I would recommend these shoes not just for walking. I work in a grocery store in the seafood department it is wet and we have a cement floor we walk on all day. Shoes are extremely comfortable and are slip resistant. I have finally found the shoes of my dreams. I will never buy another brand again. These are a keeper. I have tried many other brands and they don't compare to Brooks walking shoes. If you work on your feet all day give these shoes a try you won't regret it.

First time I've bought a walker rather than a running shoe. I like it, very comfortable. I use orthotics, so I cannot say whether the arch support is good for others, but the cushioning is great.

These shoes give great support if you have plantars fasciitis.

I've worn Brooks Ariels for workouts for years, but I wanted to get a sturdier walking shoe for fall and winter. Based on the other reviews, I decided to give these a try. What a great shoe! It gives excellent support overall and superb arch support which helps with my plantar fascitis. It's an all-leather shoe which should be perfect for colder weather. The only minor drawbacks are that the shoe is fairly heavy, and it's kind of ugly, but I'll take comfort over looks any day! The other reviewers are right, this is a wonderful walking shoe!!

I LOVE this shoe. I gave it 4 stars for style, but it is SO COMFORTABLE that style is not important to me. Actually, because they are black, they don't draw attention to themselves and look fine with my jeans and even some of my dressier pants. I wore down my last pair and ordered another one as a replacement. I said arch support was good, but actually, I use SuperFeet insoles in all my shoes so I really don't know how good their insoles are. These are one of my FAVORITE SHOES OF ALL TIME. Brooks - if you are reading this - can you try making a dress shoe that is this comfortable?

Ordering my new shoes was incredibly easy and I was amazed that I received the shoes the very next day (in time to take on vacation). Thank you for doing what you say you will do.

This was the first time I have worn a walking shoe. The shoe is very comfortable and padded for comfort with good arch support. I could wear them right out of the box, no break in period. Not the prettiest shoe, but very functional. I typically wear a 7 and 1/2, but this shoe was best in an 8. I appreciated the fact that Zappos carries this in a wide width as I have a wide foot.

I have had 4 pairs of these shoes. I have tried others brands that were cheaper but I have had to come back. If you want comfort get these, if you want style you have to look else where. These are the best, I have recommended these shoes to several people and they have continued to purchase them also.

This is my second pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers. I bought my first pair following several injuries to my heel and ankle that my foot doctor said required a walking shoe that didn't flex. I had spent about three months in a walking boot to correct my problems. I have worn my Brooks ever since whenever I walk any distance and none of my problems have reoccurred. They are very comfortable and hold up well.

So far I have used the shoes with the Treadmill. They are cushioned well and have great support, a bit heavier than my walking tennis shoes but more comfortable for heavy duty walking. I wear a size 7.5 but one foot is wider so chose the 8 wide which is a perfect fit.

I really like these shoes. I walk at least 3 miles daily, as well as stand and walk all day at work. These shoes hold up extremely well and after almost 5 months show very little wear and continue to have excellent support. I currently have the beige and white shoes and will soon be ordering the black shoes.

I like the shoe. Mine was a little too small, so I ordered a longer size. Not pleased with the color white. Definitely not white, but the side of the sole is very white. My replacement shoes are the exact same off white color with the very white side sole. Shoes are comfortable.

Very sturdy, great leather. Lots of padding inside. Fits just like my previous Brooks Addiction running shoes except more snug due to cushy lining.

I liked the shoe, however, it was too narrow at the toe box for my left foot. My foot was injured and I have constant swelling and pain. Otherwise the shoe was fine.

This shoe felt awesome. Had great arch support. However, all my friends & family made fun of them because they look like old lady shoes.

I've had this shoe before. It is really great for walking and just general wear. Had plantar fasciitis in the past and the arch in this shoe gives great support. No more sore feet!! Bring on the happy face!!

I have used the Addiction Walker two times before and love them. They were recommended by my orthopedic doctor and now I am Addicted to them. I just turned 85 and my foot comfort is very important to me.

Zappos is just the best! They endured order after order until I could finally find a shoe. New Balance discontinued a shoe I had worn for 20 years. NB were of no help in finding a replacement shoe for my difficult foot. It seems that this company no longer values customers. I know I am one of many that have been handed this problem. Zappos were up to the task, worked & worked to find a substitute shoe & Brooks is the company that makes it. Great shoe & Zappos gets the credit for making it happen. Kudos to Zappos!

These shoes are fantastic! I was skeptical when I read the reviews and I wasn't sure I liked the style but they fit my hard to fit feet very well! They are comfortable and have helped ease some of my back, leg and foot pain. I will not hesitate the next time.

I have over pronation on one foot. I have been to foot doctors that want to do surgery and fuse the foot, then I was told about Brooks shoes for pronation. I purchased from Zappos.com. First of all I received my shoes in just a couple days, that was great. The Brooks Addiction walker is wonderful, I am so pleased I recommend it highly. I look forward to purchasing more so to have more colors. I can't see myself wearing any other brand from now on.

Excellent shoes for support and balance. After a major ankle fracture these are the only shoes I can wear for any length of time. I only wish they were a little more colorful than white, tan or black. And kuddos to Zappos, you're company is amazing.
