Loving these boots. I had purchased a pair of Melissa Button boots a few years back, so was sold to the Frye brand at that point. I've been eyeing the Paige Tall boots for a while now, and was so excited to see them on sale. I got the slate antique color and it was the best choice. They took less than one day to break in and are extremely comfortable. I am only 5'2" so the top of the boot hits higher than normal - I'm waiting for them to slouch like my Melissa Buttons have to bring the top of the boot down a bit. The soles are significantly thinner compared to my Melissa Buttons, so anticipating that the soles on this may have to be replaced sooner depending on wear and tear. Overall a great boot and worth every penny!

I've been in the market for a pair of grey boots for awhile and these were just the ticket. I also have bigger calves, and have gone with wide-calf Frye boots in the past, but these are perfect in the regular and I can wear them tucked into jeans no problem. The grey color is even nicer in person and so versatile. If I had one complaint, it's that they seem to run a bit big, but since I'm usually between a 7.5 and 8, I maybe should have gone with the 7.5. I typically wear high boots only in cooler weather with socks though, so the 8 will be fine. They are comfortable and will be even more so when they break in further.

I've been pining for a pair of Frye boots for years now, but my calves are just a bit too large around for most of the styles (but too small for most wide calf styles in other brands!) These were a splurge but totally worth it. I've gotten tons of compliments on them. They do feel really tight when I'm trying to yank them onto my legs, but once I have them on they're really comfortable. I ordered a half size up from what I usually get, because I tend to wear thick socks with boots. They are pretty slippery on the bottom for the first few days, so you might want to score them or put on a rubber sole if you live in an icy place! These were a fantastic investment.

Overall I absolutely LOVE this boot. They are high quality and the leather is amazing. I have a wide calf and bought these solely based on all the reviews. My calf can get up to 17" depending how hard I hit the gym so the calf space was a must. They are a little snug but I haven't worn them much, and like some of the other reviews I had trouble getting my foot through the bend in the boot. After some persistence i was able to get them in and it should get easier as they stretch. One thing I didn't see in the reviews are that these are a leather sole which can make it a little slippery when walking on certain surfaces, but that is easy to fix :) as a whole these are so stylish and beautiful and I'm so happy with my purchase!

I am obsessed with the brand frye. I have multiple pairs of frye boots. I have ordered 3 pair from zappos! I wear a size 8 and that's what size I order. They are true to size and are very comfortable. These are my most comfy pair since there isn't a heel. Worth every penny. Great quality boot.

Absolutely love these boots! Very soft leather (black smooth) and super comfortable right out of the box. No breaking in period for me. I also have the Veronica slouch Frye boot and the Paige is much more comfortable in my opinion. I wear a size 9 with rather large calves measuring 15.75. I have plenty of space to tuck jeans in with a lil room to spare. I did have a hard time getting them off the first few wears but that's gotten much easier. Again, love this pair of boots and as always Zappos rocks!!

I've been eyeing these boots for over a year and finally took the plunge. After reading many reviews I was concerned the boot shaft would be too wide, or I'd be unable to get my foot into the boot or that the quality simply wouldn't justify the price tag. Thus far, only a few days into owning these boots, I have no complaints. The slate color, is a nice shade of brown and the 7.5 boot on my petite height and frame doesn't not look too wide. If you have the spare funds for this sort of purchase I highly recommend these boots!

I got the grey ice wash color and they are beautiful. They go with so many different things and colors that made this a great purchase. I have gotten so many compliments already and they are very comfortable. I love these classic boots!

I'm a big fan of Frye boots. I was concerned after reading other reviews that my high arch might be problematic, but even though it is a bit snug pulling them on, they work fine. All Frye boots are the best in quality. I'm really hard on my boots and theirs seem to last forever. This style seems to work with everything in my closet. I liked the dark brown and slate colors and discovered the savings by choosing slate. I'm totally happy with them. They are brown, not reddish brown which I think makes them even more versatile. The first time I put them on I had to work at a trade show for 11hours on my feet. At the end of the day, my feet were still happy! So was I!

These are a pretty boot and they fit me. I wear a 7.5 and the 8 allowed me to get my foot in. I wore them for a day and a half around my house thinking they would stretch a bit in the calf. They didn't give at all. I could wear them with just leggings but not pants tucked in. For the money, I want to be able to tuck skinny jeans in. Sad because they are beautiful boots. These are the widest wide calf ones that I have found in Frye that work. The Melissa inside zip extended have been the only ones that fit with jeans.

