The shoes were exactly what my husband wanted. However, it took 3 pairs to get one that wasn't worn (and I mean well-worn and very clearly not new--what was ZAPPOS thinking that this level of shoe went out?? The second pair had the rubber toe piece peeling off and the third was finally new, with all parts intact. While Zappos was true to getting it right, it took me a lot of time to call them, explain it etc. I was really surprised about them sending me a pair of worn shoes...

Recommended by orthotic technician, width fittings are great for obtaining comfort. Quality product this is my sixth pair so must be good. Minor niggle is that the front sole peels a little, I superglue them back. Can't get Velcro in my fitting.

I have been buying Brooks shoes for at least 10 years and I love them. So WHY are they now coming with laces that are too short? How much can they be saving on these terrible laces? So stupid.

Disappointed to see these are now Imported. Feels a bit tight for 4E width. Shoestrings are not the same length - the right one being way short. I guess it will take some time to see if they hold up and have the comfort of the last pair.

This is the 4th day I'm wearing these shoes and I still haven't made up my mind whether to keep them or send them back. They are good looking shoes, quite a bit longer and noticeably narrower than marked. The toe box is not generous, so that when I stride the joint at the base of my big toe feels pinched. I'm hoping that a week's break-in might help. Otherwise, it's back to Zappos!

The Addiction Walker shoes are very comfortable. The soles are well cushioned. They are what Rockport shoes used to be like.

I love the look of these shoes and the fact that the leather is so nice, but I almost sent them back because they seemed too narrow. Before I had a chance to do that, I found that I really needed something to wear with thin socks, so I gave them another try. As long as I don't tighten the laces above the arch, they're are fine. I really like the foot bed - very comfortable.

I was having issues with a nerve problem in my big toe and every shoe I had was hurting. These have been great and allowed me to walk all day during a european trip. The really thick sole is the only big drawback.

The seem sturdy. They have good arch support. I have pretty flat feet and that makes the arch support in the shoe feel slightly uncomfortable, but the shoe is helping my Plantar Fascists.

My third pair of these. They lose spring after no more than a year, which might be normal. I'd like to know the date of manufacture before buying. What is Zappo's policy on this? Compared w last pair, laces are almost too short, after proper tightening. Leather seems to be lower quality. Comfort still good. I suppose the last has not changed.

I have very narrow feet, and nearly flat. I needed a shoe that supported my feet all around. These are probably some of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. I wear them nearly every day, and they are very durable.

I wear size 12.5 which can't be found in stores. I found Brooks Addiction Walkers to be spot on. I wore them for about 3 weeks straight and they haven't come apart like some other brands in the past. So we'll see how they stand up over time. I haven't found them any more or less comfortable than any other shoe I've ever bought. Nothing amazing!

If you need comfortable shoes - look no further. I have flat feet and over the last few years have had much difficulty finding shoes that fit (in my late 50's). I use custom orthotics and am on my feet at work 12-14 hours per day. These are amazing! It is like walking on a cloud - yet with excellent support. I have bought a second pair, as they are good looking enough to use as casual shoes. My only complaint is that they are not the easiest to lace up - sometimes that is a bit of a struggle.

The Brooks Addiction Walker is a well supported shoe that provides stability in walking. The insert is inadequate. If you are willing to purchase an custom orthodontic insert from a certified orthotist, you will have an excellent fitted supportive shoe.

My foot and ankle pain has gone away since I started wearing Brooks. Podiatrist recommended. Fitted at a specialty shop, now wearing Brooks 1.5 sizes larger than my other shoes. Not quite dressy enough for the office, but they are the best I could find. Need office-suitable styles!

A comfortable shoe. I ordered a narrow width as I had worn a b width in the past and this shoe actually had that size option. It might be a little too narrow but it seems to be fitting well. Arch support is good and I have high arches so the arch support be better than moderate.

Nice shoes! Really good looking, and I can wear them to work no problem. There isn't much arch support, but they are still really comfortable.

I need an excellent shoe. I'm 6'3 and 240lbs. I walk 4-5 miles 4-5 times a week for stay in motion. No metabolic syndrome for me! Given my weight and distances, a poorly made shoe makes my knees hurt right away... I've to 20-30 miles on these shoes already and no knee pain. Unlike the pair of Rockports I just bought and donated after one walk!

I have been buying these sneakers for the past few years and have noticed that the widths have changed; was able to fit into a EE width at first that had to go to a 4E and now a 4E no longer fits. The width of the sneaker has changed over the past few years. Its too bad because I really loved the shoe.

These are good shoes that are very comfortable. They are also light and gives good foot support. I always replace the inserts with a higher quality orthotic insert. That goes for all shoes, as this is a area that the companies skimp on.

Overall I find this a comfortable walking shoe. Since the upper is completely leather it will be warm in hot climates. The shoe size seems a little small, especially in the width, which I think is partly due to the front of the shoe narrowing.

These shoes fit small, and narrow. Order 1/2 size up, and a width up too. Toe box is narrow. I bought these shoes last year because of my flat feet, and plantar fascitis. I usually buy a size 10ee in a new balance shoe so I ordered the same in this. At first I thought they were okay, but then as I walked I noticed that they fit a bit snug. Big mistake for not changing them for a 1/2 size bigger, and wider. After wearing them for just 8 months, the insole went flat. They are comfortable if you buy the right size, so I will buy them again in a 10.5 eeee.

After a month, the shoe has been broken in and starting to feel more comfortable. It's a heavy shoe which has taken a while to get used to after my New Balance 511's, but it seems well made and looks like it will hold up well. It has a different feel than the NB's, with the shoe higher in the heel.

Large number of lacing holes makes them time-consuming to take on and off, but doesn't improve the fit.

I advise the purchaser to pay close attention to the weight of the item. They were heavier than I expected. They weren't as comfortable on one of my feet than the other. I don't know why but I'll continue to wear them. The product seems to be well made and I expect a period of long wear from them. Maybe that's why they are heavy.
