I was really surprised as this item is supposed to have a 16 inch circumference (per Zappos' description). It fit a lot tighter than my Frye Melissa Wide which is supposed to have a 15.5" circumference. Is it possible that I received a Frye Melissa Tall which is supposed to be the slim version (15" circumference) of the Paige instead? I was going back and forth between these boots and the Jenna zip-ups (because of light color options and low heels). I loved these boots. I mean, genuine love (beautiful, works with everything, low heel, color is unique and style is cool). However, I couldn't try these lovelies on because I have high arches. I now know Frye slip-ons do not work for me because of these dang high arches. If they ever make these with a side zip...I'll be the first to purchase them! My best friend tried these on when I had them at home (low arches but still a great person!) and she said they were instantly comfortable.

I love the boot, but I got caught in the rain and within 5 minutes my socks were soaked through. I have other boots that aren't rain boots that do not absorb water like this. I think I want to return them because of this.

Initially I loved these boots when they arrived. That is until the smell of the leather drove me to return them. Additionally, I found them very hard to pull on. If you have a high instep I would seriously think about a different boot. I wanted to keep them but they are going back.

the left boot fits... the right boot does not go over my ankle... bottom of boot sole states its made in Mexico am returning this faulty product from Frye....VERY DISAPPOINTED

Beautiful boot... if only I could get them on my feet. I was completely unable to get these boots on my feet even after scrounging around to find a shoe horn. I have a completely normal foot. My arches aren't high at all, and my feet aren't wide. Very sad they have to go back.

I love the look of these...I just can't get them on. My foot will not slide into the heel...there's just no leverage at that 90 degree angle. Other gals reviews said they were hard to get on. For me, impossible, even with a thin sock or hose. I have to return these. Bummer! I'm a true size 8. I have big calves and they even fit my calf. What the hay!??

The boots look really nice and are made in great quality. However, it is so hard to put them on and even harder to take them off. I will have to return them.

I couldn't even try this beautiful boot on! The ankle area is so tight/small, my foot couldn't go into the bottom of the boot. It would have been extremely beneficial to put in a zipper. Beautiful boot, but sad that they are not made easier to get on/off

Beautiful boot, but I'm not sure how these sell! I purchased these in a size 8 (I'm a solid, never an 8 1/2) and I couldn't get my foot into these boots. I do not have a wide foot - it's fairly slim, but I decided to return them and go up a size. I bought the 8 1/2 and could barely get my food into the boot and then the fit was slightly too big. I don't recommend these at all.

I ordered these last spring for the winter (In San Diego that is rare!) finally put them on in July to test them out at home after we moved and they felt too big. Zappos was nice enough to send me the size 6 but when I got it they were super tight. I called zappos and they said they did not stretch a lot so I kept the 6½. After wearing them three times I called Zappos to tell them they stretched almost to a size too big and felt really uncomfortable. They said they could not do anything because I wore them. It is not my fault they told me the wrong information to begin with. After being a faithful customer and my husband buys his chef shoes here all the time I am done. So much for great customer service.

So sad to have to return these beautiful boots. I am thin with narrow feet and high arches/insteps. Couldn't even get them on (and I am always prepared to struggle a bit with a new boot - this boot just wasn't on my foot). I wish they made them with a zip.

I went up a half size larger to get them on easier. I can see where if you have a high arch these wouldn’t work. Also they are wider in the shaft than most Frye boots, but I wouldn’t consider them wide calf boots. They worked for me but they are not that much wider.

This boot is beautiful and the leather is amazing, the problem I had was that they are only good for a particular "look". They're not really for a work/dress look, they're more like a riding boot and it looks like it. They would be perfect with jeans, but that is about it. Nice wide calf circumference.

Beautiful color!! I was a little hesitant with redwood but it’s rich and gorgeous! True to size

I have a “larger” calf - not large enough for wide calf boots, but most standard boots are too tight. These were just right! They are a little snug at the top of the boot, but since they are real leather, I expect them to stretch a little. I love that they don’t have any metal - so they are always in style and can go with gold or silver.

Really pretty boots, but despite being designed for wide calves, they didn’t fit mine. Had to send them back

I loved the leather and look of this boot but I have a high instep and was not confident that the boot would break in enough. I did take note of other reviewers comments about working through it but ultimately thought it was too risky for the price. For those concerned about the calf circumference: on the Frye's website it said they were 16" but I measured the inside circumference and it's 15". I don't know why manufacturers think the outside width is helpful but I've learned to subtract about an inch. Hope that helps.