Love these boots!!! I saw a coworker wearing a pair and thought they were so cute. I just got my own pair and wasn't disappointed. They are cute and comfortable! Here are my stats: I'm 5'2" and wear size 7. The boots fit me very comfortably. Will probably get another pair, different color.

I have a closet full of Frye's but needed a Low Heel boot with NO Zippers....Was glad to see Paige Tall in Black return this year and was well worth the wait! Great investment! I have high arches and needed a half size bigger to get on, but put an insert in and I'm good to go! Beautiful Leather! LOVE Zappos!!!

This is a gorgeous boot. My feet are wider in the front and narrower in the heel, and my calves are 15 1/2". These boots are loose on my heels and calves. I am returning the size 9 and re-ordering a 9.5 because the toe was slightly short and tight for me. I own another pair of Frye boots, a short pair, which I LOVE and find very comfortable in size 9. I'm hopeful that with the 9.5 in these boots I'll be able to wear a thick enough sock to make the looseness in the heel be a non-issue. I'm happy that they're loose on the calf -- I'll be able to wear them with jeans tucked in but they're not too sloppy looking when just worn with tights. I really appreciate Zappos' free shipping and returns policy! Otherwise I would not risk buying boots or shoes online.

I bought the Paige Tall Riding boots in Grey 3 years ago. I absolutely love them. They have conformed perfectly to my feel and the leather still feels like butter! They have survived 3 MN winters and are still going strong.

After 2 tries at the size and color I now have a beautiful pair of boots! Zappos return policy and customer service was fabulous. I had 3 boxes of Frye boots to return and as Platinum rewards member, they sent the UPS truck to my house for the return pick up. It couldn't have been better. Although the reviews recommended sizing dowm=n, I found the size 7 the better fit when my standard shoe size is 7. I have worn them all day and was comfortable all day. I am thrilled!

These are beautiful knee high boots with soft leather, very sleek. Unfortunately, they are a bit too difficult to get on and off. For the money, they would have to be perfect in every way. But for those that don't mind the tugging and pulling, these will be gorgeous boots.

I adore these boots. I've had them for about a year now and love them more then when I first got them. When I first got them the left boot was difficult to get on. It was a bit of a workout actually. My foot would get stuck at the point were the ankle meets the shaft of the boot. The right foot slid on with no problem and both feet fit perfectly once on. The difficulty has decreased substantially. It's still not as easy as the right but it isn't a struggle at all. I just ordered the same boots in the short length because I love them so much. Two years in a row this is my early xmas gift to myself.

These are iconic riding boots! So stylish and polished. The calf is not generous, but they do stretch out some. They are comfortable and pretty easy to put on and take off, compared to other boots without zippers.

I got these in size 9.5 to make sure they could accommodate a heavier sock as the weather gets colder. I normally wear a 9 or 9.5 in shoes, sometimes a 10 in boot. They are comfortable and the cognac shine color is versatile. These boots really spark joy for me and I have high hopes they will last for years to come. A little snug pulling on and off, but it is a pull on boot. Remember to buy some kind of leather conditioning. Frye offers one on here for $10.

I own several pairs of Frye boots for the simple reason that they live up to their reputation of being well-made and timeless. These boots look great with wear-to-work dresses and skirts as well as blue jeans on the weekend. When buying boots, I don't consider anything but Frye!

Fantastic color, great fit for even "large" calves, mine measure 15". I purchased a second pair after owning my original for 5 years and resole-ing them for ice (I live in Bozeman MT). They wear well and my old ones still look pretty good, I just wanted a "dress up" pair that I intend to not wear out in the rain/sleet/ice. The color on these boots is mottled gray, but I like how it gives them a lived-in look right out of the box. They look great with skinny jeans, cords, leggings. I use a boot jack to get them on and off easily. The pull tabs are great for getting them on. I was concerned when I first tried them on as it was kind of a tight angle getting my foot down to the footbed, but I'm glad I persevered, as these are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I love them - hope you feel the same when yours arrive!

I am usually a 9 or 9.5. A 9.5 works swell with a basic cotton or heavy sock. If I was going for a think sock I would choose a 9. People are not kidding, these boots are legit. I'm almost 5'9 and the boots hit a little below my knee. It does pull my sock off when retrieving my foot from the boot, but people say that issue dissipates with time. It's not actually an 'issue' either. I feel I have skinny calf as a long and lean girl and this is the first time I can wear a wider topped boot without looking funny. My toes do not feel crowded in the front like a lot of narrow shoes make them feel.
