These are great shoes for hiking! They are very comfortable and well made. The service from Zappos was good too!

I got these for my son. He is in a size 16 Wide. Not easy to find shoes for him. He has knee pain and said they really helped. From the first day he felt better! He really likes the look, style, and comfort.

I am a big Keens fan. I do a lot of hiking and just got back from Italy. I took a new pair with me, just out of the box and did 12 miles per day for seven days in the Dolomite Mountains. I did not have any trouble at all. My feet felt great!

Not the most conventional shoe out there, but top a great shoe! These tend to run wide which is why I've bought two pairs of Keens in the past year. Well built, stylish (says me) and feel good right out of the box. I wore them to work on a couple of Fridays to break them in which probably wasn't necessary but got them out on a trail last Wednesday. Walked the Silver Falls/Grove of Patriarchs trail on the south side of Mt. Rainier with out issue. They performed well - good fit, good traction and cool. Excellent hike and these shoes were a big part of it.

Like everyone else has already said these have a roomy toe box and are comfortable shoes. The only negative was that the tongue is gusseted and scrunches up when laced up. Besides that these are great shoes.

I purchased these just before hiking/walking in Yellowstone National Park. They are quite comfortable, and have plenty of room to liberate your toes -- Keen's trademark. I was disappointed with the last pair of Keen's that I had; because the heels wore out more quickly than I anticipated. I asked a Keen representative about repairing them, but I was told "no can do". These have a great tread on the bottom. The sole squeaked as I walked along the synthetic boardwalks. So if you're intending to sneak up on someone walking the boardwalks (around the geysers) at Yellowstone, these won't work. Other than that, they are great shoes. Simple to put on and to remove.

These are the best shoes and are my second pair in four years, they seriously last forever. I personally wear the for construction and am I on my feet all day. These are the only shoes that can keep up with me. Totally worth the price and suggest them to my friends and co-workers. Order a size larger than usual!

I am a Keen loyalist as it is a fit that works for me. They provide nice arch support and a very cushy foot bed. I wear them from the farm to the mountains and in the garden too. I wear them until they disintegrate always having the good pair available for the hikes and the older pairs ready to work in the garden. I like the space in the front of the shoe for the toes to wiggle, and still feel the support on the sides with no slippage in the heel.

These are the second pair of Keen brand shoes we have purchased. Good investment for long-term wearing. We choose Zappos for the price and the free shipping and return policy. Thanks for caring about the customer.

This is the second pair of Keen Voyageurs I've gotten from Zappos. I love them. They're rugged. They take no breaking-in. I've never had a blister. They're well ventilated for hiking in warm weather, but they keep my feet dry walking in tall wet grass. There is plenty of toe room to prevent jamming on downhills. They feel true to size, but then I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size larger (11) than my normal shoe size (10), and that has paid off in comfort. I highly recommend this hiking boot.

Awesome shoes. Turning 60 next week so scheduled a backpacking trip and bought these for the trip since my trail runners were worn. Ordered Monday night and arrived by noon Wed. Immediately took a 4 mile walk in under an hour in 85 degree temp. No blisters, no pain like most shoe break-ins. Thanks Zappos. You guys rock!

After years of wearing Merrill athletic/hiking shoes, I decided to go with Keen because of the larger toe-box. Because I was a new customer with Zappos I got VIP status and to my surprise the shoes arrived one day after I ordered them as promised. The shoes are perfect, but even more perfect is the treatment I got from the customer service rep in Las Vegas. I have been Zappos and will continue to put Zappos at the top of my list for future needs.

Great shoe - bought two pair they were so comfortable. Initially was concerned because they didn't have gel or air in the heel, but turn out to be one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. Like to see this in a quick lace. Great if you prefer wider sizes.

Big fan of these shoes. I have no foot pain or fatigue after wearing them for 10 hours of being on my feet. They're nice and sturdy. I don't have any problems with them staying as tight as I want, but they do come untied at least once while I wear them. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear.

