I ordered the recommended size and these Keens were too short. Rather large toe box, but that is not necessarily a negative. I didn’t actually like the way they looked, but would have kept them if the fit was great.

I wanted to love it, but within a few hours of wearing the shoe I had intense pain on a specific spot in the side of one of the soles of my left foot--something in the shoe presses there. Can't wear them, must return.

The fit was okay but the side lacing was directly against the top of my foot and it hurt - all the time.

Looks like Keen shoes are made wide. My size is 6 Medium. I ordered 6.5 M originally as I always do when buying boots or walking /hiking shoes. The shoes felt so wide that my feet seemed to push forward and my big toes hurt even though it was 1/2 size longer.I thought to exchange them for my regular shoe size hoping to remedy the situation. The new pair was 6 M. Again the same problem. The shoe felt wide yet even more tight against my toes. Unfortunately the second pair needed to be returned as well. i will not try Keen again.

These were the most uncomfortable hiking shoes I've ever worn. I felt like I was walking on platform shoes or stilts. The soles were very stiff and walking on uneven ground made the shoe tilt rather than absorbing the roughness of the surface, so I felt unbalanced all the time. They made my feet hurt, and I ended up tossing them after a few weeks of trying to break them in. Back to Merrell for life.

I wanted these to work, liked the look on my foot. They felt slightly wide and the wider toe box felt good. However the length was just a half size too short. I am a consistent 9.5 but the 10 was not available and would likely be too wide, back they go.

I have had several pairs of these shoes over the years and they have always fit perfectly and have been very comfortable. There is something odd about these. My feet seems to slide forward and my toes are pushed into the ends of the shoes. This is very uncomfortable. Since I wore them I assumed I would not be able to get a credit. However, if you could I issue a credit I would really appreciate it.

I ordered a half size up from my normal and these were still too short for my feet. The toe box was nice and wide and accommodated my bunions, but the arch support was not great. Also, there is a weird plasticy, crunchy noise in the tongue area. These are going back.

Love Keen shoes! My last pair of Voyageurs lasted 6 years, albeit with the help of some super glue to keep the black rubber soles attached and wear in the fabric of the heal, this is a remarkable lifespan for todays shoes. I could not part with them, but was able to keep them a bit longer with a few creative fixes. My previous pair was size 9 and fit like a glove. I ordered both 9 and 9.5 just to be on the safe side. My toes hit the toe box in the 9 (very small) and the 9.5 felt like a better fit (standing still). So I kept the latter. I tested them on flat indoor surfaces and could feel my heel slightly lifting so I tightened the laces, which helps for a while until you have to tighten again. So I took them to the trail...on the downhill, my feet slid into the toe box, leaving space at my heel. My feet did not feel safe or comfortable. I felt like I was walking on eggshells until I reached a flat surface. I kept wearing thinking that it must be me, until I rolled my foot on the trail and received no support from the shoe. Contacted Zappos (they rock, by the way) and they offered alternatives which I will try. This sizing issue has also happened with the Presidio (mary jane Keen) shoe. I have 2 pair in 2 colors, one in 9 and one in 9.5. I have adapted to wear one with socks and the other without. Unfortunately, this gets expensive, so hoping that Keen has not changed its sizing...at this point a 9.25 would be perfect. Zappos is not aware of any manufacturer changes, but hoping this helps anyone else that is experiencing a size variation in the same shoe.

Sad as I bought a pair of these last year and have worn them down! Bought to replace but these are not the same shoe! Very stiff uncomfortable... will be sending these back!

I'm very sad -- this would have been my fourth pair of Voyageurs. I ordered my same old size but when I tried them on they were too small. Maybe my feet have changed or maybe I got a bum pair so ordered a half size larger. The second pair just didn't feel right, maybe another bum pair?? Drove to Portland to the Keen Garage to get to the bottom of this, these are my go-to work shoes and I NEED them! Tried on several pair and none of them felt right. What changed? The person at the store said that they probably changed factories where they were being made. So sad. I have worn (this is embarrassing) 15 styles of Keens over the years with great success but now my confidence in the brand is shaken. I have tried on the Made in the USA styles a couple of times but they are just too heavy and stiff. I am giving this two stars because of Zappos fantastic service. Dear Keen, please don't mess with a great shoe!

I purchased these shoes 7 months ago and have worn them 3-4 times a week for local hiking with my dog. They had some slip at the heel, but were comfortable, good stability on trail. Several months ago I developed two huge blisters on my heel after a hike. I thought it was my socks, but realized that two quarter size holes had developed in the lining of the heels of the shoe! Zappos totally took care of me, but I will not order them again!

Keen have let me down! I've been tromping around on the same old Keen hiking boots and they need replacement. I tried the Voyageur in my regular size only to find them short in the toe. I tried the next size up but they were too big in the foot. Also, the arch support was puny. Boo!

Disappointed, looks like poor quality control at Keen, 8.5 usually fits me, this pair is short. Not the usual wide, boxy toe on this shoe.

I don't know, these just didn't work for me. They didn't mold to feet as I expected them to. I felt like I wearing clown shoes - the top part of the shoe is so wide and unflattering. These were returned promptly.

Way too wide and too big in the forefoot area and heal area! I wore thick socks and also double socks--there's no solution. (I love my Uneeks and old Keen waterproof knee boots so it's not my feet--but the design of these shoes.)

Why are all the reviews from 2011 and 2012. No positive reviews in over 10 years?

I really want to love these, I love Keen shoes because they fit my wide feet, however they are super heavy. If I had to wear enforced toe shoes they would be perfect.

Too narrow for problem feet. Ordered Targhee II hiking shoe and so much better. I'm keeping with that one!

Have loved Keen in the past. My last pair of this style of shoe lasted @14 years; I finally had to purchase another pair in July 2020. Unfortunately a chunk of sole near the heel fell off recently, making this relatively new pair unwearable and so worthless to me. I am incredibly disappointed.

I have loved all of my Keen shoes and boots, but not these. I could not believe how small they ran! I had to sadly return them. I did not reorder as the width was fine, but the length was way too short, and a larger size would have been too wide.

I tried really hard to like this shoe but NO...It hurt my toe and upper my feet. I have to buy a new pair hiking shoe which they are not cheap. Really upsetting. Please do not buy it.

Hated everything about these. Ugly, too small, uncomfortable, etc. Returned.
