This used to be a reliably wide hiking shoe that we've been ordering for years. Sadly, the toebox is now shorter and narrower than it used to be.

These shoes are super comfortable, but I'm disappointed at how quickly the soles broke apart. Started happening in less than 30 days (I hike about 3 times per week). I loved the feel of them so much that I bought them again, hoping the second pair would last longer. No such luck. Guess I'll have to find another shoe to love.

I buy these because they are about the only day-hiker style shoes that fit my feet - I need a wide forefoot and roomy toe box. That said, the quality has definitely diminished over the years. Every pair I buy now goes through the exact same breakdown process: separation of the glued outer surface on the sole and rapid wear-through of the thin fabric behind the heel. If this happened a year into heavy wear, no problem. 2 months in? That's just garbage. One more comment, and its admittedly trivial... a few years ago, Keen offered numerous color choices within the Voyageur line. Now there's just two: brown and grey/blue. Surely there's got to be a market for something other than that.

The good news: the shoes fit well, nice and wide. They also gripped well. The bad news: when I walked in them, there was uncomfortable pressure on the balls of my feet. I think this was due to the structure of the soles.

KEEN makes an excellent shoe; I wear a 14 men’s shoe and I can always count on KEEN to keep my feet comfortable. I purchased this shoe as an everyday; work, walking and weekend wear play footwear. It’s got excellent support & a good style, so I am very happy with my purchase. I have to hand it to ZAPPOS; the ability to order, try and return all with in a week make shopping for shoes so easy! I can honestly say; Zappos is my go to place for footwear!

It's a good-looking, rugged shoe, but my husband found these too narrow, & the arch didn't conform well to his foot. He tried 2 different sizes.

Keen is an incredible company. Love their stuff. However this model was either not made by them or something funky. This pair only lasted 6 months. Soles wore down, stitches fell apart. I called them and got the runaround.

My husband usually wears a size 13 in most Keen styles, but we were told that this model runs small. I know the women's does. The keen folks said that, too. So we ordered a size 14, but it seemed like 2 sizes too big! So we are going to try the 12 & 13 to see how they fit. Wish they offered 1/2 sizes.

I bought a pair and wore them for about two months. One of the lacing loops came unsewed and then unraveled. Zappos gave me a no-hassle replacement. (Kudos to Zappos!) These were my first Keens. That makes me somewhat suspicious about the quality.

Overall a nice shoe. I didn't have it very long, so can't say much about the construction or durability. They fit very similarly to my Merrill's. They got a little more hotter then the Moab Ventilator. The problem is the material lining is more abrasive then the Moab's and caused blisters on my heel.

I have had three pairs of Keens but all in walking style. I go to Keen for the wide toe box, and the quality has been good so far for this 12 year old company. Most of their light hikers don't the wide front. The Voyageur does have this, but unfortunately both sizes I tried had a narrow mid sole - it cramped my foot. It had the one needed feature, but took away with a narrow mid section. The Keen Utility Detroit comes in a EE, single wide. This is a work shoe/boot that comes without the steel toe, looks like a hiker, and is sold for hiking as well.

Almost lasted a year. First pair came apart after two weeks, Zappos was great on making them good overnighted replacements free with no hassle. Would definitely pay a little extra for that kind of service. Shoes were really comfortable!

Great comfortable shoe that will wear out within 1-3 months. If you hike a lot, then you need to find a different shoe.

Kind of a heavy, loose shoe. I feel like I'm plodding when I wear them. There is a seam/transition in the tongue about halfway up that causes irritation when I lace them up tight, so I have to keep them loose, which exacerbates the klutzy feel of the shoe. I'm getting used to them, but I would not purchase them again.

Can't tie these shoes tight enough. The way the tongue is designed, it is very difficult to snug up the laces at the top of the shoe. In addition, the laces are slippery nylon; can't someone come up with a lace that works? They need constant tightening.

Bought these shoes with high hopes of good support and comfort. The shoes accept an orthotic; however, do not seem to offer much structure for dealing with anything more than average pronation. Within 10 minutes of walking around the office, I had numbness and pain up my legs.

There is a deep notch in the sole on the outside of the shoe. This design feature put pressure on the outside of the foot making the shoe very uncomfortable. The sole is very stiff and sturdy if that's what you are after. Another minor detail is the logo on the shoe tongue. It conflicts with the laces but it could easily be removed.

I had to try 3 sixes and while they were all listed as the “same” size, they weren’t at all the same. They were either way too big or entirely too small. Keens quality seems to have gone downhill quite a bit... major bummer.

Very disappointed in this pair of Keen Voyageur Hiking Shoes (Midnight blue/gargoyle color). I purchased a pair in 2013 (Black Olive/Inca Gold)and am still wearing them. This pair feels significantly different. Old pair have generous amount of toe box room, these don't and isn't adequate. They look similar (except for color) but aren't. Although this shouldn't make any difference the old pair are mfg'd in China and the new pair in Thailand. I am very satisfied with Zappo's service, however I was able to find and try on a new Black Olive/Inca Gold pair at Gander Mountain and they fit exactly like the my old pair (oh, and they were mfg'd in China too). I really wanted a new color and the blue was very nice, however, I believe Keen has changed the Voyageur specs. and I may not be happy with their shoes in the future when my second pair wear out.

This is my first experience with Keen shoes. I found them extremely stiff compared to multiple pair of Merrell, Asolo and Bates shoes/boots I've had. I do not have narrow feet or heels, yet for some reason my heels slid laterally in these shoes. The insoles also did not go all the way to the front of the shoe, there was about a 1/4" gap and my toes felt it. I really wanted to be a fan, but I was not impressed.