Best shoe I have ever owned! I ordered this shoe in 7.5D (my normal size) and it felt too tight. The Zappos agent was very helpful and made it very easy to return it for a larger size 8D. I had the new size shoe in 3 days! They were sent to me even before I had the chance to return the first pair! Phenomenal! No questions, no extra charge! You can't beat that service! The first day I put this Keen Voyageur shoe on, I walked for 5 miles. The second day I walked for about 10 miles, and for the last 3 days at least 10 miles a day. There was no need to break them in. Good right out of the box! This shoe is the most comfortable shoe out of the box I have ever owned, bar none! It felt well broken in and like an old friend from the very first minute I put them one. Good support, comfortable cushion and cool because of the mesh. And I have had numerous compliments on how they look. Some reviews said that the laces could not be tied tightly enough, and that they came loose. I did not have that problem since I always "double tie" my laces anyway, like I did for my kids, no way for them to come loose. I cannot praise this shoe highly enough. I highly recommend this shoe, and already have, to half my friends and guys at the gym. Thanks again Zappos, and Keen!

These shoes are a perfect fit and needed no appreciable break-in period. They provide decent traction up and down hill. The toe box is adequate, and did not give me sore toes (even with several miles of steep descent). There was some minor difficulty snugging the laces, otherwise, a great lightweight hiking shoe. I will probably wear these for some backpacking.

Bought these for my husband. He loves them, says they are the most comfortable athletic shoes he has ever worn. No breaking in time and the extra room in the toes are great.

I really like these shoes! I bought them before my trip to Ireland and they were perfect. I used to wear regular tennis shoes and my feet always hurt. These shoes were very comfortable and they also looked nice too! The Zappos website and service is great! I received my shoes in no time and it was exactly what I ordered. I recommend both the shoes and Zappos! Thank you!

The Keen Voyageur's are a good fit and look good too. They are pretty good walking shoes both on the streets and in the woods; I can wear them for hours without any problems.

Second Pair - This is my second pair of Voyagers, great shoe for Colorado. I wear these everyday in snow, rain, and mud, Keen is #1 in my book. Have about 10 pairs ranging from Lake Powell shoes to work shoes.

Finally a light hiker that fits - I have been wearing Merrill light hiking shoes for many years. Although I always liked the light weight and ventilation they never seemed to have enough room in the toe box. On any longer hikes my small toes would ache or become bruised. I put up with this through two pairs of Merrills before thinking I could do better. I decided that I would try the Keen voyageur, since I own two other pairs of Keen shoes and they fit well. I have already put about 50 miles on the Voyageurs and the difference between them and the Merrils is amazing. My foot feels great in them with ample toe room and my foot stays anchored well. I have a medium width foot so I am not hard to fit but with light hiking shoes toe space is everything. I am enjoying my hikes more than ever due to these shoes. The cost is about the same as the Merrill hikers so anyone needing more toe comfort on hikes would do well in buying the Voyageurs.

Comfortable but different from sandals - As a longtime fan of Keen sandals, I bought this for a shoe that would give me a little extra protection hiking through pastures and stuff. First let me say that this is a whole different shoe from my Keen sandals, the sole is thicker and stiffer, and the uppers feel a lot more like a regular running shoe with good ventilation. Wearing these barefoot (like my other Keens) is not real comfortable; the inside is a bit rough. I found that they are extremely comfortable when worn with socks (which I don't do a lot of in Florida). They also don't have the Keen trademark elastic cord for shoelace, these have traditional shoelaces. I do like how easy they are to slip on and off my feet and they work wonderfully as a workout shoe. I also like that the insole doesn't stick to my foot (a problem I've been having with my San Sebastian's). Width is great, perfect for my wide feet, size is perfect at 10.5 for me (with socks on that is). They may be a bit warm for summer in Florida, we'll see!
I'd also recommend:
Keen San Sebastian, Targhee for lighter options.
