Very cute and comfortable, but based on the horrible off-gassing out of the box & tendency for color to chip off, perhaps not actually patent leather? I can't recommend these shoes unless you want your co-workers to say, "wow, what's that awful smell?" & know that it's your shoes!

Some of the reviews were right, these pairs aren't really good at all...workmanship is poor and the smell, yes, many mentioned about the smell and it's bad...it's not comfortable either....wow, I cannot even found one good thing about this shoes. Luckily for me, Zappos is great with return and service! Sending them back, no doubt.

Not worth it -
I got the black leather shoes one year ago. After the first month of wear, the toes and heals had little scraps in the leather and looked like they were peeling. Also, the stitching in the heal rubs blisters on both feet. I have had them refinished, so they are wearable, but my feet ache at the end of the day. The shoes seem very poor quality to me.

Really wanted to like this shoe because of all the good reviews and the style is cute, but. Firstly the shoes came quickly, but had a really horrible plasticky-industrial glue smell. Then I only wore them a couple times when the button became scuffed on both shoes. Then I just noticed that they are scuffed and the "leather" is wrecked around the toe area. And I've only had them for 2 months and only worn them 10 times. Also one of the heels became loose. These shoes are worth only about $5, they don't seem to be leather even though they claim they are and they are extremely cheap. The price is way too much for these flimsy shoes. I've had real leather shoes that have lasted 10+ years. They also gave me blisters on my heel. Padding in the toebed is okay, though, but these shoes are falling apart.
