I saw a podiatrist for pain in the outer part of my foot. Xrays didn't reveal a problem, so the podiatrist couldn't help me. Later at the recommendation of a shoe salesman, I bought my first pair of Brooks Addiction Walker shoes. I've worn Brooks Addiction shoes pain free for over a decade. If I wear another cool shoe for a few days just for variety, the pain returns. My recently purchased Brooks Addiction Walker shoe is comfortable as well as cushioned and supportive. They're well made and don't wear out.

I've bought Brooks for years and they are the greatest. After 2 total knee replacements, I needed good support and they work for me.

This is maybe the fifth or sixth time I've ordered these walkers. They are great for my feet. I have trouble with my metatarsal joint (the ball of my foot) and these are so wonderfully padded that I have no pain. Two cons: the i side padding wears down somewhat quickly, so depending on how often you wear them, you may need to replace them faster than you like. Also, I found the soles moderately slippery, and don't like to wear them on wet pavements for that reason. But the pros outweigh those cons and I will continue to buy them. I wear a half size larger than my regular shoe size.

I recently got the Brooks Addiction Walker. My arch has collapsed, and I am having to replace ALL my pairs of shoes! This shoe was one of the few that I could find in the right size, width and color! It definitely fits true to size and width, and is extremely comfortable!!! I highly recommend it!!!

This shoe was recommended by my Doctor's office. I bought the bone color shoe, and am very pleased--I feel it is not stand- outish, since I am wearing this shoe ALL the time! This is the only pair of shoes that I have, when first taken out of the box, relieved the pain in my heel. I read the reviews about getting one size larger, which I did try, but I feel in this shoe I needed my exact size, however others may like that larger feeling. This shoe is a God send. I have only tried this brand for my plantar fasciitis condition.

THESE are the shoes that I have been searching for for years! A few years ago, I injured my feet, and I have suffered from plantar fasciitis ever since. I've spent way too much money on shoes that people said were good for being on your feet all day, only to find my feet cramping or sore part way through the day. These babies, while not pretty, are like hugs on my feet all day. My feet are wide and very hard to fit. I ordered the extra wide shoe in my normal European size, and they fit like they were made for my feet. The first thing I did was replace the insole with the Pinnacle Maxx insole. The laces are 54", but they should be 60" to work with the wide. No worries, though. I simply laced them differently than they came, and they are perfect. When I get home from work at night, I don't want to take them off; they're that comfortable. I also ordered a second pair in a different color. I cannot say enough praise about these shoes.

These are wonderful shoes but I have very sensitive and deformed feet and they just aren't comfortable

I have suffered with heel and day foot pain for several weeks, that kept getting worse. Having tried many things to find relief, I am finally on the road to recovery with these shoes. Brooks Addiction Walkers are the only shoes I can currently wear comfortably; they offer the much needed support. I even wear them to church on Sundayour. Although not my normal style, the comfort is worth it.

Love these shoes. Very comfortable. A little wide, but that will be a bonus during the summer. My feet don't seem to get as hot in these shoes compared to other brands.

They are okay looking. Not the best looking shoe but I bought them to wear with plantar fasciitis braces and they work perfectly and provide the stability I need in a tennis shoe I can wear to work. They are extremely comfortable without the braces and I am a Brooks fan under any circumstance.

I have plantar fascitis and have to wear special inserts. So mybsupport is better than what the shoes have. Overall their comfortable and have really strong bottoms which is wxactly what i need. Their not cute at all but thry do their job.

As usual, great service. New type shoe and didn't fit. No problem. I'll be back.

I absolutely love the Brooks Addiction Walker in bone. I wear this shoe all day almost every day, so I replace my Brooks at least 2-3 times per year. I wear a woman's 11.5 and my feet are not wide. My long, skinny feet make it very difficult to find women's shoes. The B width is perfect! In my size, I can usually only find black or white shoes, and they are almost always men's 10.5 instead of a woman's 11.5. I proclaim that a men's 10.5 is not the same as a women's 11.5. Men's shoes are wide, over-sized, and clunky. I love that this shoe comes in bone (light gray). I get a lot of compliments on these shoes. I see that I just bought the last 2 pair in stock. Please get more!

I've worn these shoes for a number of years. I've had to size up a half size lately to accommodate my changing feet. Finding sturdy shoes for my wide feet is a challenge. Brooks are still the best. I need a sturdy shoe with a solid platform that will give me structure and stability for work and walking about. Brooks is the only company so far that has a comfortable walking shoe that provides this support. There is nothing comparable to the Addiction Walkers. I hope that Brooks will always continue to manufacture these shoes. I highly recommend them.

LOVE THESE SHOES! These shoes have a wide toe and a narrow heel. This is fabulous for those of us that need that configuration. I suffer all the time with heels that slip and slide. In the old days they used to make shoes that were C/A width. But those days are long gone. If you need a wide toe (bunions and what not) with a narrow heel that won't slide, these shoes are for you. If you need a medium heel with the wide toe - look elsewhere. They are very comfortable and supportive and easy to walk in. While the heels look very built up, they feel flat when you have them on. Great shoes!

I have very flat feet and a bunion, so finding shoes that are comfortable and that offer enough support is a challenge. These shoes are great on both counts.

This shoe seems to be exactly like the 10 year old pair of Addiction Walkers that I am reluctantly replacing. I hope this pair holds up as well because it is the most comfortable pair of walking shoes that I have ever owned. I especially appreciate that they are available in 6 WW to accommodate my hard to fit foot.

I recently purchased Brooks Addiction walking shoes from Zappos. I was looking for shoes that would help with my Plantar Faciatis. They are very comfortable especially with my SuperFeet inserts. I highly recommend these shoes, and I like the color, they are a beige white color. Also I like Zappos, I received my order in two days, and also ordered slippers for my husband. The slippers for my husband were too big, I returned them and ordered a different style. There was no charge for returns! I love Zappos!

I'm a nurse and I wear these shoes for work. They've helped my feet so much! They are extremely comfortable and provide excellent support especially when you're on your feet for 10+hours a day!

I will be traveling soon and need a good walking shoe alternative to my gym shoes. The Brooks Addiction Walker has good arch support, fits snugly true to size so good support all around. The design also looks a bit more trim than regular gym shoes, yet toes are comfortable. I chose the bone color for spring khakis; looks nice. I'm very happy with them. Thank you Zappos for the round of returns until I found this style. You're the best.

I have been plagued with foot problems, so I religiously wear these to avoid any in the future. I don't buy any other shoes and while I don't believe these are anything close to stylish, they fit well and help me avoid future foot problems.

These are very comfortable. I had to go up a half size. Definitely will purchase another pair.

This is not a stylish shoe but it is a great shoe for challenging feet. I have issues with tendonitis, bad knees and high arches. This shoe worked straight out of the box. I have been using Aasics to work out but have gotten increasingly unhappy with them. I primarily work out on the elliptical and do weights. These shoes are fabulous for this. I also walk a lot at times. I am excited to have found a shoe that feels right. To alleviate pain I will put up with the ugliness!

This is the only brand which did not allow my ankle to pronate or supinate. I wear orthodics and unfortunately have to send back SAS, Saucony,Propet and Drew. All allowed at the minimum pronation, some also allowed supination.
