A fine shoe, I guess, but the gusseted tongue is really painful. I need a lot of heel stability, so I need to tie my shoes pretty tight. These have actually given my nerve pain because the sides of the tongue dig into the top of my foot. It's excruciating. Terrible design for what would otherwise be a top-notch shoe.

These are the worst pair of Keen's shoes I've ever owned! They were very uncomfortable and it seems the soles wore out faster than normal. The tongue is odd and hard to get used to. The arch support is below average and longer walks result in painful feet! I'll stick with Keen Austins from now on.

Great fit and comfortable bu Zappos, why do you send used shoes out? These were not only relied on previously but they looked like they’d been worn for a month or so by someone. Scuffs, stains, worn tread. Come on Zappos, be better.

Fit is good but the height of the upper around the ankle is just wrong - it cuts into my ankle bone. Just walking around the house tells me that a hike with this show won't end well - they will be returned. I have a pair of Keen low hiking shoes that are terrific but worn out. Unfortunately I can't find any markings that would help me replace it so I'll have to use pictures to find a low shoe that with an upper that doesn't interfere with my ankle.

Have purchased and enjoyed 3 pairs of this shoe, each lasted 4 years before finally wearing the soles bald. Best thing (usually) is they comfortably fit my flat, wide feet PERFECTLY right out of the box, no break-in period necessary. However, gave 1 star for overall and comfort as new pair just purchased were so painful couldn't wear them. They had unexpected heal support layer in the foot bed (beneath the removable insole). There was a 1/2" height difference between heal and arch in foot bed, creating a sort of shelf causing painful pressure on my arches. Previous Voyageurs did not have this shelf (was found in both left and right shoes). Hopefully this is not some new "feature" Keen has added (?!) or they'll lose a loyal customer.

Something is way off with this pair of Keens. I love the Keen brand and always replace my Keens with a new pair. However I wish I never would have bought these. I am unsure if the arch is off or what but they are so uncomfortable, I can't even stand them on my feet while I'm just driving. I can stand them on my feet for about 10 minutes until my feet start throbbing so bad I have to kick these off.

I've actually worn out several pairs of the Keen Voyageurs and always found them to be true to size until the last two pair I purchased. I couldn't find this style early in the Summer and was disappoint hey weren't available, when I found them in September I bought two pair and neither fit like all of the size 10's I had always purchased. The toe box is just two small!

I was surprised at how "small" this shoe felt. I have worn multiple pairs of Keen's for many years yet this was the first that did not fit. Definitely felt to be a size smaller than advertised.

Tried this shoe on in my local Bobs store they fit good. Bought them from Zappo to save money but fit was terrible. Don’t know if Zappo is selling irregular shoes. this is the second pair I’ve bought and returned.

I've owned several pairs of Keens, including the Voyageurs, until they were falling apart after years of hard use, but these are awful. Keen has changed the last to a shorter, wider footbed. My standard 14s were way too short, and even the 15s are too short but also way too wide. Need to find a new brand. Very disappointing.

2016s are narrower See attached photos of "Voyageur" bought in 2015 ("1012218") and 2016 ("1002570") and ruler measuring both widths, with 2016 shoe in back. Outside width of 2016 is more than 2/10" narrower. Feels that way too, inside, across the ball of the foot.

Can't wear these. The left shoe is fine, the right has 2 pressure points on my foot, one on the ball of the foot, one on top where it presses on the bones painfully. Waste of money for me, didn't discover it til I took them on a hike.

These are extremely uncomfortable. I have difficulty understanding the high ratings I saw for this shoe. Although it has nearly all of the things one would expect to find in a nice shoe, it has one *fatal* flaw: the underside of the tongue has two stiff protuberances which dig into the sensitive nerve bundles on the top of my feet. I feel them as soon as I put the shoe on, and continue to feel them until I take the shoes off, feeling none too jolly about them in the interim. I'm at a loss to guess why the makers of this shoe chose to include the two spikes. They do not seem to provide any benefit, so either they resulted from some bloomer of a miscommunication between concept & implementation, or they were actually intended as an instrument of suffering. I will steer clear of this manufacturer in the future.

Sorry to say that these shoes will disappoint. I bought them about one year ago give or take. The sole became unglued in the heel area. I bought them because of the very comfortable toe box. I do have a set of Keen Austins and love them and that is what led me to get the Voyageurs. I needed a shoe for hiking and walking and at first these seemed like a good shoe. They don't have much wear on them and I would never buy any more because of this experience. If I were to go on an extended trek say, the Appalachian Trail or across the Sierras, I do not believe these would last for the entire trek. Thankfully, Zappos came through and is allowing me to return them. They've got my business and I'm buying the replacements from them. Good job Zappos!

Keen has changed the design of the toe box on their shoes. I originally bought Keens because the shoes allowed toes to spread more naturally. The new design noticeably restricts toe spread. (As a side note: Judging by photos on your website it appears that Keen sandals retain the original toe box design that made Keens: a 5 star shoe.) Unless Keen makes the original design available....

I have trouble finding footwear that fits comfortably, and this sneaker continued that trend. The last time I went around trying on sneakers, it took five stores to finally find a size 15 Reebok that fit. Meanwhile, I have two pairs of size 14 Skechers that also fit perfectly. That said, I initially ordered these Keen Voyageurs in 15s and my feet were absolutely swimming in them (note: for the purpose of the stars and size/width reviews, I critiqued the 15s). The only way I could get them to fit was if I wore two pairs of ankle socks under a pair of thick Wigwams. Holding them sole-to-sole against my size 14 Skechers, they appeared to be very close to the same size, yet somehow they felt miles bigger. Maybe it was the width? After returning the 15s, I tried the 14s and they were painfully tight. Holding them sole-to-sole against my size 14 Skechers, they were a good 3/4 inch shorter. I doubt this issue applies to most sizes below 14 since the rest of the reviews seem highly complimentary. But if you have bigger feet, order with caution. Also, take this review with a grain of salt because apparently I have the weirdest feet on the planet and very few shoes fit me comfortably.
