This shoe is true to size and width. I LOVE THIS SHOE and I LOVE ZAPPOS. Thank you.

This is my second pair, and I still think they are the best walking shoes ever. I have difficult to fit feet. My feet are wide and flat, and I use prescription orthotics. I wear these shoes everyday and walk about 12,000 steps a day. I have never had a blister or callus with these shoes. They are great!

\r\nOverall I\'m disappointed in the shoes, but they are better than the NB-845\'s that I was wearing. I suffer from Sciatica on my left side from my hip down to past my knee.. they have helped with that. I also have problems with my left foot. The bones have softened from a injury that I had and the shoe really doesn\'t seem to help with that. At work I\'m on my feet all day and the floors are concrete. I was hoping that my feet wouldn\'t hurt after half of the day had gone by, but they do. I\'m starting to wonder if I\'ll ever find a comfortable shoe. I gave this shoe 3 stars, because they have helped with Sciatica.

I wanted a pair of all purpose walking shoe that were supportive without the sole being too thick. These shoes are just what I wanted and the color lets me wear anything with it. I have slight pronation and need hard arch and stiff heel support for maintaining no pain from plantar fascitis condition. These shoes have pretty good arch support and do have room for my over the counter orthotic if I decide I need it. The toe box is wide enough and flexible enough I can sequence the entire bottom of my foot to assist in walking quickly.

Fit and size were true to other Brooks shoes. My Podiatrist recommended this shoe and I can't believe what a difference this shoe has made! Really helped my knee and hip pain and my orthotics fit very well. Also Zappos was the only place I could find my size and the price was very good.

I work as a floor nurse and on my feet all day. I also shattered my heel in a car accident years ago. I think I finally found the right shoes. I only planned on wearing those shoes to work since I’m not over the moon about the style but because they’re so comfortable I have started wearing them out running errands or whatever. The look is growing on me and my son says they actually don’t look too bad. Happy with my purchase. Hoping the bone color will restock as I’ll be grabbing another pair!

These shoes are clunky but worth it if you need a lot of support and cushioning, and they look nice enough that you can get away with wearing with wearing them with pants for somewhat nicer occasions. I've worn them for everyday and exercise walking for over a year now and they've held up well.

LOVE this shoe!!! This my fourth pair of Brooks addiction walkers..I only walk " to do my life ", having had five hip replacements , also one knee . Until I discovered this one, I went through many other name brands, with not much Support, comfort, etc.,etc. Recommend it to all my friends as the one to start with ! Did go to a lighter, softer,running Shoe for the summer..also a Brooks.. It' my Shoe Doc forever !!!!!

I have been wearing these shoes for years. Great on cement floors and water resistant.

I love this shoe!! I have feet that have particular needs - they are wide, arthritic, toes cross over on both feet and I occasionally have a flare-up of my neuromas.....and I am very active and love to walk ! These shoes are very supportive and fit my orthotics perfectly. When I went to Scotland and knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking, these are the shoes I wore most of the time. When I wear them, I literally do not think about my feet at all. They are maybe not the most attractive but they fulfill such a great purpose that I don't mind. I wear an 8 wide and have them in both the black and beige.

Good for orthotic. The technician who fitted my orthotic said these were the best for orthotics. Have to wear these due to post tibial tendon rupture. Wish there were more fashionable or sporty options available. Kind of feel like an old lady in these, but it is what it is.

I ordered a pair of New Balance which didn't work out. I had worn New Balance for years but they changed their design. When I called Zappos to return the shoes, and ask for an alternative, the sales rep. said that most of his senior customers like ths shoe. They were right, the Brooks Addiction Walker are excellent shoes for walking, comfortable, stable, good looking. I am very happy with my purchase!

These shoes are fantastic! I have plantar fasciitis along with tarsal tunnel syndrome. These shoes really help and I can wear them with black pants. Would highly recommend them for anyone (especially if you need to wear orthotics).

First time buying this brand and followed the review that said they ran short, ordered a half size larger and they fit perfect. They are the most comfortable walking shoes I have purchased in quite a while. Liked mine so much ordered a pair for my husband who walks 6.4 miles 7 days a week.

These shoes have been life savers for me. I haven't worn anything else for several years. I just bought the last pair in stock of my size. I am very sad.
