These boots are fantastic. I have wide calves and these boots are a little snug, but not uncomfortable. The green color is gorgeous (goes with everything!). I live in a city that is 2 feet below sea level so any amount of rain becomes flooding, these boots work perfect!

I needed a pair of boots for walking around the beach while not in my fishing waders. Needed to replace my LLBean Wellies after 35 years. Huntress looks well made and should be durable. The boot is a little shorter that what I wanted (1 less than the Hunter Original Back Adjustable). The foot and ankle were a little sloppy until I put my heavy wool socks on, guess that is why the call them the Huntress. They accommodated nicely my 17 calf (with jeans) with some room to spare. My heel does lift a little when I walk but this will be acceptable. I was able to get them on and off easily, unlike the other two boots I tried, this is the primary reason I selected this style. I had ordered 3 styles: this, the Bogs Classic High and Hunter Original Back Adjustable. Wound up selecting the Huntress. Bought an 11 (12 not available), my normal shoe size is 12N. Hunter had recommended Original Back Adjustable and Huntress for people who need more than a 15 calf diameter.

Love these rain boots. Super comfortable. I'm short and this one fits perfectly. I ordered the short and original Hunter it was either too short or too long.

I've been wanting these boots forever and I'm so glad I finally bought them! I normally wear an 8.5 & I ordered these in an 8. They are a tiny bit big but nothing thick winter socks or an insole can't fix. I can wear these perfectly over regular jeans without that bulky look.

Love these boots. I tend to have larger calves and these fit wonderfully. I ordered them with the boot socks and now my feet are nice and dry for kids sporting events in the midwest!

These fit perfectly. I am an 8½ and ordered an 8 and there is still room for thick socks. The length is perfect since I have shorter legs without making my legs look stumpy which is how the adjustable Hunter boots made my legs look. I went for a long dog walk in the rain the day after I received the boots and they were very comfortable.

Originally I purchased the classic Hunter boots but found they were too tall for me (I'm 5'2) and cut off my knees. I returned and ordered these and they were perfect. Slightly larger in the calves but not very noticeable and better for layering with socks.

I love the Huntress boots; they are very comfortable. I ordered my true size 7 and they fit perfectly even with room for me to wear socks. They do run a little big but when I ordered a 6, I had room in the foot area but no room for my calves. If you have big calves, I would just order your normal size.

Finally found the right Hunter boots for me! I have a little thicker calf and the regular original Hunters were too high and too tight on the calf. These are just right! Thought I may were them is rainy weather, but here in New England it's been a crazy snowy winter and with insulated socks these are all I ever leave the house in! Love them, cute, stylish and comfortable.

I have wide feet and normally have trouble finding comfortable rain boots. These fit great, even a little big, and are so easy to slip on. I wear them everywhere!

My daughter requested Hunter boots for Christmas. The regular style was too long in the leg, as she is petite, and too tight for her athletic calves. So, back they went and the Huntress was ordered. These boots are a perfect fit. Easy on and off, but snug enough to keep out the cold and wet. She is thrilled to have them, and wears them if it even looks like rain! The only negative was not being available in the aubergine color she wanted originally. Very happy with the construction and quality of this boot.

Nice boot overall! I would recommend to size down as I had to send back to get a smaller size then usual. Calf size is def bigger then original Hunter.

Just what I needed for walking through muck and mud on our farm. These boots are wide enough at the top to easily accommodate a pair of jeans tucked in, keeping my pant legs dry. They run a bit wide and long but a thick pair of socks does the trick. A great boot.

I received the Hunter Original Gloss size 7 for Christmas (in pink). And loved them. My only issue was they felt a little tight, not like rain boots and I wanted to be able to wear the wellie socks in them (they would have worked had I not wanted to wear some thick socks on occasion). I tried on the 8 Original but being only 5' 2" it hit too high on my knee. So after doing some research I discovered the Huntress as they are a little shorter. Perfect! I wear a 7.5 normally and ended up getting a 7 in the Huntress. Same size as I had before but due to the wide calf they feel exactly the way rain boots should and the height is perfect! At first I was kind of bummed about not being able to have pink but now I really like having the black as it is more versatile. I also choose to not order gloss as the gloss looses the shine eventually anyway. I cannot wait to wear them a lot more!

Long overdue and awesome purchase! I am pretty short with high arches so the Huntress was perfect for me. The Original Hunters came up just too high on my calves - the Huntress is just right. I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly with extra space in the calves for high thick socks, jeans or leggings!

I ordered the navy and just love the color! I have average size calfs, and I will have room to tuck jeans in. I tried six other types of rain boots but these were the winners!

This is a great Product! As usual, fast shipping! They are more flattering for a female than the traditional Hunter unisex boot. The heel is a little higher than the unisex boots.

Lost my first pair of Hunter boots and was lost until the replacements arrived. Great boots. I'm on the short side and the mid calfs ft perfectly. Up to all challenges and Maine weather. Durable, comfortable, and with a shot from the garden hose nice enough for a stroll down Newbury St. in Boston.

I love these boots! I was not so sure what color to get but I decided to go with the color black because it matches with everything and there are so many options of outfits. Also, I was worried that these shoes were not going to be wide enough for my calves, but they were perfect. I just have to put long socks over my jeans and the boots slide in smoothly. I do not have to force my feet into the boots, which is very nice. Last thing, I got the one day shipping but my shoes ended up arriving three days after purchased. I am totally okay with that since I did not have to pay for the one day shipping, but if I did have to pay, I think it would tick me off a little.

So, many of the reviews said that these boots ran big, but since I tend to like a little extra room, I went ahead and ordered my regular size 10. Well, they are HUGE! At first I thought they would be good, but as I walked in them, my feet were slipping around. If I held my foot up, they would literally slip right off my leg and I'm not a small woman. I ordered the huntress since I have larger (I like to say "muscular") calves. That part felt comfortable but the boots were just too big, even with the socks (which also run very large). I still love them so I returned for a smaller pair. They just arrived a few days ago and they are a much better fit! Now I'm ready to hit the city in style!

I have been coveting Hunter wellies for about 5 years! I finally splurged on these & they were a great purchase! I bought a couple pairs of the wellie socks & that helps make the boots warmer for winter in Minnesota. These make me feel confident stepping into any snow piles / puddles & keep my feet dry & warm. I don't wear them when it's below 20 degrees (I have fur lined winter boots for that), but they are perfect when it's snowing or sludgy spring weather. I love these!

Excellent for girls with wide calves. I have been looking like crazy for rain boots that fit my athletic legs, I play soccer and bike, so finding a pair of rubber boots that actually fit me seemed impossible. They not only fit but look super cute, the only problem is that it doesn't offer a lot of support in the back of the boot, but that's okay for me. It's real rubber and it's super comfy. If you don't have really large calves, you should go for the Adjustable Hunter better, they'll probably fit you better and are knee-high. Good luck girls!

These fit well and I have a larger calf. They have weight to them but very comfortable from the moment I put them on.

I bought these boots for my daughter who is a college freshman. They are perfect for walking around campus in both rain and snow. I followed the previous customer reviews. We ordered a size down and when with huntress instead of the original. She can wear them with her jeans tucked in and the size is perfect. We also ordered the socks for the colder days. LOVE THEM!
