Zappos provides incredible speedy deliveries! These boots are cute but still a pinch tight around my fat calves.

I've been wanting a pair of classic Hunter boots for forever, but didn't think they'd fit my calves. The Huntress boots are perfect! I have wider calves and often have trouble fitting taller boots, but these are a perfect fit and I'm pretty sure would even go over my skinny jeans. I wore them all day during a particularly stormy day, and they were comfy the whole day. Love these, and love the super-fast Zappos delivery! Size-wise, I felt they were true to size. I usually wear between a 9.5 and a 10, and ordered the 10. With socks, they fit perfectly. Absolutely recommend these well-made, stylish boots.

Last week I returned Kamik Naomi in wide width because they were not wide enough; Zappos emailed me about these, got them the next day. They fit! They are wide enough to tuck jeans in. I usually take a 7½W shoe, sometimes an 8M fits depending on style (I have a high instep, narrow heel, arthritic big toe joint and bunion). After reading reviews, I got the size 7. The footbed is not tight, but might put in a different or second insole. Some years ago I tried the Hunter style but they were not wide enough. Finally someone made boots for a wider calf, which actually are wider! I only wish the sock liners were made for these wider boots. In time, I hope.

I absolutely love my Hunter Huntress boots. It is usually hard to find boots with enough room to tuck my jeans in, but these are perfect. They are plenty wide enough for my very wide foot. These boots are well made and very comfortable. I was able to walk long distances and stand for hours in them right out of the box. Zappos was, as usual, a pleasure to work with. There is not a better company online.

Okay, I can honestly say I love these rainboots. I have very wide feet, they fit perfectly. I have larger calves; it's enough room for me to tuck my pants in. They run a whole size larger if you ask me. But overall I love them.

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. She put them right on and would not take them off. She was so excited. She had tried to buy these before, but her calf was too wide. She is short and thin, and these looked great on her.

Bought these boots as a gift for my girlfriend. Had originally bought the regular Hunter boots, but the shaft was too narrow for her. Bought the Huntress boots and they fit great. Returning the old boots was easy and didn't cost me a thing. I definitely recommend the non glossy black boots. They hold up much better. That advice was passed to me by other Hunter owners and it's definitely true. Very happy with purchase experience.

Love, love, love these boots! They will be your beat friends during the rain sleet and snow. I bought the huntress for the extra calf space. I wanted to be able to tuck in my jeans and still have room for the warm wellie knit socks. I recommend you not only by the hunter boots but it's warm cool and stylish knit socks. You wont regret it!

I am a tall woman (5'9) with big feet (size 11-12) and big calves. I read the reviews and noted how many said this boot runs big. I took a chance and ordered a size 10, and it fits perfectly! I can wear these with thick socks and with skinny jeans tucked inside. The top of the boot comes up high enough so you don't get that chopped off stubby look (which makes your legs look larger). Great boot!

I originally bought the Original Tall Hunter boot for women and, due to my "athletic" calves, could not fit my calves comfortably in the boot. I was heartbroken, until I came across these! No more sausage calves & the boots are stylish and comfortable.

Love these! Been looking forever for rainboots in rainy Portland. I have problems with most boots and need wide calf, somehow found these and they are perfect! I'm 5'1 and the height is perfect, just under knee. Usually a 6.5, ordered a 6 and fit great. Spendy but well worth it if you plan to wear often.

I have large calves. Like, really large. Most of me varies from a size 6-8 but I would guess my calves at a 12. Because of this boots rarely fit. I had tried the traditional Hunter boots and felt like sausage legs, then I saw the Huntress and thought I should try them. I will admit, they are not as roomy in the calf as I would like, but they fit with jeans tucked in. They also seem to come in a much more limited color selection than the standard version, but I ordered navy and found them true to the on-line pics. Once I overcame my fears and wore them outside, I found they were extremely comfortable. I would compare them to slightly clumpy tennis shoes. Best of all, when I got home after a rainy day, my feet were completely dry and warm. Overall two thumbs up.

Reviews indicate that these boots runs large, but not so for me! I wear a 7 and ordered a. My big toe hits at front. I suggest ordering your usual size. The boots are gorgeous.

Great boot. The Huntress style is very easy to slip into and take off, unlike most tall rain boots. I am a size 7 in dress shoes, generally get an 8 in boots and tennis shoes. Based on other reviews went with 7, and they fit great. I even tried on with mid-weight socks and blue jeans tucked into boot, still fit great!

Beautiful rainboot for those who don't like the classic Hunter because it is too tall or they need a wider calf. I have a very wide calf (17" at its widest part) and this boot still fits me comfortably. Overall a great buy.

I wanted the original Hunter boot, however my calves were to wide (13.5 inches) to fit my leg and leggings/jeans comfortably. The Huntress is perfect! Like most Hunter boots they are roomy in the ankles, but the calves where great! I wear them for Mardi Gras parades (meaning walking miles and standing for hours) and they were very comfortable.

I ordered these boots after the Hunter Originals did not fit my athletic calves. I found that these were way too wide in the ankle and lower calf, while still a bit snug when worn over pants and with the Welly socks around my calf muscle. I do a fair amount of cycling, hiking, running, etc so I have good sized muscular calves. These boots are not built for athletic women, being too wide at the bottom and still snug around the calf muscle.

I love these boots. Puddles truly have nothing on them. I would order a half size smaller than what you normally wear in a tennis shoes. There is a chalky residue that builds up on them, and I haven't quite figured out what it is or how to handle that. :)

Order a size up if you want to wear them with liners ("Welly socks"). When I'm wearing them without the liners I have to use insoles (just took them out of a pair of sneakers). The larger calves on these were just what I needed; the ankles are a little big, but that could just be me. I'm looking forward to wading through knee-high snow while keeping warm and dry this winter (and splashing through puddles the rest of the year).

Cute boots, but a bit clunky and difficult to walk in. Popular and stylish, but not practical in the least.

The shoes were cute. But fit awful. Although the calf was wide enough, the ankle was huge! And when I'd walk the all the extra material around the ankle would bend...making my feet look disgusting, misshaped, and really fat.

Love these boots! They look great, feel great and are the perfect height for my 5'3 self. I originally ordered the Hunter Original Tall boots, they were way to tall for me, so I sent them back and got the Huntress and they are amazing! I hope this helps others out. They are also not as snug around my calf.

I've had these Huntress boots now for several years. I live on a farm and wear them hard every day spring/summer/fall (they are just not warm enough for winter here in Ohio, but I didn't expect them to be). So far they are holding up extremely well, much better than any other rubber boot I've had. The Hunter label has worn off (I walk through a lot of brush daily) and I added gel pad insoles for more comfort, but otherwise they are still in great condition. I highly recommend these boots...they may seem expensive at first, but they last way longer than cheaper brands.

This is an excellent product! I am a dog walker, and I wear these boots trekking through woods, creeks, mud, marshland... so far they have held up really well. I have gone through 2 other pairs of Wellington boots, Made in China, and they were awful. I did choose to get the Huntress, rather than Hunter, because they are a bit shorter. I am 5'6 and I'm pretty sure the Hunter would have been too tall.
