I purchased two sets of boots for Christmas, one of the boots looked powdery. I sent it back three weeks ago. I already received the replacement boot. Excellent customer service.

These boots are absolutely amazing! I have been coveting a pair of Hunter boots for some time. I originally purchased the Wattling style, as I wanted something a little bit different. The fit did not leave much room at all for thick socks or tucking pants in. I figured the original Hunter would be similar. I purchased the Huntress style in navy and they are absolutely perfect! I am normally 8½ or 9, sometimes W width. I got the 8 and there is room for thick socks and I can easily tuck my jeans in. I wore them as soon as it rained and I was in heaven. They do a get a little warm when the weather is warm, so I imagine they will be great in winter with wool socks. If you are on the fence and have muscular/larger calves, do not hesitate. You will not regret purchasing these boots

I have had so much trouble finding boots to fit my wide calves and these were perfect. I can not recommend them enough!! I wear a 7 1/2-8 and ordered a 7 and it fits perfectly. I even have room for thick socks. These boots are wonderful.

So I've had a difficult time fitting into boots the boots are just too narrow, but I just got the Huntress black glossy boot today in the mail. Tried them and they're a perfect fit, definitely wider than the original Hunter, so comfortable. Love the boot - it's a perfect fit, width is perfect. I recommend them if you have a hard time fitting into boots that seem narrow at calf.

I bought the Huntress after reading reviews about how narrow the original can be at the calf. It's a bit big for me, but great for wearing with any pair of pants. I bought the Hunter socks, and they are great! They keep the feet warm and comfy. After reading the reviews, I bought the spray oil too. I'm glad I did because I left them by the heat vent, and they "bloomed" (turned white) which I was warned it does. Spraying the oil and wiping it down with an old rag made it look like new.

The boots are wonderful -- I have a hard time finding boots that fit my calves. I ordered a size down after reading some of the reviews & I'm glad I did! You will love these boots and be excited when it rains or snows! Zappos costumer service is amazing as well!

Love these! I previously had the Bearpaw version, thinking I didn't really need to spend the money on Hunters to have a good shoe, but those fell apart within a year and I returned them for these. They are really well constructed, comfy and keep my feet dry! They are not warm by any means, but I'm hoping the welly socks I ordered help with this.

I love them, the wider calf was perfect for me and I can easily tuck my jean leggins and my regular jeans in to them! I needed a size that was a little smaller than my regular size.

I am in no means a large girl, I am 5ft 2in and I weigh 130lbs. I do know that I have larger calves though, and this boot is great for that, make sure that you measure the width of your calf to make sure that it will fit into the boot. I love these because I even have room to put my stretchy pants into them. I don't think jeans will fit, but the smaller your calf the more thicker pants you can wear with them. These are cute, really good in the rain and even the snow, and keep your feet and legs protected and dry! (I am usually a 7.5 in shoes, but I got these in a 7)

I recently ordered these in navy, and I'm loving them! I really wanted the Hunter originals since they are 3 inches taller in the shaft (since I'm 5'10"), but my fat calves prevent me from pulling them up. These were the next best alternative (even if they don't come in aubergine). I tried the originals in a 10 and they felt very loose in the foot, so I ordered a 9 for the Huntress and they're perfect (usually I can wear a 10, but often times I have to order 10.5 or 11)! I was very surprised about this! I've already had the chance to test these out in heavy downpours and sideways rain, my feet stay dry while the rest of me gets soaked. The back of the right shoe rubs my heel a little bit since my right foot is just slightly smaller than my left, but it's not a blister causing rub -- just a little uncomfortable at the end of the day (since I wear them all day long). Otherwise, they're very comfy with great support (especially for a rain boot). These are also the lightest pair of rain boots I've ever owned. They're not clunky and don't bunch at the ankle nearly as much as cheaper rain boots.

As a Portland, Or native it is ludicrous that I have never owned a pair of rain boots until now. These were the perfect choice. They are confortable, flexible, waterproof and cute. The Huntress is excellent for a someone who struggles to find a comfortable calf width and I just love the classic black color. You will love them!

Love Zappos! I was upgraded to VIP and got my new boots in one day! They are perfect and I'm sure I'll wear for years so worth the investment.

Loving these boots! They are comfy and stylish. I even wore them with a dress. Can't wait for more rainy days! Just a quick tip- if you have big calves definitely get the Huntress instead of the classic Hunters.

I really love these boots. I've been looking for a pair of Hunter boots for years, but the Original did not give me enough room in the calf. The Huntress gives me enough room to tuck jeans into them. They are perfect for rain/snow and I know I'll wear them frequently this winter. They are wide through the ankle and foot, but it you wear a thick sock you don't really notice.

These are excellent! I got the Huntress after reading the reviews that indicated that the Hunters were narrow in the calf for a woman of 5'11. I am glad I did!Rain, Rain, go away. Also good for the upcoming snow! The boots are made for the socks that you buy with them for a good fit.

I love these boots. I'm 5'4 with wider calves and I love the height and width of these boots. They are perfect. I can comfortably fit jeans in them with thick socks. They run about a half size larger. Normally I wear a 7 1/2 but the 7 fits me perfectly.

It is nice that Hunter has a version of this boot with the wider calf; however, I don't like that it is several inches shorter than the original. I have tried both on, and I am keeping this one only because I can wear it with more pants; the original I can only wear with super skinny jeans or leggings (i.e. this wider calf is more practical). But the other one is taller, and has that 'look' that people want in a way that this one does not quite have. So it wins for practicality, which is what I need right now, but I am bummed it isn't as fashionable. If it were the same height as the original, even with the wider calf, I still think the more fashionable look could be pulled off!

I read a lot of the reviews. I ordered 2 sizes, 1 an 8 and 1 a 9. 8-8.5 is my normal size. I kept the 8. My calves are larger and have a hard time with any boots, even though I'm a size 8. The 8's fit great, with the Wellie sock and pants tucked in they were a bit tight but fit fine. I can't wait to use them walking from the train to work in the rain and snow.

These went over my legs and jeans fine. Reasonably comfy for a rainboot. I ordered an American size 9, which seemed true to size, but if you are close to 9.5, this boot will be too short. The width is generous.

I love these, I'm 5'1, and they are the perfect height, almost to my knee. They def wouldn't fit me with jeans tucked in though although they fit nicely with tights. Usually wear a 6.5 and ordered a 6, and they fit perfectly.

These boots are really comfortable and stylish. My feet stay dry. They are cold, though. I need to try the liners.

I'm normally a 6 1/2 or 7, and I ordered a size 6. With socks, they fit perfectly. I also have normal-sized calves but bought this model because I heard that, unlike the other model, there is actually room for jeans/pants inside the boot. Totally true! And well worth the money. They are so comfortable I even wear them on days when it isn't forecast to rain!

These are classic. The manufacturer(Hunter)has been producing rubber products for over 150 years. Farmers to the British royal family have worn this boot to keep their feet dry. I happen to also like the aesthic appeal in that they somewhat resemble an English riding boot. It was recommended to order a half size down, which I have and the fit is perfect. These are comfortable and any debris or mud is easy to clean off with a good hosing down. If they develop a whitish haze (which is a natural occurrance for rubber products) or minor scratches they can be easily cleaned and restored with Hunter boot buffer. If you require arch support just place an arch support insole inside and you'll be fine. I love them.

Great rainboots! I would agree with other reviewers that the boots do run a size big. Thanks to pregnancy, my feet are now a 9.5. I could fit into the 8 but that left no room for the inserts or heavy socks. The 9 is a little big but not falling off and with a good pair of socks or the inserts are just fine.
