These are great shoes. Very comfortable for all day walking. They are not the cutest shoe, by would be great for touring or if one needs to be on your feet all day. Definitely recommended these

I am an avid walker. I was wearing Propet but noticed that my feet were tiring more quickly than they should during my five mile walks. So, I needed to find a really good walking shoe. After several returns, I purchased the Brooks. I do not have any problems with my feet; however, I do wear an incredibly thick sock with its own footbed. I found that with my sock, I moved up an entire size and increased my width from a narrow to a wide. With the lace-up capability, I can tighten as appropriate. I have had back surgery and I noticed that wearing the Brooks has reduced any back pain I had previously. I have a high arch and these shoes still work well for me. If I didn't have these socks, I would probably still go up one-half size and one width. I believe these shoes run small. I am so happy with these shoes that I purchased a pair for my husband. I ordered up one size and one width and they fit him perfectly. He also wears the uber thick socks that I do. Overall, I am extremely happy with the Brooks walkers even though they aren't very attractive. Many thanks to the Zappos team for helping me find the right shoe. Best customer service anywhere!!

I've worn Addiction Walkers for year. I have tried other shoes, but always come back to these because the others hurt my feet. I will stick with Addiction Walkers from now on!

These shoes were recommended by a friend, and I highly recommend them. Comfortable with excellent arch support, I can walk for miles without tired feed.

I'm size 9B and shoes fit perfectly. The problem was my left small toe hurt. I tried walking around the house to see if sneaker would loosen up, but it's a pretty stiff leather that didn't break in.

I have purchased probably 5 pairs since I found this shoe. My feet are a mess and these fit my bunions. I hope Brooks never changes this style. Zappo's is wonderful.

I am on my fourth pair of these shoes. They fit beautifully, are comfortable and aren't embarrassing to wear. I have flat, wide feet and tricky knees. The support I get from these shoes is awesome. I only wish they came in another color. Maybe some fun color. I would up my style rating if they did.

After years of foot, leg, and back pain from extremely flat feet and severe overpronation, these shoes have been lifesavers for me. My special insoles fit perfectly and don't make the shoe too snug. I have a pair of each color and wear them EVERYWHERE! I miss wearing dressier shoes, but pay for it and go right back to the Brooks Addiction. I hope Brooks never changes the style or eliminates it from their line - I am walking further and longer than ever with these wonderful shoes.

I have arthritis and bone spurs in my right foot and these are the only shoes that I can wear. Do wish they would come in more colors.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I ordered 1/2 size smaller and it did not fit. They did not have my size in stock. I returned this shoe (very easy to do) and mine was in stock so I exchanged it. I look forward to the new shoe. Even being a half size small it was very comfortable. My only complaint is it looks like an old ladies shoe. I am an old lady but like shoes that look a little younger. :)

I have "feet problems"( flat feet) as it were, and as I got older my arches feel even more and developed PTTI. I have prescription made orthotics in my shoe. What's so nice is that these particular shoes are deep enough to accommodate them. My physcial therapist recommended this shoe brand and make and she was sooooooooo right about the fit. HIghly recommended them. Also I needed narrow and this shoe had that too. A winner on all accounts.

My first pair with Brooks, and I love it! Hard to find just a plain classic white tennis shoes anymore these days, and yet I found it in Brooks! Call me conservative, but yes sometimes back to basic is the choice for a change. Love it even more when found out Brooks offers it in wide width. Very comfortable, I wore it from fall to spring in Seattle mild winter last year. The only complaint I have is that the traction - outsold is not very good, came very close to landing on my butt a fair few times.

I bought these for my wife, who walks at least three miles every day. She says they are a great walking shoe - well made and very supportive.

Being in my mid-fifties, I didn't think it would be so hard to find comfortable athletic shoes. I tried several different brands of shoes and orthotics but kept having the same issue with my arches until I bought these. To be honest I ordered these some time ago but sent them back because they weren't cute. With no relief from foot pain I decided to order these again and decided comfort over cute. They are awesome! I have NO foot pain and can walk for hours.

I bought these shoes on the recommendation of my podiatrist, because he said they have excellent stability. They accommodate my custom orthotics easily. I use them for exercise walking, and have found them to be extremely comfortable, right from the first time I wore them. They provide excellent support, are well cushioned and did not require any break in period. I was also impressed with the quality of construction. The sizing seemed very true. My only minor quibble is that they are not very stylish, but you can't have everything. I liked them so much that I got a pair for my husband, too, and he is very happy with them as well.

I have feet that ache and weak ankle, bad kneea, and an aching back. A physical therapist recommended these to me 9 years ago, they have helped so much. I wear all three colors, wish they came in more cokors. I wear prescription orthotics in them and they fit well. I wear them every day and they last a long time.

I am very pleased with these walking shoes. As I am getting older, I wanted walking shoes with extra support but not too klunky or old fashioned. I also require shoes that are AA. These shoes fit the bill!

I have problem feet. They tend to turn out, I have a low arch, and I have heel issues. Plus, I lack coordination due to MS. So, I need an exceptional shoe. I've tried on so many shoes in search of a something that is just as supportive but less expensive, and it doesn't exist. The Brooks Addiction Walker (tie - not v-strap) is the absolute best shoe for anyone with gait issues. I recommend you get it long enough and wide enough so that when your foot swells, your feet are still comfortable. I also use a Birkenstock orthotic that's been modified a little because one leg is shorted than the other. I can't really comment on the arch support since I use an orthotic. Overall, this shoe is definitely worth the money. Personally I don't care if it looks like an old lady's shoe. My feet feel great, and that matters most. Buy it. You won't regret it, ever.
