I first purchased these in black leather and I loved them. They are comfy but cute, and have a nice, wide toe box without looking clunky. So, I ordered them in purple patent leather. They LOOK super cute, but 1) they smell TERRIBLE, like tar or asphalt, even after allowing them to air out for a couple of weeks, and 2) they fit entirely differently and are very stiff and uncomfortable. If I were rating only the black leather, I would have given it five stars across the board. But the inconsistency in sizing and horrible smell of the patent leather are very disappointing.

Ahhh, too bad. I was so encouraged by the other reviews that I gave "Ginger" a shot. No dice. I think it's cute, in a little-girlish way, but the fit is way off. I wear an 11M, and have flat feet and a narrow heel. These are nice and low, but far wider than a medium-width should be. There is no arch support, so if you pronate, forget it. And while there's all kinds of toe room width-wise, my toes were jammed against the end. They're at least 1/2 (maybe a full) size too small. So! If you have widish feet, love toe-room, and need a low heel, order up a size and get these babies!

These shoes are NOT comfortable! The fit is way too tight in the toes--I probably could have used a full size larger for the toes...but then it would have been too loose in the heel. The first time I wore the shoes they were painful and I only lasted few hours. But later, after wearing them around the house with heavy socks, they have stretched out a good bit. Adding to their lack of comfort, the ball of the foot is not well padded, and at the heel there is a pressure spot, rather than an even distribution of weight. They also have a wobbly, unsupported feel to them. I would have sent them back, but it's so hard to find a cute shoe with a moderate heel so I really wanted to give them a go. The shoe is cute and feminine. It makes my feet look smaller than normal--if you have feet you'd like to "shrink" visually, this is the shoe for you! The quality of the shoe does not appear to be particularly good. They look nice now but are the sort of shoes that will wear out quickly with repeated use. They will be a cute shoe for wearing with a dress, but not the go-to shoe I had hoped they would be. Ok, but not great.

I wore these as the mother of the groom in a wedding. I loved the purple suede color that went beautifully with my lace dress. The kitten heel was the perfect height for photos even with shorter relatives. The purple suede version of the shoe must be the one people were reporting for the smell. It was awful! After airing them for a week with no luck, two days before we left, I wrapped each shoe in a white linen handkerchief soaked in Febreze and then put each of shoe and handkerchief in a large Ziploc bag. I swapped out fresh Febreze-soaked handkerchiefs in the Ziplocs the day we left. The day of the wedding they were much better - at least my relatives didn't asphyxiate from my shoes. I would not have gone to this much trouble if the shoes didn't have the exact right heel height, a very comfortable little inner sole, the adorable little button sides, and a color that went so perfectly with my aubergine dress.

These shoes are really cute but I wore them at a wedding and was so uncomfortable. Had to stand a lot and they really hurt my toes. I will wear them again but only when I don't have to stand to much. They are cute but I would not recommend them to anyone.

Cute but uncomfortable. I needed low-heeled Mary Janes and these looked perfect. However, they were uncomfortable. The width and length were OK. But the toe area seemed to be too "low" because my toes were scrunched. I ended up taking them off after a few hours of wearing them.

The shoe is very comfortable and the color is a pretty shade of purple. However, there is a horrible chemical odor. It hits you the minute you open the box. I put them on anyway today hoping it will go away. If not I will definitely have to return them.

I needed a pair of gold low healed shoes for a wedding. These were the only ones available. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable they were, but they are very wide so would not be good for many people.

I bought this shoe because many people thought it very comfortable. It seemed so to me as well. The toe was not cramped like many dress shoes. However, the minute I put it on I could tell the heel would not fit. It slipped off and on as I walked and there is not way to tighten the strap to help with this issue. I realize that I must have a narrow heel or something of the sort because all of my shoes have straps or ways of holding them on securely! Oh, well, live and learn. If you have a narrower heel or have my "problem" with looser shoes, please consider a different shoe than this one.

They look super cute, but they really are not comfortable. The material is too rigid and digs in. My pair had the chemical smell that other reviewers mentioned. Also - depending on the lighting, the grey can look rather olive green - it is a nice color, but not if you do not want it.

Bummed! I got these because I have to wear orthotic and they seemed perfect: wide, flat-ish with a strap. I didn't feel an appreciable length difference between the 8.5W and 9W and the width was fine. What wasn't fine was the toe box area. The toe box was too flat or something. It's like my toes are too "tall". Back they go.

Cute, basic mary jane with a stacked kitten heel. They would be pretty comfortable, but they really dig into the corners at the ends of my toes, but that just might be my feet. I rarely wear such classically girly shoes.

These are totally cute, but super squeaky shoes. I will have to return them, because the squeak has not gone away after a few wears.

The shoe did have a weird odor, but that was not the main problem. The leather is very stiff and digs into the side of my foot. The strap also has very little give and seemed like it would not be comfortable to walk in for long. They are going back.

I felt the toe on these shoes was oddly angled, so that even when there was room in the heel, my toes felt squished. I originally ordered my usual size, then a half size down. Even a half size down, where my feet fit the length well, the strap across the top was pointlessly loose and the toe was uncomfortable. So sad, since I've been looking for a pair of low heels like these!

I didn't feel that this shoe looked good on my foot. I have a wide foot and the rounded toe box just made it look wider I think. Plus, it showed so much of my toe cleavage and it just didn't look good. It is a very dull looking leather.

Really like the look and the heel height, but it fits a little loosely in the heel, so when I step, my heel comes out of it. May try stick on pads inside the shoe to make it fit better, but they're not quite perfect. I'm a little sad.

I thought these would be cute on me but I have a wide foot, and I should've know this style would just accentuate that. Back they go! Also, i think the black/tan trim version would look cuter if the black wasnt a flat color.

These are a very cute purple color and a nice style, but these shoes are a little too narrow for me. I have wide feet and can sometimes get away with regular width shoes - but not in this case. Be warned: what the other reviewers say about the chemical smell is true. It is overwhelming when you open the box. I did not keep the shoes long enough to know if it wears off.

Cute, but the patent finish wasn't even on the shoe, resulting in some areas looking dull. Also, the "red" color depicted is way more salmon than what it actually arrives as. There is a strong chemical odor from the shoes but I assume it will dissipate in a few days. Going back in the meantime.

I wear a size 10 shoe. I would need a 10.5 in this. I kept the 10, because I needed them for an outfit the next day. I regret doing this. I have a blister now. I purchased the navy patent leather. It has a VERY strong odor. Even out of the box for a week, these shoes still retain the "plastic" scent. When I wore them to work, I could smell it all day. Also, when I walked, the shoes squeaked. The strap and the button rub, making a "crick crick crick" sound when you walk. It was embarrassing.

I am sending this back because it's too short (but nice width) and I need a half size larger. Also, the red is not a primary red as pictured but between a burgundy and a primary red.

I guess I'm in the minority when I say so not cute. Made me feel like an old lady. Seemed to be made fine, but not hinting at chic or even conservative-office-stylish in any way.
