These are very comfortable, stylish, run half size larger, well made. The sole might be a bit slippery on a rainy day. It's not easy to take them off; I ask my husband to pull them. If you are 8.5 or more, this kind of style, with the border around the shoe, could make your feet look larger, but not these shoes. These are the best!

I love these boots. I've been looking for the perfect boot for ever and I finally found them! I get compliments on them everywhere I go, even from men (who rarely ever notice what shoes a woman wears!). I wear them with leggings, jeans, even dresses and they always look hot! I recently wore them for the first time expecting them to pinch or hurt or rub against the heel which is what I get with most new shoes. These didn't hurt a bit. So comfortable. Maybe slightly bigger than actual size. I usually wear a 9.5 and the 9 fits me even with a thick sock. The leather is super soft, fits easily over my calf and into jeans (and I have a pretty big calf). Love the color (I got the tan ones). I hope they do okay in the snow and rain, for this price I expect them to, but that remains to be seen.

I usually have a hard time finding a tall boot that fits over my calves; however, after seeing these featured on the Today Show, I thought I would order them and give 'em a try. I was so excited when I received them today and had absolutely no problem fitting them over a jean. The size seems to be true to size, especially with a light sock on with them. Frye never disappoints!

Love these boots! They are super comfortable and look like authentic riding boots. They are very tall and hit right under my knee (but I am only 5'2").

Let's put it this way, I was coming home for a long vacation and these boots were waiting for me in their package, and I was almost as excited to see them as I was to see my boyfriend (who I think suspected that!). Anyway, they absolutely did not disappoint. They are more utilitarian and casual than sleek; I wouldn't wear them with a diamond necklace, or if I was going for a really tailored, fancy look. I'm a student and they are perfect for my casual wardrobe. The leather is so gorgeous and the detailing makes them look awesome with tucked in jeans and tights (I actually blew a ton of money on new tights purely to wear with my new boots). I think the little cut out at the back of the boot is a really cute detail and makes for a great back view. I wear a size 8.5, debated going a half size down because of all the reviews, but ended up playing it safe and getting an 8.5 and it fits perfectly. I have wider calves (I was in Europe recently and was so upset I couldn't get a gorgeous pair of leather boots there because I couldn't fit my calves in any of them), but these fit perfectly. They are a great choice for us wider-calved gals. I'm 5'9", have long legs, and these come up to just below my knee. The soles are a little slippery; I nearly toppled the very first time I wore them and it rained. I'd also recommend spraying them with waterproof leather spray to protect this fairly large investment. All in all, a gorgeous boot and perfect for someone with a more casual lifestyle. This was my first Zappos purchase and I was amazed that they got the boots here in about 24 hours, not sure how they do that, but it was by far the best service I've ever had with online ordering.

These boots are awesome; they fit true to size and are very comfortable. I bought them for my equestrian classes but they're fashionable enough to be worn with my regular clothes. The leather is soft, yet sturdy, and you have a lot of room around the calves for those of us girls with slighter fuller legs!

These boots are beautiful and excellent. Every single time I wear them I get compliments, and these boots are definitely meant to last forever. I normally wear a size 8, but i ordered a half size down and got a 7.5. They are a little tough to get on at first, but my foot fits perfectly inside. I definitely recommend this boot. Frye is awesome.

Love these boots. Awesome quality and you can smell the leather before you open the box. All the reviews boasted about the boots being a little large/wide but I cannot agree. Because of these reviews, I ordered my normal size thinking they'd still be a little roomy around the toe area. Not the case! I'm returning to go a full size bigger! Do NOT order your normal size. Go at least a half size larger. Trust me.

I bought these a few weeks ago and haven't stopped wearing them since. Absolutely love the look and feel. Such quality in them that I was looking for. I would say the calf is a little wide for my skinny calves but other than that perfection. And the more dinged up they get the better they look!

This is a beautiful boot, as all frye boots are. I purchased in grey, and but wish I got it is black so I had more opportunities to wear them!

These are great looking boots! Snug fit new but the leather worked in nicely with wear. A little tight across the toe as I have a wide foot. Soles are smooth leather which can be a little slippery until scuffed.

These are a little tight. I am wearing around the house trying to stretch out. They are more comfortable each time I put them on. By the time fall gets here, I should have them broke in just right. My foot is a little wide and I do have a larger calf. Fits great around the calf.
